FM is not an exploit. IBHI was. Yes, i know that it is bad for you, because you behave like a kid that got a candy but it was taken away. Yes, you shouldn't belive everything that devs say, but in this case, they were right. The maint point of this augment is that you can deal high amount of damage to the opponents, but you also recieve that damage. With IBHI, you could still have the advanatges, but not the disadvanatages of the augment, making it imposibble to balance and unfair. Accept it or not, devs made a right move, and time to forgot that candy.5 points

Topic idea proposed by Adriel.RB Tankers! You may have played this game for years, and the Tanki Online community may have been very important in your life. However, like all good things, your tenure as a player of this game must come to an end at some point. Rather than slipping out quietly, make sure you leave with a bang - that is, a nice, juicy leaving topic on the forum (bonus points if you manage to write multiple of these). As this is clearly the most important part of your TO career (yes, even more important than that time you got the coveted Russia paint), it can be quite a daunting task to start to write one of these potentially incredible forum topics. Well, never fear; I’m here to initiate you into the secrets of writing a good leaving article! Let’s jump right into it with the first portion of your leaving topic: the introduction. ~ ~ ~ Part I: The Introduction While opinions differ on the exact placement, experts agree that your introduction is absolutely among the top three most important portions of your leaving topic. Thus, it is important that you execute this piece flawlessly. The first thing to do when writing the introduction for your leaving topic is to establish precisely who you are. Nobody will care when they see that an unknown tanker is leaving the game, and so whether or not it was truly the case, you have to make your readers think that you were influential. The easiest way to do this is to quickly summarize your Tanki journey, and scatter subtle references to famous events and players, to indicate that you were somehow involved in the events or were instrumental in the tanker’s rise to fame. Implying that you helped with certain Tanki Helper programs is also quite useful, as it makes readers feel indebted to you for your selfless service (which, if it actually happened, was probably not entirely selfless, as you were no doubt amply rewarded with crystals… but we helpers don’t talk about that...). For inspiration, check out the sample introduction below: Part II: The Thank Yous Writing your “thank yous” is certainly tied for the position of the most important part of your leaving topic. This is the section in which your emotional pleading really wrenches the hearts of your readers and makes them feel crushed that you - glorious, magnanimous, brilliant you! - are leaving the game. For the sake of being nice, if there is anyone who has truly played a big part in your Tanki journey, do include them. However, regardless of who they are, never thank someone with a cheesy name, as it makes you seem undignified (so, for instance, no one with a rip-off of a YouTuber’s name, and no Xx[name]xX!). Once you thank the people who really played a role in your experience with TO, make sure to also thank some random helpers or famous players. This makes your readers think that those helpers/players are your buddies, which is another crushing blow to any claims of obscurity that people may throw at you. This is very important - no leaving topic is complete without thanking Kaisdf and Maf for something or other. And now, having thanked specific players for either real or slightly exaggerated reasons, you can move on to thanking the TO community as a whole for all of the various ways in which they have assisted you. All really important players relied on Tanki at one point to help them through a rough time (at least, I get that sense from the many leaving topics here on the forum), and so it is imperative to mention that time in 2013 when you lost your favourite mug and Tanki helped you through the ensuing grief. Try to write at least 300 words in this part; don’t worry, we’ll bear with some hyperbole here for the sake of the emotional aspect of your topic. Once again, if you need some inspiration, check out the spoiler below for a great sample of some good thank yous! Part III: The Conclusion The conclusion is where your topic gets real. Having discussed the past, it’s time for you and your extremely important future. Of course, leaving a video game is really not that amazing, but the goal in your conclusion is to make it seem like a very noble deed. The trick here is to mysteriously and ambiguously refer to difficulties you are experiencing in the real world and indicate that you have moved on from trivial things like games (even though we all know that you will simply post the topic and immediately sign-in on CS:GO). Perhaps you could indicate that you are very busy with school and you need to focus on that; perhaps you can discuss how you need more time for work because you spent all your savings buying 400 ultra containers; you could also discuss how a vine keeps growing over your window every year and you need to focus more on cutting it back. Regardless of the reason, stress the selflessness of the decision to leave this game and focus on more important things. Once you establish that you are an amazing, noble person and that leaving this game is really an incredible thing to do, you have to recap what you said previously - by this time, you should be well over 2,000 words (I apologize, my sample came up a bit short), and it’ll be hard for readers to remember what you wrote at the start. And so, once again, reference your most significant achievement as well as the tanker that helped you the most (similar to before, make this portion as emotional as possible). Feel free to add in a little part here about how deeply you will miss the game, the friends, and everything you have worked towards in the Tankiverse. If your reader isn’t crying at this point, you’ve done something wrong! Finally, to wrap up the topic, finish off with a TO classic: “That’s all for today, tankers - see you all next time!” Because of course, you’ll officially come back to the game in a week or less, and so you’ll get the joy of writing, once more, an entirely new, original leaving topic at some point in the future! You know the drill - see the spoiler below for a good example conclusion! ~ ~ ~ And now, that’s all for today, Tankers; I hope to see some good leaving topics from you all soon! Let me know in the comments below: Which of the many leaving topics that you’ve written and posted is your favourite?4 points

