A Good Thing About Tanki Online

~All texts are my opinions | No hate comment plz~

Tanki Online is a free-for-all fast multiplayer game consisting of Tanks though it is relatively unpopular compared to other games. I believe that the reason for its unpopularity is its large number of flaws: major buyers with premium equipment, drugs, uneven teams, poor match-making system, unsatisfying graphics, and so on. I can go on and on about its flaws, but certainly not its positive aspects; its positive aspects are limited. The most common positive aspect of it is that it can be played through a browser, online, without needing to download anything (cache not included). Others include the ability to run with minimum computer requirements. However, there is one good side of Tanki Online that most of us do not know of, or simply are unaware of it. Everyone is equal.

At first, you may disagree with me.The statement depends on what you are implying by ‘equal’. Obviously Tanki Online is not ‘equal’ in terms of its game play, equipment, or buyer-non-buyer situation, but when it comes to a usual conversation in Tanki Online, everyone is equal, in terms of age, work, hobby, lifestyle, etc. When you first meet someone in EN 2 server chat, you will not wonder if the player talking to you is richer than you or poorer than you. You may wonder if the person talking to you is a girl, but you will certainly not think of his (or her (gender equality!)) age. At the very first conversation, this is likely the case. When the first words are passed in between, the thoughts are not of age, wealth, nationality, but often of "Is that guy a freakin’ noob!? Buyer! No wonder he got the golds!". Cough, I know that this isn’t really what happens, but I am trying to make this composition interesting. Anyway, this paragraph is getting big, so on to the next.

If you and someone have been together quite a while long, you will probably get into a deeper conversation.

“What’s your age Limmy?”

“26, why?”

“Wow! You are 10 years older than me! No wonder you are so mature”

“Thanks, want to ro Poly CP?”

“Sure”

There is a big age difference, yet the two went along just fine, playing Tanki Online together, just as if they were two school friends. Age does not matter (in Tanki Online). You will have friends of completely different ages: some older, some young. They can be a girl or a boy, and you would completely be okay with that. It won’t matter to you if he is rich, or poor. It won’t matter if he lives in a large estate in Britain while you live in a Middle Classed Indian house in Mumbai which is infected by diarrhea. All that you see of each other is but a screen. A screen illuminating your eyes. That’s exactly what you see. You may have seen them on Facebook, had a voice call, heck, you could have possibly even talked about each other’s personal life, but that doesn’t matter, as I said earlier.

In real life, normally someone of aged 14 wouldn’t talk about video games with a 25-year-old guy, much less a guy of 40. In this game, we play along as if we are the same. Some days ago, @LIMITFULL confessed that he is 45 years old. I was shocked. I thought, “Why is he playing Tanki Online! Shouldn’t he be spending time with his children!? More importantly, why will he even make friends with a 14-year-old? I mean, that’s odd!” Then it hit me. This is just a game. Life is just a game. Just like Tanki Online.

Everyone is okay with each other at first. As they go deeper and deeper, they find more and more information of each other. I believe that life is a game of adventure. You play this game, and your mission is to venture into the wild, the heart of someone else. You encounter several obstacles throughout your life. You will face several difficulties. From the very lion that roared, till the very boss that keeps shouting to you to get back to your work: all of it is a game. Things become interesting, creepy, or simply normal, as you venture into someone else’s life. You find many differences. In the end, we are the same. Both of us are humans. All this geography does not divide us, it describes us. Nevertheless, real life and Tanki Online has one major difference: the goal. In real life, we have several goals: Getting a job, going to a date with that thief who stole your heart, learning, and so on. Thus, in real life, these descriptions are what helps us in achieving our goals. Someone’s personality, efficiency, and ingenuity are what helps him get a job. In Tanki, it is different. The goal is to play and have fun. None of the descriptions are used to achieve the goal of having fun. The only descriptions there are is of tanks. That’s all (in my opinion, k?). In real life, the descriptions often separate an old man and a young child. But in Tanki, the descriptions are of no hindrance.

After Limmy spoke about himself, some of us were shocked for a while. That really didn’t matter though. In fact, I was quite surprised to find out how amazing it is that a kid like me is playing with a dude like him. I was am happy. I felt as if he was a teenager, just a more mature teenager.

