Changing fully micro-upgraded item's texture and the name in the garage and more

So if I were to M4 my Viking, the 'Viking M3' written here, in my Garage would change to 'Viking M4'.

Not necessary but, will make it easier to distinguish items!

I don't think this will happen. The "M4" modification isn't exactly "M4" because it doesn't have its own visual design and its own set of MUs. So labeling M3+ as M4 may confuse a lot of people.

Well, the visual design is indeed in the planning stage. So if it were to officially released, this would be a good update?

I don't think the developers are going to bother making an M4 of the current items, there are already a lot of XTs and 2 new turrets coming already. Even if there is an M4 someday, its too far.

Technically speaking a fully microupgraded hull/turret is M3.75, therefore I doubt they'll ever be labelled as M4. Nonetheless, I still think the appearance should be different and in the garage they could add some kind of indicator to show that a certain hull/turret is indeed fully microupgraded, maybe an icon such as a golden star or just have a certain design on the tank itself (like with XTs.)

Not anymore. After an update that happened a while ago, fully MUd items have exactly the same parameters as the next modification.

Press 'V' or 'R' and you can see the number of Micro-Upgrades one has.

If so, thanks for informing me.

I am aware. I proposed the icon/different design to be as an achievement, not to show other players how microupgraded your tank is.

Most of the time, the difference between m3 and m4 is the greatest difference between all modifications of that hull/turret, meriting a new label.  However, new looks are not needed, as the m3's already look amazing.

After they upped the M3 stats I'm not sure this is true anymore. The gap was closed somewhat.

Hello Tanki Online system!

In my opinion this idea seems legit in the game and will make the players with micro-upgraded items happier!

Explanation of this idea:

When you have a fully micro-upgraded item of a modification the texture of it will change to the texture of the next modification, and the name of the item in the garage will change to the next modification.

For example:

If you got Isida M1 with 10/10 micro-upgrades, the texture of the M1 Isida will be the texture of the M2, and the name in the garage of the "Isida M1" will change to "Isida M2".

Here is a sacrificial picture for the idea:

Seems ok with the changing textures because that doesn't matter IMO. But unlocking access to the next modifications alterations would be unfair and give too much of an advantage considering MU prices have been decreased. Imagine a fully MUed M1 Railgun with the M2 Alteration (40% more damage) at WO1. It would 1-shot everything.

Enjoying your fully micro-upgraded item with its shape that deserves

if its fully MUed you'll get the next upgrade automatically once you reach the needed rank so changing the texture doesnt really help cuz anyone could know isidas stast by presing "V"

For example:

Someone has an M2 Thunder which is fully Mirco-Upgraded.

The player should get an M3 Thunder. However this M3 Thunder can't be Micro-Upgraded.

The player can't MU the thing before he/she has aquired the rank on which he/she can officialy get the M3, which in this case, is the Marshall rank.

So: M2 Thunder [10/10] ----> M3 Thunder [0/20]

MU's aren't unlocked untill the player has reached the sufficient rank.

The same applies for fully upgraded M0, M1, and M2 Turrets and Hulls.

Just change the texture of a fully MU'ed item into the texture of the next modification, Just don't allow the MU's

I hope its clear :3

Removed the part in red. Getting access to M2 alterations when the turret is not yet actual M2 doesn't make sense.

Yes good idea. I have asked for an M4 design quite a few times and my idea was rejected and ignored. That is not fair.

Now, I am so delighted that this idea is placed in the Under Review section for developers to start thinking on implementing this idea in Tanki Online.

For completed M3 micro upgrades, there is a need for an M4 design and changing the name and texture design to M4.

The micro upgrade button should be green, meaning that the M3 modification is complete and its name to M4 and physical design to M4 as well.