Viking must be nerfed to the ground. The game is infested by these insects, eating the game balance with their od like it never exisited. it has taken over the hole game, no battle is played without that hull. It has no comparison in the game, and there is nothing which could even imagine to counter this od. only another viking can compete with this. I have no idea, why this was even never invented, but here is the fix for it. Reduce the ability damage to 50%. thats a half what booster can do, but booster is balanced, because it has so high cost of using it. viking does not. Also reduce the lenght of od to 3 seconds. Like this, it is comparable to other medium hull strenght. Also, viking should have a warmup time for its od, same kind of a mechanic which hunter and crusader has. This could be maybe a good start.4 points

I have been playing Vulcan + Titan with adrenaline + HI. I notice zero performance drop compare to when I use IB. Yes, you lose that DOT effect, but now you are able to actually shoot something far way. Previously, even I'm able to lead the bullet stream, the auto vertical aim simply don't want to work with me. It was impossible to hit moving target at mid range. Now? Ha, it destroy them.3 points

I have to agree with you all, the Micro-Upgrade change could have been done better for sure. In my opinion, people who had 7/8/9 of 10 MU's should have gotten a certain discount depending on the number of MU's. Also, I have seen people who e.g. have access to Mk5 but their equipment was Mk4 9/10, and they already started the upgrade process but it didn't finish before the update. So it would have made sense to convert the MU's to the next stock Modification, as you technically had paid the crystals but only lacked the time... rip I hope that the developers do a maintenance where they could correct the MU Update. Also there's nothing wrong with giving people the next Modification if they have fully MU'ed their equipment, also mainly because people at mid-ranks have Mk4 or Mk5's and people at Lieutenant Colonel can just buy everything Mk7 for Tankoins and MU to Mk8. So I doubt this would cause a balance issue, given how the situation is at the moment.3 points

I see your point here, however these events every week feel meaningless. What are we actually ‘celebrating’ here? The so-called “Ultra weekends” seem to be nothing but a celebration of P2W content (which is found in UCs). Every time there is an event there is also an XP boost which is terrible for new players and lower ranked accounts. Moreover, the more events there are, the more frequent the discounts (usually 30% off ones), which means that the big discounts occur less often.2 points

How I play the game. Do every Challenge, Daily, Special, Weekly Missions. Get every Star, Container, and Ultra Container offered. Spend Tankoins only on the Gold Pass, or Ultra Containers if you can afford it. Buying Stars, Containers, and Coinboxes are a HUGE SCAM. Don't let the crap rewards discourage you from playing. Like the Ultra Containers I got this week, I got the ugly Prodigy 2.0 Paint (my opinion). I will never use ANY Paint but Lightning Storm. I got hella mad at first as I wasted hundreds of Supplies in that crappy event, but I accepted it later, and moved on. Now, how I battle. I might waste some time, I find it the best way to SAVE a lot of Supplies, and Crystals. Keep switching Daily Missions until they are easy enough for you to complete. Capture Points Mission, go do CP. Capture Flags, just cap some flags in Assault, then leave. (Unless it's Berlin) Inspect the Map. If it is a big map, I almost immediately leave. I will only tolerate CP on big maps, otherwise, PEACE. Inspect the game. Check if the game is balanced, as in your teammates' GS compared to enemy GS. If you get a trash team with them having 5K-7K GS battling 9K-9999 GS. Just leave. Save your time. Check the mode. Imagine CTF in Lost Temple, ASL in Berlin. Do yourself a favor, AND LEAVE. If possible, make some friends and play together for Missions. Having a strong team comp is always better than playing solo with randoms. Hope this helps, if it doesn't, just ignore it.2 points

