ok downloaded it ( now have 5 stand alones) .....and guess wt ? nothing happened :/ same old white screen which gives me headache

HI , im having an serious (for me) problem with stand alone flash player , whenever i open it and insert the link in the pasting area nothing happens and the screen stays white ,,. ive tried using differrent versions and also different links but nothing helps ....plz help me find a solution .
