Crystal Gifts from the New Year Celebration
happy_creepers replied to happy_creepers in Crystal Gifts from the New Year Celebration Archive
Hello! I have a question about these gifts. When will they be redeemed for crystals? I was under the impression that we could send crystals to each other via these gifts. Did I misunderstand the feature? -
I love that the new V-LOG is starting to revisit the older days of Tanki. With this, can we have history sections for each turret, hull, and paint in the wiki? Some of the old garage descriptions were pretty good reads, and it would be nice to have screenshots of the old graphics for nostalgia's sake. (On a silly note, I remember the Shaft's flavor text used to mention delivering pizzas. Am I going crazy?)

Thanks for the replies, guys. I think i've heard enough. Are we allowed to call for a moderator to close this topic?

This would encourage more offensive gameplay with the shaft, rather than camping or "hard-scoping." This would probably start a fresh new meta-game!

People Take This Game Too Seriously

There's been a lot of stigma against so-called "saboteurs" in the game. I believe that players are over-reacting to that. I personally find nothing wrong with camping for crystal drops or being friendly with one or two members of the enemy team. Before crystal boxes were removed altogether, boxes would be a huge chunk of the income of an inexperienced player. Someone who couldn't garner enough points to earn a portion of the battle fund could pick up crystal drops instead. Players camping near drop zones shouldn't be denigrated for their actions. Also, I don't understand why people take teams so seriously. After all, we're all just players in this game. Someone on the enemy team could very well become your ally in a game the next day. There is nothing wrong with having someone on your Friends List to also be on the enemy team, nor is there anything wrong with a truce between two enemy tankers. Of course, there are players who join a battle and not do ANYTHING at all, and players who deliberately impede their team's progress. I'm not defending those players, only those who engage in slightly less questionable activities. It's impossible to find the perfect battle. If a teammate seems to be prioritizing profit over the objective, or has a secret agreement with an enemy, it's better to let it slide and allow the other 7 or 8 players on the team to compensate for their faults. -
Don't get me wrong - I love this game mode, but I find the other types of matches more fun.

I really enjoy "no-scoping" with the Shaft. There's nothing more silly than thoroughly misusing a weapon like that. =P But it's actually quite useful. At my rank, a Railgun can leave just enough HP on a Hornet of the same modification for you to easily steal that kill with an arcade shot. I don't know if this is true for the M2 or M3 Railguns and Hornets, but I'll do it while I can.

I preferred the old Firebird, which had a shorter afterburn time, but much more afterburn damage. Who agrees?

Sooooo.... Does anyone here also play Team Fortress 2?

Only for people who take playing Tanki too seriously.