It looks like Tanki Online does have an *actual* good thing. When you talk with someone, you don’t see a face, you see a screen. Your brain is the one who does all the thinking and structuring. Your brain is what tries to imagine what the other person may live like. You and the other is somewhat equal. It feels equal.

Very nice work. You've made a very good point here and one which I can appreciate. I have been in clans with players who were in their 40s and we got along great, just as if we were the same age. I think the reason that so many of today's younger people tend to stick with people their own age is the education system. We're forced to spend most of our childhoods with other humans of exactly the same age, due to the organization of most schools (in my experience anyway). This makes talking to younger/older people far more awkward than it should be and in the end, many people simply cannot relate to others who aren't of the same age.

I remember when I was about 7 I was invited to a neighbouring child's house to play. We got along fine together and spent several happy hours playing. However, at the time I remember feeling extremely puzzled by the fact that this child could not relate to my younger brother (who came with me) at all. He would only answer questions with yes/no answers and refused to make any conversation. Even from that age he had been channeled into only being able to relate to children of his age by the education system.

Very nicely written, with plenty of interesting sentences and words. Looking forward to seeing more of you here!

Tanki is a game that can be played through without needing to spend money. Sadly, not many people know how. Funny how I can flaunt my Stinger around like I' telling the devs their pockets can stay empty because I bought my Stinger with hard earned crystals. On my last account I got Voltage and Northerner without spending money. I have an 8/10 M2 Hammer with the M2 Alteration as well.

Why were indents removed? All essays are supposed to have indents, right? Or is it just my teacher?

^A colon was here. The use of colons is according to google is, "A colon instead of a semicolon may be used between independent clauses when the second sentence explains, illustrates, paraphrases, or expands on the first sentence.". Over here, I am trying to make the conversation explain the "into a deeper conversation". Therefore, shouldn't the colon exist here?

^Due to color change, the word 'confessed' doesn't look like a link anymore. Could I recolor/re-link it?

Ending an essay:

Sum up an argument

Climax

Air of finality

Repeat your thesis

Future

If my thesis was "Everyone is equal", shouldn't it be repeated here?

PS: I am posting this to improve my English

Since you've never ranked up above brigadier, your statement holds only till that rank.

Major General onwards - check out the balance between the buyers and non-buyers.

Non-buyers simply do not have ennough supplies.

Nice work PPS...

Life truly is a game.  Everything that you come across.  There are multiple routes to carry a flag back to your base, just as there are many ways to get there in the first place.  You will have people on your side, and some will be against you.  You help your friends, they help you.  You find people that are better players, and watch them - learn, ask questions, find out how you can help them too (go for GOOD karma)...  You find trainers / mentors, people that have faced similar obstacles and succeeded.  Never assume you know everything ... ASSuME.  There is always more to learn, and the environment around you is always changing.  Learn to be fluid, adjust the sails when the winds change.  Just keep moving forward.  And try to be better.  And think about what type of statement you want others to say about you when the day is done.  What would make your mother proud.  You can do things for other people, but ultimately, for success, you have to want to do it for yourself.

hehe, you sound surprised that old people can play with kids or teenager, do you not forget a simple fact that actually should then make plain sens and not make you so surprised?

Most of them have kids on their own and they do play with them too.

Father know how kids behave and react, it gives them an understanding, a compassion, even a certain connivance.

Also it's not because one is old that one cannot play electronic game. They probably grow up along side the computer era and even play on the very first game called Pong while they were young.

Also some grown-up are still kids (immature) in their head, only the cost of the toy increase :D

Some do like competition, could be in sport or e-sport, solo or in team. With electronic game it make us all even. Still young would be smarter to get into the game, fast and skilled with the keyboard, but older people will have more experience and tactics.

Tanki offers all of this.

So true, my oldest friend in Tanki is 65 my youngest friend is 13. They are both clan mates.

I Have always been able to talk to younger and older people in the real world; but as I age it is frowned upon to talk to young people, who are told not to talk to strangers.    Talking about general things is fine but just remember to be cyber safe.  Revealing your Physical location or too much detail about where you live is unwise.
