OK, I can understand, that TO can't eliminate cheaters but at least I want my reward ... :evil:

I wanted to try Ric M3 ... so on test server I was alone in sandbox CTF One guy joined with M3 Viking + Freeze, loaded all drugs and started to carry flags, killing me when passing by :roll: ... No comments :lol:

One more argument against the new style: IMHO long range weapons (railgun, thunder) are almost useless on the new map.

Hi everybody, I was looking for a guide to the Dictator and found this. Nice job. There as been a lot of undeserved criticism too, but everybody has hes own truth. I too may have doubts on some points, but I also disagree with the advice to upgrade weapon first. Is Viking better that Dictator?: Yes, it is. On another account I had both Viking M2 and Dictator M2 and I did compare these two -- since Viking was a lot more easier to drive I decided to sweat and to upgrade Viking to M3 -- I reached it being Major and it is really very good tank for everything. And that's all ... in team-play it alone won't do miracles either :) The fact is: Dictator costs 7150 crystals, while Viking costs 24000 crystals (ca $162) ... :!: The fact is, Dictator is available to WO1. If you cant afford paying $162 you have to collect 16850 crystals more, which by my experience means at least 168500 exp. points and ca 168 hours of playing. Is Dictator bad tank or out of the competition? No, it is not. Dictator M3 is quite adequate tank and I've taken a lot of beating from players with it while driving Viking M3 myself. And with hornet M2 I get shot all the time too -- I don't feel any advantage of being small. Since I still missed the Dic I created this account and bought Dictator M3 being WO1 :D Do you think I'm a whipping boy -- no way. Bottom line: Viking is a bit better than Dictator but a lot more expensive. With Dictator you can have advantage over opponents earlier so you can collect for Viking or premium guns (example: M3 upgrade for Freeze costs 15000, so the choice is M3 Dictator+M3 freeze or M3 Viking+M2 Freeze) At the end the human factor is what matters ... on one day I get beaten by railguns, on another day I get beaten by thunders, on another day I'm lucky and beat up others ... :) PS! And there is at least ONE THING Dictator can do and Viking can't -- in silence if you play on blue side and Viking/Mammoth druggers with freeze are coming up you can ram them so they will turn over and will be hissing helplessly laying on their sides/backs as beatles :D

Yes they are. Most new flag hackers when they start out do this very action. You will immediately take out a large portion of new hackers that will be riffed that they spent money on something that is being clamped down on. Of course they will refer to their hacker forums to see how to beat it, but if you keep creating more layers and more layers the complexity eliminates the kids looking for a quick gain. Automated security is about layers of checks and balances, and this is layer #1. Layer #2 would be speed of movement. If you hop from one coordinate to another without meeting any of the coordinate points in between, auto-boot. Layer #3 is allowable limits of crystal gains and XP gains. I agree, that you disable most of wannabe hackers this way. Statistically it looks good :) But for me as for a player, even one hacker is too much :) The smarter the worse, because it would require more resources and time to create a report on them -- to capture the video instead of few screenshots. In real life you will not use a medicine that cures the disease only by half, since the disease will develop a resistance against medicines. I'm not against layer #1 measures, but for clients (players) the layer #2 is needed ASAP. I don't know how dense the coordinate grid should be or how the movements should be checked. If you know it just implement the control system. Please ...

It would work if you could identify computers or people using it. Besides. At first I made 3 accounts which passwords didn't work next day. So went on with the forth one. And now I have also few more accounts on lower level, which I use when nostalgia gets me. Plus my kids have also few accounts. And we all use the same computer :)

you are very short sighted if you think this wont have an impact on the hackers. it does not make the mods job easier, 3.5k hackers removed already: how many mods would it take to achieve this (one days removal)? Just as I said. 3.5k hackers removed, 9 million to go :D And I appreciate the evaluation you gave me :-) This is good to know, and yes, thats the most logical solution at the moment. But it doesn't help at all. Because it has a WRONG ASSUMPTION that cheaters doesn't want to loose their accounts. Lets see it from practical side: Situation: Player X wants to get a fund of several thousand crystals, He's first in he's team, but he's team looses. So he brings in a cheater who grabs the flags and leaves the game (in ruins). After the game Mister X creates a new account for cheating and using some automated tools bumps it to sergeant level -- it will take ca 15 minutes in total. Results: 1. Player X wins the game, takes the fund and has spent extra 15 minutes to secure the win. 2. One cheaters account will be closed next day. 3. A new cheaters account is ready for next game. 4. All other players are left FRUSTRATED and thinking "do I really want to play a game like this?" WHY WOULD PLAYER X GIVE UP DOING THAT?

Why do I have to enter captcha EVERY TIME I try to log in. The procedure is as follows: 1. I enter username and password and press "Play" 2. The captcha fields appear 3. I type in catcha and NB! I do not change username neither password 4. I do press "play" again and after that I get in. Is it really necessary to ask captcha every time since it is really ANNOYING.