Yeah, honestly I get disappointed because I haven't get a good rewards, I lost many of my Tankcoins so I decided lastly I will stop buying them but I wont lose my effort I said I wont stop before I get 500 Tankcoins or more. The video was something old, today I bought another Tankcoins box, and I haven't get even 10 Tankcoins all are 1 Tankcoin and supplies.2 points

Personally I like that they have events every weekend now, as long as it has relatively easy missions like we've had recently. The special modes are a change at least from regular gameplay -especially the more balanced ones where everyone has the same equipment or no drones/overdrives etc. But also, more regular events means more Ultas for non-buyers which is good, since the rewards from that help you keep up with the big spenders.2 points

This vulcan nerf is very good, i could not play without using heat immunity with all of those vulcan IB abusers, now i can equip some other immunities.2 points

I have completed this ultra weekend once again. See the spoiler below for my rewards that I have earned during this ultra weekend: I have managed to earn two gold containers in the same 7 batch of ultra containers today. I am so lucky once again. Thank you so much to all the developers for all those dazzlingly amazing rewards.2 points

Myself (as a degenerate buyer) the latest update wont affect me. But what about the other people who have upgraded their equipment to almost maxed? This guy PMd me, with an image of almost upgraded equipment. Now his only choice is to buy next modification level, which he has almost already paid for. I think this update should be only applied to new users. Context: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/797802473451683850/845421931691769876/unknown.png2 points

If by "high cost" you mean extra supplies, I disagree that is balanced. Players with thousands of supplies will gladly pay the price and keep racking up the kills. Making something cost more does not make it balanced.2 points
-
Viking main here. I agree that the OD is unbalanced, and I believe that the devs' solution to this is the new 'Jammer' status effect, although whether I think this is a good idea is another story altogether.2 points

Farcical change to micro updates that just spits in players faces if they weren't able to get the updates done in time - or more likely don't read the forum and didn't know this stupidity was coming. Not even any acknowledgement that this will be costing some players potentially hundreds of thousands of crystals. I am deeply unconvinced there is any HCI benefit from this either. I really thought that this would be done in a way that wouldn't hurt players who were already in a microupgrade path but no - very very poor indeed.2 points
-
That's really great to hear. You just saved yourself at least a few weeks of suffering :D I KNOW Bruh, at the very least, they should've reduced the price of the next modification to compensate. For example, if Smoky Mk2 costs 5000 crystals, and you already upgraded Smoky Mk1 to 9/10, and the last upgrade costs 500 crystals, then they should've reduced the price of the Mk2 Smoky for you by 4500 crystals, which means it'll only cost 500 crystals (the same as you were buying the micro-upgrade) and boom, you're not getting ripped-off.2 points

Welcome! This is a thread where you may discuss about paints, skins and send screenshots of your favorite Tank Combos! The tank combo can have: - Any Skin - Any Paint - Any Turret or Hull - Any Shot Effect You can also add a name or add more info about the combo but it is optional. Enjoy!1 point

Don't worry. Viking was tOtaLlY nOt oP. Without me playing Viking, this team would be 100% dead. Edit: The combo I used was Adrenaline Gauss Mk6, and vanilla Viking Mk3. I don't have EMP Salvo on this account so you can't cry about that.1 point

Stock? Use a Gauss module and it won't seem nearly as bad. Splash could use a nerf though. 90% damage out to 12m is way too much.1 point

