The Poll consists of an ingame poll that works to collect all tankers votes to see if we really wants new updates.

Here devs will start the poll with these new incoming ideas and updates to the game.

What your think?

-

Also i would like if devs hears Posts with a bigger number of Likes than 100.

-

I can add a poll here :(

Like if your like this idea-

Declined

The developers use means like google forms to collect the opinion of players. The players are notified about new polls via the news feature when they enter the game.

So at the moment there is no need to develop an in- game software part to do exactly that what can be done via google forms already today.

Regarding your second idea that developers should get notified about posts that have more then 100 likes -> there won't be an automatism, as this can be abused. Also some posts maybe receive a high number of likes for just containing pointy, sarcastic or humourous content - without aiding the original topic. But your wish to get heard is already done today, as moderators notify the developers about outstanding [posts/ideas regarding their updates/replies to news / ...] already

(ps: please stick to the rule of 1ideaPerThread)

The customer is always right.

Sure?

Example 1:

You are a sales man for ice cream. You offer me ice cream for 1 USD.

I say "I think you should give it to me for free. Everyday again. For ever. Without any chance to have some payback on the longrun".

Would you do that?

Example 2:

- If we make a poll for the question "Should all equipment and supplies in Tanki be for free?"

- then more then 80% would vote for "yes".

- and the game would get bankrupt

> Ergo: the customer is not always right ;)

> Ergo 2: not every saying is applicable to everything ;)

as I explained they use polls but only if they need some extra info (mainly on very large updates).

But instead of crafting an own poll engine (multiple choice answers, one answer per question, multiple simultanious answers per question, ranking-like answers, ask different questions depending on the answers given before, combine pictures in your questions, collect a massive amount of statistics and provide them in a meaningful way instead of having to setup display-spreadsheets by yourself again and again).

..they use a free or cheap poll & statistics provider to get the same result for less effort.

Have you by chance ever participated in a poll made by tanki, that was hosted by a 3rd party poll provider? If yes.. what would you expect to become better if they do the poll engine by themselfes?

..or was your idea not about a >poll system<, but about the frequency of polls? Like to make them more often?

while i do agree that the consumer is NOT always right but Tanki new Indicators are really terrible, and the dev's won't change them back just because of their ego.

Without customers, you're no longer called as helper as you got nothing to help us without "us".

Without developers game gets boring. Developer = Players = helpers. ever heard about a proverb or a fact "all are equal" >?

Not because of their ego.

Why would they show their ego against their profit-making game.. *pointless*

they are making this game in better versions. If you don't like it, complain or suggest your Ideas and win the argument.

I stated that the customer is not always right, and in answer you tell me that customers are important.

Those are two different things.

Sure customers are important - but they are simply not always right.

Same goes for developers, they are also not always right.

Therefore polls do make sense.. I think we all agree up to this point.

the only thing why I declined this idea, is that it is wiser to use existing poll services which are ready out-of-the-box, instead of wasting development ressources to craft an own poll system.

That's what I wrote all the time.

Developer = Players = helpers. ever heard about a proverb or a fact "all are equal" >?

People are not equal.

You are skilled with Thunder, and I am not.

Some players are more excellent at leading a clan; others think only of their own opinion and extrapolate it / project it into/onto others.

It's good that people are different, and it's good to put them into positions that suit their abilities.

..but Tanki new Indicators are really terrible, and the dev's won't change them back just because of their ego.

I also do not like some of the new indicators. I very much like that the big text lines in the top-center of the screen are gone.. but the new indicators could use some touch up regarding their visual logic IMHO.

But.... wrong thread ;)
