I don't know how exactly it will go, beauty of science is that we are never sure. Remember nature has flaws too ;). No organism is perfect. Even if they develop resistance to all possible drugs we can design then we can try engineering microorganisms that will fight back the virus (this is just a theory) OR maybe one of the humans develop immunity against the virus, and so we can use that specific genetic mutation against the virus. Who knows what we might be able to do when this situation arises, 100 years ago no one imagined that we will be able to clone animals or genetically engineer mice that can glow in dark, and many more weird stuff science can do now :)

That doesn't mean there is no cure. There are plenty of ways we can exploit virus structure for its weaknesses. They might develop resistance but this will take some time. Even if they do, for example, the old classic penicillin is useless nowadays as most of the bacteria have developed resistance towards it, but instead we use modified versions of penicillin (for example adding an extra ring in its structure) which can bypass some of the resistant machineries developed by bacteria.
