Could we dump the Rank restrictions right away?
First of all: I loved it as an relative newbee to fight against an Admiral;
Second: As an relative newbee (and now an first leutnant) I would like to make my own choice of which match I want to enter;
Third: the restrictions resolve into an lower "highscore" for the contenders during an entire game. Now its impossible for me to use my freebees to thier limits. Fore instance when I'm battling an Admiral with my M3 viking + M3 thunder, and I use armour and extra penetration I will be able to kill even an Admiral within an few good shots;
Fourth: if an newbee enters an highgrade match the higher ranked contenders normaly leave them alone. Most of thier guns hardly scratsch our paint!!! And sometimes they are lucky and get an high score kill (I loved that when I was an newbee!!).
Fifth: in an normal war all the ranks are on the same battleground, and not seperated by an "ranking fence". Most snipers are korprals or sergants, but they shoot Generals and Admirals ::::)))))
So to be short: this restriction takes the fun out of the game.
