The possibility of becoming a tester tends toward zero.

Weapon is not gonna be damaged in any way. You just may loose all your risky upgrades for this weapon. There gonna by several levels of risky upgrades for an M3 device. Each successive upgrade is more risky, than the previous one. And AFAIK this idea is still under consideration.

All guns and bodies will be rebalanced in TO2.0. That doesn't mean "nerfing" - the idea of total rebalance is to make all hardware playable on high ranks.