They are aware. The Devs even commented that this "issue" happens when there are few players online. Rank-spreads widen to make up for fewer players. Having mis-matches like that is acceptable to lower waiting times. As for this - you have it backward. New players are hosed. 1) Permanent exp boost means newbies are playing veterans long before they are ready 2) Supplies - you have to have a fully upgraded drone to have full value for supplies. How many new players have a fully upgraded drone? 3) Modules. You now have to pay for modules - with TKs. Veteran players only have to pay for 4th module. 4) and as already discussed - the rank-spreads are super wide in MatchMaker. Teams might be even, but the lower-ranked players in those battles will struggle to score and earn crystals.1 point
-
Just realised it is actually going to cost me crystals if I play on several accounts. I'm close to going up a level and if I do, lots of modules will lose me thousands of crystals. So why would I play them? Might as well just park them an open containers on them for weeks/months till they aren't going to get screwed by this update. Who realistically is going to do that? It basically means those accounts are dead to me now so a few more reasons not to play. So silly.1 point

Gonna be a bit off-topic here, but it would be nice if the Autocannon alteration came with a custom skin for smoky that gave it multiple barrels to explain the fast firing speed.1 point

Smoky auto canon and striker missile hunter augments are beast with auto shooting, i advice you to try them out, i rate them 20/20, especially missile hunter striker, its a beast i did alot of 40 kills out of 70 in tdm, thats insane, and no one is using striker protection since it got nerfed they think its a noob weapon while its the best augment in the game, i have played hours with all augment and never got such performance with these two.1 point

This is so true, I reallllly hate when they do this. I don't know how long Heat Immunity has been in the game for, a year and a half maybe? 2 years? At least a year, and players have been screaming for this to be nerfed ever since its introduction - it should have been nerfed within the first 2 weeks. But because of HI/IB they have sold so many more Heat Immunity augments, it is quite obvious they have intentionally allowed it to be like this. I believe there was a Q&A session in which the developers stated that using Vulcan with Heat Immunity was "the ideal way to play Vulcan", and that was months or over a year ago - so they have been FULLY aware of this issue and done nothing about it, so whether it was a bug or not, leaving it this way was very intentional. At least be HONEST and admit that they have now DECIDED to nerf it, rather than making the ludicrous claim that this is a bug fix, lol. Still - nerf is a nerf, and this has been needed for a long time, the game will be better for it.1 point

Oh, my profuse apologies my good fellow. Indeed since you're saying you'd make it a certain way I can fathom that it would be of unimaginably good taste and quality.1 point

Well, now that you can't use IB HI try adrenaline. You have nothing left to lose as goes Vulcan anyway. If you think adrenaline is weak you have either not used it to its fullest potential or you tried it for a very limited period of time. IB HI has absolutely nothing on adrenaline HI. Hovering hulls, specifically Crusader, are by far much better for Vulcan. I've used VUlcan with both tracked hulls and hovering ones, and it's not even a contest. Vulcan on a hovering hull blows Vulcan on a tracked hull out of the water. I've literally managed to circle strafe enemies with vulcan, which if I used a regular hull would be a massive pain to do because of the slower turning speed. I've put in quite a few hours with Vulcan, and Crusader with Vulcan is easily the best combination for overall combat ability.1 point
-
Agree, given you have to brun yourself to hell in order to make use of it, and that -50% projectile speed? Unless you have a pocket healer, it is not worth it at all. That's why I said we need to buff IB a bit after that OP combo is gone.1 point
-
@Tanker-Arthur Allow me to illustrate how an experienced Vulcan player supposed to perform. This is literally my first game today. The combo is Vulcan + Titan, Adrenaline and HI. I'm not camping. I act as a flag defender the entire game. We lost, obviously, because The opposing team has more players (nice work on MM Devs) The average GS of our team is noticeably lower. But look at my score, it is the sum of that of the rest of my team combined. This is the definition of GOOD. What you showed in the images trying to justify IB is fine is nothing but a joke. Beaten by a guy with 6k GS and you think it is a good evidence? Come on.... It doesn't matter what combo that guy have, beaten by a guy who is supposed to be 30 - 40% weaker than you is embarrassing enough.1 point

