Don't use glass cubes, they're useless
-
lol meet my plated healing brick I spent a whole afternoon building this bot, it's heavily triforced so the shots only peels off the armor instead of going right through.

I think the reason why robocraft is a better game than tanki is that after all the grinding it's not just a dead end, there's still an endless amount of designs to explore as opposed to just driving around and shooting... And about your plasma bomber... It doesn't look like it's very well designed, looks like you just stuffed a bunch of shields in the tail lol. If I were you I'd cover up the wings too, I personally use rudders instead of aerofoils because it's easier to cover up. Also I noticed your pilot seat is exposed, even though your seat is at the top I would cover it up because when you're banking it's very easy to get 1 shotted by a stray smg rail or plasma. Here's my bomber, quite proud of it actually.

Check out my plasma bomber lol The devs of robocraft made it clear that a player can unlock all the cubes and features without paying a cent. There are certain cubes you can only buy with $$$ but they are only cosmetic items. The pre built bots are not triforced so the damage penetrates right through the armor, instead of peeling the armor off layer by layer.

I made a vastly improved 747 lately. Ah looks much better with an unbiased renderer... This pic is actually taken in game

Just get the mails yourself, lol.

Why would you pick a "dream tank" that's essentially bits of information stored in tanki's server people... think think think Plus if you really want crystals, you can do this and even have a quite bit of cash left over I would seriously facepalm so hard if the winner chose the tank...

The idea isn't bad, however it is badly executed and presented.

What 70% sale? Did I miss something?

Reasons why Tanki got worse (not as a game, but because of the bad updates devs put in)
Notchfan replied to r_Zesx0 in Archive
Those reasons are only part of the answer to why tanki is much less enjoyable than it was before. In my opinion the fundamental problem with tanki lies within the game itself. Tanki has a very linear game progression, after getting M3s and upgrades there really isn't much left to do, it's a dead end apart from the occasional updates. To be honest, tanki really does suck as a game in its current state. I, too have became weary of the lackluster gameplay of tanki. So I decided to try something else, and recently I found a very interesting game called robocraft. Robocraft is in a sense very similar to tanki and world of tanks, but you get to design and build your own vehicles. Not saying we should be able to design our own tanks, but there's definitely some elements in robocraft that tanki could learn from. -

Correction: Most of the people who didn't win.

The winning entries in the Russian forum beats the pants off of just about every single one of our entries... http://ru.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=500193

Has anybody noticed this?
-
Just curious, what do you think about my entry?
-
Keep in mind the judges can only see the final result of your work, they have no way of knowing the amount of time you spent on it.
-
It is not that bad, I'd say it's about average. But in order to win a prize you need more than an average entry.
-
The shading as well as the shaping could've been better, but otherwise it's okay.
-
I don't have much to complain, because I was one of the lucky fews who have already won a ton of crystals in the past and even managed to get a physical prize. But I genuinely feel sorry for these contestants who demonstrated outstanding effort and quality in their entries, even more so than the winning entries, yet they didn't even get a consolation prize: Also, I don't understand how did these people win: Here's my entry in case you're interested:
-
In my opinion, you should've gotten at least a consolation prize.

The common misconception is, making artworks on computers takes less time and effort than hand drawn artworks. But actually it takes just about the same amount of effort and time to achieve the same quality as a good hand drawn artwork. This is especially true for 3d artworks, which can take hours to render.
-
Thought so. Did you use any plugins or renderers though, for the lighting?
-
Whoa, how did you overlay the paints on the textures? Also where did you find the files for the map and the boxes?
-
Really? All the modeling and texturing, all by yourself? And what program did you use? Blender?

Gonna show you guys how I made my postcard:
