For me, I would prefer Firebird. With the recent update, repair kit is useless against Firebird. Besides that, its M2 alteration deals a LOT of damage that goes to 400 dps — even more than that. The downside is, you should expect your opponents to always have fire protection. Otherwise, it's a good choice.

But, think of it this way, here's an example: the new non-PRO battles are the matchmaking system while the new PRO battles (without the PRO pass) will be in the list and this includes format battles, battles created by players, etc. Sales are unknown. It's better to wait for it than ask again and again as you'll get the same answer.

XP/BP will not be in the matchmaking. Simply because all battles in the matchmaking are non-PRO battles meaning there will be no format battles there. All format battles will be on the list, not the matchmaking.