Useful Information you guys will need to know about the New Incendiary Band Alteration: Assuming you are the one using Incendiary Band in battles, there are four points of information that you'll need to know: If your ammo bar is not empty and a Firebird or other Heat Source (Dragon Breath Hammer, Incendiary Rounds Smoky and Railgun, other Incendiary band Vulcans, Wasp's Bomb and Hopper's Overdrive) inflicts afterburn on you, your Vulcan will inflict the Incendiary Band's afterburn onto enemies, even if you are not overheating from self damage and running out of ammo. If the burning effect on yourself wears off while you are still firing the Vulcan, and you do not stop firing and you continue shooting, no matter what, your shots will always inflict afterburn, even if you have stopped burning. If you stop firing and you are no longer being burned, your ammunition will be reset and when you shoot again, your shots will not inflict afterburn. However, there is an exception to this effect, which I will describe in point number 3. Freeze, whether it be an ally or enemy, will disable your afterburn effect when it fires onto you and removes the burning from your tank. The same applies for Repair Kits and other sources of anti-burning. Going back up to point number 2. If you are being frozen by an ally or enemy. Even if you continue to fire your Vulcan, your afterburn ability will still be removed and you can no longer inflict the effect on enemies. Meaning, the freezing effect will auto-disable your burning once you reach normal temperature. You don't even need to stop shooting to disable the afterburn by yourself. The burning effect that you inflict with your Vulcan will always have the same heating rate and the same maximum duration of ten seconds, no matter how hot your tank is burning at the time your afterburn is triggered.1 point

@Tidebreaker I really want that paint. I wish I could stop the colors on Spectrum cycling and freeze it on hot pink. But I got Lightning Storm for one of my accounts today, so I can pretend to be the God of Thunder ("pretend" being the significant word there because that combo is only Mk1)1 point

I have not played this game the longest nor do I claim to have the most experience. I cannot say that I love it nor can I say that I hate it. I have not spent a single dime in Tanki Online yet there is one thing I cannot deny. Tanki Online has taken a large part of the memories in my life, making me unable to forget this enjoyable but at the same time frustrating game. I was approximately 12-13 years old when I discovered this hidden gem on the internet. My family had just gotten a 2mb/s Wireless Internet Connection. During those first years of having that internet connection, we went through one of the greatest Eras of all in casual internet gaming, the Flash Shockwave era. My brothers and I played a wide variety of games from action packed racing to a casual game of Solitaire. However, none of those games stuck. Then there was the Facebook game era where Adobe Flash was still popular but Unity was beginning to get in the mix. I remember spending hours on Wild ones and Farmville. Then there was the Tanki era which lasted for on and off three years. Mind you in between these major eras, there were some minor ones like IMVU and Second Life also a second thing to note is games like League of Legends, WoW and DOTA that were unavailable to me due to bad ISP, location in relation to servers and a slow and laggy computer. I have actually played LOL in January 2018 for the first time. This was one of the major reasons for me to start playing Tanki; it didn't require too much to play and even though the servers were in Eastern Europe, I could get a manageable ping of 120. When I first started playing Tanki Online, it was the best online multiplayer game to me as I couldn't experience all the others. Also, bear with me guys. I am not too familiar with and I have not been too active on Tanki Online forum these few years, so someone may have posted something similar to this. I believe I started playing Tanki when Shaft was released, or when map Moon Silence appeared. I created my first account which reached Master Sergeant but I stopped playing on that account and created this account ArgusNoyan. I remember buying my first M1 which was obviously Firebird and then after I got M1 Smoky. I vividly remember when Thunder/Twins/Mammoth combos with Isida was a sure way to win a match of Moon Silence as Thunder's splash damage was overpowered. I remember trying to join a clan at WO1 but I couldn't play in any XP/BP due to not having M1s. I remember only getting M1 Wasp at WO1 and M1 Hornet and WO5. I admit I was not a very smart tanker. I would spend my crystals on M1s as soon as I got the them instead of waiting for sales. I only found out about sales after a clanmate noticed that I was lagging behind in equipment. My first M2 was hornet and then Raigun. I only started to be involved in XP/BP when I first got M3 Hornet which is where I am at currently. Now, you guys might be asking why is this "noob" tanker who doesn't have an account at generalissimo yet, doesn't know what mult means, and is only average at XP/BP talking about a game that has about 7-8 years. I know I am old, I had my heyday, my younger spring chicken days are no longer with me but I ask this; Is the current Tanki Online the best version? Was there a period of time before that this game could have been considered at its best?1 point
