Guys, the dynamic lighting code is fake: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1233&hl=200 you see, that code is not there.

Update 208 — Micro-upgrades and crystals for ranks!
r_Muffin_Man0 replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
And I'm not usually this adamant, but the not being able to use something while it is upgrading is idiotic. There is no good reason for that feature and it should be removed. At the very least the fact that it will be unavailable should be checked via a confirmation box. -

I agree on needing confirmation box before actually paying for anything...to prone to accidental crystal loss as it is. This applies especially to the "speed up", which is the same button location as the upgrade button making it very easy to click it accidentally. On top of that, once you start upgrading something, there is no way to get back to the MU upgrade window to check it out (and your instinct is to press that button, but it will cost thousands of crystals with no confirmation box). -

There doesn't seem to be a discussion thread yet, so I thought I'd start one. Go at it.... -
[Issue 18] [Guide] Mastering your Tanki Keyboard
r_Muffin_Man0 replied to hogree in Newspaper Archive
Just to throw in another dimension to this topic: Some of us are playing with keyboards that have rollover problems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollover_(key)), which can make it impossible to press more than 2 keys at a time and have them work correctly. Sometimes this means not being able to drive while steering at the same time as turning the turret or firing. It really causes you to handle the game quite differently. For example, this makes the "c" key very useful as a way to recenter my turret, while being able to drive controlling the rest of my tank. There are solutions to this problem, like upgrading hardware, remapping keys to different circuits, etc, but i thought it was pertinent nevertheless. -
Alice's Restaurant is a must. Some classic Beatles is always welcome.

What movie did you last watch? And what do you think of it?
r_Muffin_Man0 replied to Irontank1v in Archive
In the past year or two, stuff i've watched a few times: Safety Not Guaranteed, Cold Mountain, Moneyball, Limitless, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Inbetweener Movie, Your Highness, Project X, Defendor.....good stuff. I just watched: the hobbit pretty much more of the same...the epic greatness of the Tolkien books are so special, but the movie adaptations always seemed a bit too "high on themselves". and the dictator again, more of the same borat, bruno, etc....almost seemed like the same characters, style, love interests, and feel of the plot but with slightly different back stories. -
"Tanks for the good times!" - (pun intended - alternate version "Tanks for a good time!")

Thanks for your replies. I know from my perspective as a defender, i can play a really tough game, the other team could drug up to get a single flag. I can play my heart out, but if the rest of my team cant manage to get 1 flag, then thats it, 0 crystals will be rewarded, no matter how long and hard i play. I understand the point of a flag game is to get flags, but the point of the game in general is quality play. I don't see any reason for the rewards to be so so heavily skewed. I mean come on, not 1 crystal, thats a bit harsh.

Bug: Rail broken in friendly fire battles
r_Muffin_Man0 replied to r_Muffin_Man0 in Bug: Rail broken in friendly fire battles Archive
The railgun does not damage teammates in battles with friendly fire enabled. It seems perhaps that sometimes it does work if the friendly target is shooting me, but not otherwise. Often there are players (usually firebird or freeze) who just enjoy killing their own team in these games. Trying to vote them out is a start but often does eject the player immediately. Defending yourself is the only option, and that is hard when the rail does no damage.... Thanks, MuffinMan -
Is there any work being done on adjusting the rewards for flag and TD games? I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that the current system where 6 hours of hard gameplay results in 0 crystals if your team wins no flags is fair. And a TD game where one side has 800 kills, the other has 799, and the rewards are so incredibly skewed seems unfair as well. Unless its a clan war or something, the game should be rewarding based primarily on score regardless of team, with a bit of a tilt to the "winning" team. Just my thoughts, MuffinMan
