Well i remember the days when shaft had no laser pointer. I thought it was the best thing ever in the game. Sure many people rage quit about not really knowing where the shaft enemy is. Back then in battles i could change the tide of the battle just with shaft. I was an excellent sniper (the gun still had the wobble in it and it was skill to use it). Now since the shaft has a laser scope that gives away your position i fell the gun is no longer fulfilling its role as a sniper weapon. I still use shaft but the old version was much better. Personally if it re-balance again to do more damage and still have the laser pointer that would be nice. Also! Tanki... I love how Micro Upgrades system works. I plan on using shaft a lot more when i get my 3 star rank. then i can micro upgrade my shaft then it will really be deadly. LONG LIVE SHAFT!

Many real life tanks have secondary weapons. I am suggesting an idea like a turret that is comparable to the Russian BMP and the American M2 Bradley IFVs. It would be a two in one turret. A Smokey like primary gun and a secondary rocket launcher. The Mechanics of this turret would be a Smokey like gun (without the critical hit or push effect) that when fired constantly, will launch an unguided missile at the target every few seconds (rockets will not be instant damage like all guns in Tanki). The missile pod will move in unison with the main gun. I am also suggesting the name GREASE for the turret name. Its an acronym for Gun Rocket System (GRS) For the looks of the turret I am suggesting something like a Smokey looking turret (with a longer barrel) with a dual missile pod (only fires on rocket at a time though) attached to the left or right of the turret.

M4 Mammoth, M4 Viking, M4 Shaft, M4 Vulcan, M4 Firebird. Any paint good for railgun and/or thunder defense.

Well in real life tanks generally have a heavier armor on the front section of the tank. So they go in reverse so they are less vulnerable. And in the game here its too much time sometimes in battle to turn your entire hull around to fall back.

Wasp/Hornet with Smoky Guide (For new players)
Vlad-The-Impaler replied to Vlad-The-Impaler in Wasp/Hornet with Smoky Guide (For new players) Archive
This guide will make help make the best of the lower rank and lower cost tanks and weapons. this goes with wasp or hornet with smoky Vs. Firebird = keep backing up and shooting and stay away from the flame Vs. Twins = twins are medium range, at longer ranges there ineffective, so keep out of range and fire Vs. Railgun = try not to be seen by this enemy and once again keep shooting, when he charges to fire go for cover then come back out while rechrages Vs. Isida = keep backing up, and get a faster tank and keep firing, most isida users goo with hornet so get a better hornet or wasp Vs. Thunder = thunder is basically a better smoky. smokys turret turns faster so use this advantage. if you must ram into the enemy with thunder so that his close range shot damages himself Vs. Freeze = stay away from this enemy at all costs. youll be frozen and cant backup so stay out of range of this and work with a friend to take out the freeze Vs. Rico = I believe rico has less effectiveness at longer ranges... but its like smoky but with faster fire and more damage . only superior tactics will defeat this enemy. Vs. Shaft = keep firing at the shaft guy so that he messes up his shot due to push effect and dont take him head on, run parallel to the gun so that he cant scope you fast enough Vs. hornet = get a better hornet Vs. viking = once again good tactics is best in this case with the circling method and outrunning. viking is a fast tank but a high level hornet is a bit faster, make sure yo use cover spots too Vs. Mammoth = try to outrun this enemy or go in circles around this enemy and if you can take him or her two on one, if your lucky your shot might take him down and gives you big points PS. please dont remove this guide for we need to teach the newer, or more easygoing, or less wealthy players the game better to keep the game alive =) -
id love to play on night maps. thatd make us snipers even more deadly XD maybe a thermal scope for shaft on the night maps?
-
also just saying. double power on m3 railgun will take out the majority of mammoths in one hit
-
its most effective on a hornet shafter. viking shafter not so much... mammoth... dont bother. for the viking and mammoth use railgun and hornet. just run for cover when your recharging ;)

How to make a guy with shaft mad
Vlad-The-Impaler replied to Vlad-The-Impaler in How to make a guy with shaft mad Archive
get hornet, at least m2 and put m3 smoky on it. then when you see a viking or hornet shafter rush them and keep shooting at them while you do it. smoky has push effect and makes them mess up there aim. then get in close and go in cricles around them. and try to push there tank as you fire and bump into them (makes the big gun lift over your tank so they cant hit you). Did this on the stadium map against an m2 hornet/m2 shaft and it made the guy mad when i took him out a few times. he wasnt the best scope guy cuz he couldnt hit me when i zigzagged across the field. and i didnt use any drugs =)   for best effect dont run at near the front of the gun. go at an angle towards his flanks while hes scoping to try to paste you. if you go at a certain angle they cant turn the big gun fast enough in scope to hit you. sure you could do this with isida if you want to rush the enemy area with a close quarter weapon but isida doesnt have the push effect obviously but it does heal you if you take a hit. (twins, thunder, rico also have pus effect and fire fast enough, but remember good ol smoky is the most subtle of all of the push effect guns)(and a good camoflague for the specific map may help) And heres a helpful hint if the shaft guy is in hiding behind cover... if the barrel is sticking out you can still hit it and damage the enemy tank. -
rico is pretty much perfect but the rocking affect is a little too much

i wasnt on this game when old shaft was here. but im WO4 and i have shaft m0. and it works really nice. so im going for m1 and beyond when i can
