What exactly will be a crate?

 

Crates will be something that you have a set of chance of getting after a battle ends. It will contain a certain amount of reward, which could be anything from x50 Speed Boosts, x25 Repair Kits or a number of crystals.

 

 

Working:

 

First, free players should have a chance to get crates, meaning that even if they put them in the Shop, there should be at least one way a player can get them from free like Missions, Container Gold Boxes, or another idea which I'll explain now: Let's suppose you're playing a battle - say Rio DM. The battle finished with you ten kills on top of the second person, which means, you've won. You now have a chance of getting a crate after the battle ends. What's the chance? Well, I'd let developers to decide, but it shouldn't be less than 0.1% and more than 10% - again, solely on the discretion of the developers/analysts.

 

Now look, everyone in the battle will have a chance to win a crate after the battle ends, but the higher you are in terms of kills or score, the higher the chance of you winning a crate.

 

In DMs, the top three will have the highest chances, while the people with lesser scores will have lesser chances of getting a crate. In team games, your score will determine your chances to win a crate.

 

But how exactly do you "win" a crate? Let' s say that when the battle ended, the system filled in that 0.1% of you getting a crate. Now you've won a crate, but wont know so until the battle is over. After the battle is over, a notification will pop up on your screen saying that you've won a crate.

 

All the crates you win simply appear in a separate section of your Garage, named 'Crates'.

 

 

Types of Crates:

 

There will be a total of five types of crates, each one having a different set of reward contents. Going from the most common, to the most rare:

  • Crate
  • Warrant Crate
  • Nitro Crate
  • Star Crate
  • Legendary Crate

 

Prizes or Rewards:

 

The crates' rewards will depend on the rank of the person. That is, the higher the rank, the higher the rewards and simply the opposite too.

 

A crate could contain the following rewards:

  • Crystals (x100, x500, x1000, x2000, x5000, x10000)
  • Gold Boxes (x1, x2, x3, x5, x10)
  • Premium Account (1d, 2d, 3d)
  • MU Steps (5 MUs - Railgun, 3 MUs - Isida)
  • Gifts (Teddy Bear, Like, Dislike, Blue Sphere)
  • Pro Pass (1d, 2d, 3d, 5d, 10d, 20d, 30d)
  • Decals or Stickers (Upcoming feature!)
  • Equipment (Any turret, hull, module or paint)

 

Prizes are affected by the crate type. Obviously, the bigger the prize, the more rarer will it be, as it will only be in a rare crate, which itself is very rare to get! For example, let's say you have a 0.0001% chance of getting a crate, you hit that chance, but now it is the system's choice to give you which type of crate. Crate is the most common crate, but the higher the crate type, the more rarer the become. So most of the time, people will only be getting Crate, Warrant Crate or Nitro Crate, while Star and Legendary will be very rare - but again, if you get one these very rare crates, you will have a chance of earning bigger rewards.

 

So there's three chances in total. First, getting a crate; second, type of crate and third, the reward inside.

 

 

Pros & Cons:

 

Pros:

  • Another bonus system, but wont effect the Daily Missions system very seriously, because you have a very little chance of getting a crate itself too.
  • People will play more to earn crates.
  • More game-time means more money for the game, the players and developers both win.
  • Is something that effects non-buyers, since they can earn more.

Cons:

  • Will and should cause a little economic disturbance, can be overwritten by lessening the rewards of Daily Missions a little.
  • There isn't any lock on how many crates you can get in a day. So if a very, very lucky person plays lots of battles, he/she could get something absurd like x10 Gold Boxes, 30d Pro pass and a free turret in the same day. But again, he/she would have be lucky at a number outside of this world.

 

Frequently Asked Questions:

 

Will there be any system to unlock a crate if you gotten one?

No, and probably yes too. There could "keys" which you can buy (from the Shop and the Garage) in order to unlock an acquired crate and get the goodies inside of it. But in my opinion, something like this should be free of cost.

Adding more reward would hurt the game's economy, so this would only be possible as some kind of limited time event during a holiday (like the super rewards from April Fools Golds).

 

Interesting concept, but it really doesn't add anything to the game other than a bunch of random rewards that players will get every now and then. The only real benefit I see from this system is the fact that it rewards players for staying all the way through to the end of the battle, which you surprisingly failed to mention in the "Pros" list.

People will play more referred directly to people completing battles, because that's the only way you can get crates in the first place.

 

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing these in celebrations only.

You know what, I'm putting it under review. It's a valid idea for holiday events, and fine, I guess I'll give you the benefit of doubt with these "crates" being different from TX "containers". I would actually like to see something like this in the game and I definitely approve of encouraging players to stay until the end of a battle.

0.001% at max... are you insane? You could only find one once or twice by the time you get to legend.

Nope, you will be able to get two or three crates per day, four or five if lucky, none if unlucky. If you look overall, almost a million crates could possible be given out everyday to players, even at 0.01%. So, 0.001% is just fine, that is it developers think so.

So, only those that finish 1st will get a chance to get the crates?

No, everyone who finishes the battle will have a chance to get a crate, but the higher you are, higher your chances will be of getting a crate.

Sounds good but i do not think something like that would be added in the game in future because most the player would stop buying and this would effect the tanki online and the thing i like that it would just helps the players to stay in the battle till end

Maybe something like this:

 

Crate: 100 points, minimum fund 50 crystals

Warrant Crate: 1,000 points, minimum fund 100 crystals

Nitro Crate: 10,000 points, minimum fund 500 crystals

Star: 100,000 points, minimum fund 1000 crystals

Legendary: 1,000,000 points, minimum fund 5000 crystals

 

Different rewards would be worth different amounts:

 

Supplies: 2 points (only on rank each supply is unlocked at and up)

Repair kits: 4 points (from Grefrieter)

10 Crystals: 1 point (You could win any amount of crystals, this is just the ratio. Minimum of 1000 crystals could be won.)

Gold Box: 1,000 points (W.O. 1+)

Premium (one day): 500 points (First Sargeant and higher)

Turret/hull: 5,000 points

Paint: 10,000 points

Protection: 10,000 points

XT item: 500,000 points (Legend/Generalissimo only)

 

Rewards would be randomly chosen, but the number of points all the rewards added together is worth would be exactly eaqual to the amount of points each crate contains. Getting a turret/hull would have the chance of 100 in [price of turret/hull in crystals], and getting an XT would be rare enough anyway, as you could only get it in a Legendary crate. The most likely turrets/hulls that you would get would be ones availible on your rank. The further the rank from yours, the less likely. Any number of different rewards could be given.

 

P.S. Crates should be more common than mentioned above. And maybe battlefund has to be over a certain amount for each kind of crate to be rewarded? 10 for normal 100 for warrant, and so on. Gifts would be quite hard to award without changing the way they work. And Pro Pass will be gone soon anyway.

Um, what if people go to, say an empty server, make a battle, and invite some friends to a DM, they kill each other, and wait 15 minutes, friends in the top 3 could get crates, and if they're lucky they could get a free tank, in just 15 minutes. There will be a lot of abuse to this if it is released.

(wow this post is old) At a 0.001% chance of getting a crate, you would have to play 300000 games for a good chance to get 3 a day.

 

I dont think you can play 300000 games a day.

Those are just as an example, the developers can decide the real values.

This sounds like clash royale in the sense you earn chests from battle. I think it should be like this, with Warrant crates taking like 2 days to open, while legendaries take a week or 2. I think this should be something u can earn from missions as well.
