You can't microupgrade it to 50%. max to half more of original protection, so 7,5 % in your case. And 50% block one shoot on two.

I would get cedar since as i'm hornet, as soon as a freeze or isida catch me i am dzad, it save me only a second, but cedar save me one or two thunder shoot which is useful as i'm using thunder and rail
