Now players respawn at their bases rather than at captured points. The only exception is Madness. Due to its size, we have kept respawns near the upper points. Besides, CP is now available on all maps that support CTF. Although the Fort Knox map is very popular, its geometry is pretty complex and may be troublesome to newbies. So for initial ranks, it has been replaced with simpler arenas: Sandal and Cross. Fort Knox is now available starting from the Corporal rank. From now on, chats will become available from the 3rd rank (Gefreiter). Nothing will disturb newcomers from concentrating on the game and understanding basic tactics. This is also our first measure in dealing with users who create alternative accounts to be able to break the rules without being disciplined on their main account. We have also changed the way the battle fund is split between team members. Each player will now receive a percentage of the battle fund, equal to the percentage of points he has contributed to his team’s battle score. Update 169 lets you keep your friends even closer than before! Until this day, it was difficult to maintain friendly relations on the battlefield. We’ve come up with the Friends System in Tanki Online to let you keep in touch with your brothers in arms all the time. On the upper bar you can see the Friends button. By clicking on it you open a menu that stores the names of all your friends as well as all the incoming and sent requests. Please note that a player gets added to your friends list only after he or she confirms your request. Another important addition is a player’s context menu that can be opened by left-clicking on a player’s nickname wherever you see it. You can use the same menu to send and accept friend requests. You will also find additional functions in the chat that allow you to copy a player’s nickname as well as send him or her a message. Experienced players can use "Ctrl + left click" combination to send a message to a specific player without using the context menu. An indicator appears on "Friends" button when you receive a new incoming request or other player accepts yours to make sure you don’t miss anything important. Friends system supports search. It allows you to send a request to a player whose name can’t be found in the chat or interface. To use search, open Friends menu and click on Sent Requests tab. Enter the player’s nickname, make sure that it was found in the data base and click on "Send" to create a new request. Friends and Accepted Requests tabs also support search but it works only in the corresponding lists. Use it to quickly find a friend or a request. If a player has already been added to your Friends List, his or her nickname will be highlighted in the battle statistics table, battle info and in the chat. If your friend is in a battle, you will see a link to it in your Friends menu. Battles with your friends in them are always in the top of the list and show the number of friends in them. Currently nickname of your friend over his or her tank in the battle itself is not highlighted. You don’t need a confirmation to delete someone from your friends list. If you decide to remove a friend, then you will be automatically removed from his or her list as well. Keep that in mind. That’s it. Today the team of developers would like to present the system of micro-upgrades in Tanki Online to you for the first time. Just follow the link to the test server and register a new account. You will automatically get crystals for testing. For testing purposes you will earn new ranks 10 times faster on this server. Currently new modifications of turrets and hulls become available very rarely. Sometimes you have to wait for several months to get the next M of your favorite weapon. We decided that you should be able to improve the parameters of items in your Garage more often. That’s why we came up with the system of micro-upgrades. Now each item in Garage has a new button next to it called Upgrade. It opens a menu with all the parameters that you can improve. Just choose the parameter and click on Start next to it to begin upgrading. The price of one try for each next step increases. However, we tried to make first steps of micro-upgrades affordable for everyone. Upgrades take time. While your item is being micro-upgraded you can’t use it in battles. Each parameter can be improved almost to the level of the next modification. The only exception is M3 hulls and turrets that can be upgraded to the level of theoretical M4. You will also be able to upgrade protections of paints. There is a limit for them: each protection can’t exceed 50%, while the sum of all the resists can’t be higher than 200%. This will prevent the creation of paints that can make a tank invincible. A fully upgraded parameter becomes "gold" and gives you a discount for the next modification. The overall discount for all the parameters can’t exceed 75%. As it was previously said in videos on micro-upgrades, attempts to upgrade an item may be both successful and unsuccessful. The chance of upgrading an item on first stages is a lot higher than on the last ones. In case of unsuccessful micro-upgrade you can get back a half of crystals you spent on this attempt or some supplies. Let’s not forget that there is a chance of getting a double upgrade for the price of one. Upgraded parameters don’t change the looks of your tank. If you want to take part in a battle without micro-upgrades, just create a no-supplies battle and switch on the option called Without Upgrades. By popular demand we’ve corrected the situation with tankers who disturb other players. Now gold boxes appear at any point where usual crystal boxes do as well as at old drop zones (previously there were only from 1 to 3 drop zones). Gold boxes are dropped as often as they did before the update. About a minute before gold box appears you will see a notification on your screen. In update 138 we bring you the ability to kick a player from a team by voting. Any skilled tankman faced a problem of sabotage in team battles. Players who spend hours not moving, collecting crystals and preventing others from bringing the flag home — we've all seen that. And it is not only about sabotage. Rule breaker can just use foul language in chat, so we've decided that a team should be able to kick the offender from a battle using general vote. We've analyzed all the fears and developed a mechanism that minimizes the possibility of kicking the innocent and will be useful for fair players. At first, these features will be adjusted, so the battles in which the vote took place will be just highlighted for moderators. Now a bit more about the function itself. First of all, you can't be kicked from battle if you are in the first place. It is most likely that the automatic team kick will not be used in battles for small number of players. It will be done by moderators. "/vote violator's nickname" command will be automatically switched off in battles, where the vote is used for this purpose. The vote interface can be found in the battle statistics table which is displayed when you press Tab. In "Kick" column you can see the following indicators: white color means that you can start or support a vote against the player, the number displayed next to the indicator shows the progress of the voting. You can start voting against the player if he or she is below you in the battle statistics table, otherwise you can only support the voting commenced by other players. It is important to remember that a player can't be kicked from a battle, if he or she has recently entered it or has spent a considerable amount of time in it. If someone on your team has already started voting, you can join it, but only after all the players who are above you in the battle statistics. Once they make a decision, you get the right to vote as well. Voting doesn't last forever, so everyone should make a decision before the time runs out. You can loose the ability to take part in voting if you were often kicked from battles by your team or if you are banned in chat at the time of voting. You can begin voting against a player if: - This player is below you in the battle statistics table - This player has been in the battle for some time but not for too long (this is set by developers) - You have entered the battle before this player - You are not disconnected from the chat for violations of the rules of the game If someone on your team has already begun the voting, you can join them but only when all the players who are higher than you in the battle statistics has also voted. You have more chances to begin and support the voting if you have never been kicked from battles with team kick.
