Everyone keeps their rank [example: warrant officer will stay warrant officer and wont become a recruit], they get paid back in crystals for everything they bought (drugs will remain the same and will not yield crystals). Each rank earns a crystal reward, so those in higher ranks will immediately get the total rewards from all the ranks they made in the past. The red ruby is to signify that you bought that 'crystal', while white crystals are those you pick up in the game or earn while fighting. Those white crystals will increase your score in the highscore list, but rubies will not increase your score [so that people cannot use money to become 1st place in the rankings]. The high score list with kill/death ratios and etc will be reset, so everyone gets to start off at the same time to compete for the top [if they even care about where they are on the rankings]. (so as you play Tanki 1.0 there is zero need to worry about your kill death ratio if that is something you plan to worry about in 2.0) If any developers see that I'm wrong somewhere feel free to correct me -
Surely you can earn 150 crystals in two-three days? Its not like the sale is only going to last an hour... [edit] Oh.. I missed the joking wink

Happy New Year Tanki Online team! I wish you all the best of luck for making 2012 a smashing year for Tanki!

Relax. You keep all your rank, and you get all your crystal spent on weapons and tanks back. Setting a date for the 2.0 release is pointless. They know, they tried. It was supposed to be January 2011, then it was firmly set as June 2011. They tried to launch in June... but too many bugs sank it and 1.0 kept on going. I don't blame them for not wanting to set a date again.... leaving us with the immortal words from many software developers out there.... "It will be ready when it is ready."

Allow me to put myself down as being very respectful of buyers like you. In fact, I'm shocked you're actually being treated that way? Maybe by someone really young is the only way I can figure this. Tanki is running on the F2P [Free To Play] model. The people working on Tanki need to get paid. If they don't get paid, there is no point in their working on Tanki anymore. If they do not work on Tanki anymore, Tanki ends and no one gets to play this game anymore. How is that good? People like you that buy stuff ensure that those working on this game get paid. You keep this game alive! So, Chaos12, thank you!

Right, if you are confident in your skills at handling the Hornet and rotating the turret at the same time, you'll "run circles around" the frozen competition. :) If you'd rather charge into battle like a tank character [soaking up hits] and not worrying about maneuvering, then take the viking.

Make it so that if you were not playing for most of the game, you cannot pick up the 100 gold box. You want it? PLAY THE WHOLE GAME. Don't ruin maps by crowding drop zones and leaving once its gone...

It's not the destination... It's the journey. Just watch how others earn the most crystals, and learn how to do the same yourself. Tip: Healing others gets you 1.5x score --- attacking only gets you 1.0. So, if you are the best medic on the battlefield-- you have a strong chance of having the highest score and getting the crystals you need to upgrade the Isida. Good luck!

All excellent responses in this thread... One advantage a hornet railgun taught me last night-- they can fit into spaces other tanks cannot. For example, the blue side on Silence, on the top of the map. Whenever I'd try and take him out, he'd slip into the space between the house and the wall. Put me in quite a quandary because either I waste time trying to take him out [and buying time for his team to respawn and retake control] or ignore him and go for another target, knowing full well he's just gonna pop out and zing me with the railgun. I had an Isida though-- a ricochet player would not have the same problem I did. Hornet may cost more than Dictator... but if you plan to play TankiOnline for a long time and don't want to buy multiple tanks yet, I think the Hornet has more long-term value.

Dictator? Zero flipability? I'm on Silence and this Dictator keeps trying to go up the large ramp from the Red side, and this railgun sends the poor Dictator flying and landing upside down. "Aha," I said. "The tallness of that tank must make it top heavy, which is why I shouldn't want it." At least with the Hornet you can get the timing right to strike at just the right moment when their guard is down, getting in and out as fast as possible.

Gold boxes should only be pickable by those who have been in the game for at least 80% of its duration. It is important to keep that incentive to stay in and play in the game and to discourage the drive-by looters.

[For anyone who hasn't read this entire thread and just came in] The most awesome news about Tanki 2.0? That it will indeed use the new Flash feature of using your GRAPHICS CARD to accelerate the game! Now your CPU won't have to struggle so much in running the entire game by itself! Those struggling with low framerates should see a boost. There is mention of being able to adjust the graphical settings so that if things are still slow you can dial it down a bit. It sure would be nice to see Tanki 2.0 by the end of this year... (I can always dream). -
You mean they haven't answered fast enough? Just be patient. If you did register with a correct email address, they should be able to have a password change request sent to your email address.

If you think this through... Wouldn't everyone buy it if it made the final price cheaper? This would defeat the purpose of 2x. I imagine that the point of 2x daily bonus is to encourage people to log in at least once daily. Logging in at least once daily = less chance people stay away from tanki forever. Just hold onto your money, have some patience, keep playing, and buy when the day comes.

Hi, The Island map requires that everyone on it be playing for it to be a fair fight. 3v2 or 3v1 becomes a very unfair fight... Unfortunately I keep noticing a BUG where people are stuck in the game. Their name is in the list but they do not appear or play at all. Their score is 0. They seem to have disconnected but the server does not recognize it. Sometimes they are there for HOURS... the server should be auto-kicking them after a period of time but it isn't. The auto-kick must be on for those who 'load too slowly' instead of waiting forever for them to join. I hope you can figure out what is going on and put in a solution. Thanks!
