At the moment I only have 1 M2 hull, which is hornet, and i love it. It also is quite cheap :P Maybe you should go for hunter first, and then decide whether you want a faster or a stronger hull next to hunter (dictator or hornet in your case) As for weapons, it is quite tough, since most weapons have really different features. you should probably drop thunder or rail since they are the most comparible of the 4 IMHO. for the paints, I am using corrosion since the rank it unlocked and it serves me well, I'm not planning to buy another one before emerald. Or just buy a ****load of crystals to buy it all xD

it is probably better to drop 1 weapon and 1 hull, although I didnt succeed in that myself ;P All the basic paints seem a bit useless to me, it is probably better to wait a while with paints till you can get 1 decent paint

Guys, do you think the vesuvius kit is worth it for me?, I play long ranged combat mostly and would love to have the viking M2 and the blacksmith. I'm not sure about the vulcan though.

I end up quite high in battles most of the time with my hornet/rail, but I think you have to like rail to be good with it
