Rate of battery usage depends on drone's MU level

There's a world of difference between a drone at base level and fully upgraded. It's arguable that a drone without MUs is practically useless, so it's not worth using it and wasting batteries until you upgrade it at least halfway.

 

So why not make it so that the rate at which your drone uses batteries is proportional to the benefit it gives you? So if the Assault drone gives you 3 seconds of supplies by default and 15 seconds at full MU, the batteries would be spent 5 times slower at default level compared to full MU, i.e. each battery would last 5 minutes and you would need no more than 2 per battle. Driver (10s → 30s) would be 3 times slower, Sprinter (10s → 20s) twice as slow, and so on.

 

The rate at which batteries are spent at full MU would remain the same: one battery per minute and 8 batteries per battle.

It's a good idea but I think 1 battery lasting 5 minutes is too much.

I think 1 battery should last 2 minutes for an stock Drone and 1 minute for a fully MUed drone, and vice versa. That wouldn't upset much what devs had in mind in regard to drones, and it would make it easier to be implemented.

I was thinking the other way around. At M4, Drones should use less batteries, so players are wiling to upgrade them.

Sure - give buyers even more advantage.  That'll help balance...

I think wanting to have a powerful fully MUed Drone is an incentive enough to MU Drones.

That's what many people want. Imagine all buyers have M4 drones... is this fair? Personally, I cannot even use a drone due to its batteries, but I face M4 drones, which is really bad for the balance. With this update, the usage and waste of crystals and money for drones and its batteries would decrease, which is good for the balance.

Devs say they care about balance, but they don't.

They try to do it but we can't actually say they are successful, I still have hopes... At least, they removed our shot colors instead of getting M5s into game, that's a nice point IMO.

I have drones as is, and use them, but I do agree, I don't have full MU on all of them, so the ones that aren't MU'ed, they use a lot of battery.
