Let people choose what they want in the lucky box

When a person gets a lucky box and opens the box when he gets the rare type he should choose what he wants from that kind

When you get a legendary type box, you choose anything that is available, such as one million crystal, or Matrix, or 300,000 crystal

I assume that by "Lucky boxes" you mean containers. Containers are intentionally made to be random, since being able to select the reward would greatly increase their value. And if people can get exactly what they want, they will make less purchases using real money, which is bad for the economy.

What are you referring to?

Tanki needs a balance that you can play somewhat without buying-so you like the game, and want to buy. Then they need you to want more crystals, M2s, etc. so you buy.

I guess the reason it must be so bad is since then players would get whatever feature they want-and that would eliminate any need to buy.

This totally eliminates buying, whereas say giving a bonus-still leaves the buying opened.

But wait a minute, surely if you could choose what you wanted from each category, then more people (including myself) would purchase containers, as I have specific items which I want to obtain from containers like the Moonwalker paint or some Isida shot effects, and so on. If I know exactly what I want, I would be willing to buy some containers to get those items. Because right now, many players are really put off by the “randomness” of containers, and therefore don’t bother buying any, apart from the heavy spenders of course. But with the removal of this randomness, I’m sure many players would be willing to buy a few containers here and there, rather than only the biggest buyers (the minirity) spending loads on containers and the everyday, F2P player buying none, which is how it is now.

But then once you get those items, which should happen quite quickly if you can choose what you get (assuming you get an epic/legendary), you pretty much stop caring about containers altogether which leads to you being less likely to buy container directly or spend on other things which give you containers (like challenges). You have a fair point, but having completely random rewards proves to be more profitable.

This is really true if you have one item that you want-like a specific paint.

But if I'd rather supplies over crystals or vice versa, or if i rather get paints or effects-if it still is more general maybe it would stay balanced.

That's another issue - obviously 1 million crystals is more valuable than some silly XT skin, so if people chose crystals every time, they'd be getting too many crystals for free, which again affects the economy.

So if whenever I get supplies-I can't say I'd rather Double Damage over Speed Boost?

Its not like I would buy (with crystals) to many of them anyway.

That would be too OP if you get crystals from every container.
