Pausing / Stopping self destruct:  

 

When you self destruct Pause and stop button will be added if you clicked on stop the self destruct will stop if pause meaning the self destruct is paused.   E.X: I clicked on Delete ( Self Destruct ) button by accident  and i don't want to self destruct so stop or pause it.

Developers said that this was intentionally not added to prevent abuse of the function, such as when you are in a 1v1 and you use the delete option to kill yourself faster when in a bad situation, but cancel the self-destruct if the situation works out.

 

I don't really understand their logic in this matter and I do like this idea, but that's just what they decided.

Maybe you accidently clicked it when gold drops and you can pause it.

yes sometimes you click delete by accident when you're near gold or going to go to gold.

Some times i click delete instead of Enter because in my keyboard enter is next to delete.

Sometimes I fall from a height and press delete, but then I land the right way, and want to cancel it.

This would be very useful.

What if in real life Tank drivers decide to self-destruct in following 5 seconds but then they see it is useless since enemy dies immediately, they don't need to kamikaze right now and they abort the self-destruction. But on the other side - "Delete" button is just like a button in that tank, so yeah, it will self-destruct.

I'll be honest with you, I don't think "self-destruction" (i.e. suicide) is considered to be a normal procedure for actual tank operators. I'm pretty sure they don't even have the ability to blow up their own tank that easily, so no big red buttons on the control panel. Not to mention that in real life people usually don't tend to kill themselves just to make sure that the enemy doesn't "get the kill".

 

Comparing Tanki Online to real life is generally not a good idea, let alone comparing such a ridiculous concept as self-destruction.

There could perfectly exist a Cancel button, to cancel the self destruction.

 

And the window of time after we are dead that gives us the time to pause should be longer, so we can change equipment before respawn.

Yes sometimes i got flipped and hit delete but my teammate comes to help me
