good job man, but u have done nearly the same problem ur blur can be noticed where it started just a bit farther that that shaded corners u did not used feather at all, coloring is cool, but is sounds like colour is dying a bit I think, others is cool just my opinion and good luck

an easy way to do so just make the shape with the Circle selection tool then go to select modify feather and change it to a big number something like 50 or 100 (it depend on ur image size, then just make the blur. (make a mask and blur the other- or just inverse the selection from Select then go to blur directly) try that there are many ways but this one is easy I think also do not make it so bright colours like this I think gl
