Dear Jack, It's been so long my friend, from the moment we've met to being colleagues in making Tanki a better and safer place. I've known you as such a respectable member of the community and it is with a grave heart that I bid you farewell. We here appreciate all you have done for us, as you have changed so many through your actions. Thank you, and may God be with his family during this tough time. - Jonathan Ho (loktinho/SpreadLoveNotHate)

Guide [Issue 68] 7 Ways To Succeed With Your Helper Application
SpreadLoveNotHate replied to Flexoo in Newspaper Archive
TBH Lank, I love what you said. Tanki's game staff are pretty different in a way that it's staffed by those picked from the community, from what little I know about games anyways. There's pros and cons from it of course. I can write a whole article about it if I want to. (Maybe at a later date...) But in the end, it's inevitable that there are staff that want to become staff because of compensation in paints, pride, and purchasing power. It's quite enticing after all, if I do say so myself. Ultimately, we do see that good staff exist as well. And this is the way the system works...perhaps the inability of screening and sorting out intentions when staffers join, or just the transparency nowadays about the perks staff get. Tanki exists as a community because there are staffers that have gone the extra mile. Helping tankers, building meaningful relationships with both staff and tankers, serving the community rightfully...that's how someone gets remembered. I guess it is established that the 'less committed' staff members are going to exist. It's inevitable. Greed is human nature. Instead of spending time thinking about those less than average, why don't we turn our attention to those that are giving their job 110%? Let's take more time appreciating the better staff as a community, and encourage a community that we can be proud of sharing. I want to challenge everyone reading this to do something. If you know at least one staff member that has made your stay at Tanki more bearable, it wouldn't hurt to just say "Thank you" the next time you encounter them. It may seem like a simple phrase, but it means a lot for someone that has been spending hours here trying to make this community better. We don't need to be fixated on the negatives. Let's focus on the positives and change the community, one thank you at a time.- 46 replies

Interview [Issue 65] Meet The New Admins: Flexoo & V'tando
SpreadLoveNotHate replied to Hex in Newspaper Archive
Congrats to the new admins and great interview! : ) It's great how every new addition and change to the reporters team adds more personality and ideas to this ever-growing palette of writing talent. The newspaper has definitely evolved over the past 60+ issues, and it's been such a treat watching how players themselves have grown too. Looking forward to seeing the newspaper transform into the highlight of the forum! Lots of love. -
My missions are stuck and no progress is being updated on it. Please link me. Thanks! - loktinho

That feeling when you spend little time in a battle and still end up with more crystals than you've gotten in the past month.

Congrats Goldrock. And I guess a couple opinion pieces can't do harm, everyone does prefer their readings presented differently. -
Redpool Event: Unique paint and in-game gift!

EXACTLY. And why haven't I gotten a response to either my PM or my post here Semyon Kirov? Which coincidentally has more likes than Semyon's comment to do more of these events. Semyon Kirov, did I make such a good point that you can't respond? -
Redpool Event: Unique paint and in-game gift!

It IS an inappropriate movie. That's the point. By doing an event like this, they're promoting discussion of it, and so comes the inappropriate items that are exhibited in the movie. You can think of it this way. If kids may have already watched stuff on the net that's more inappropriate, it still matters to the other kids in the game that they aren't exposed to it. From a parent's perspective, its a revolting thought to have their children discover these things when they're not supposed to. A PERFECT example of what SHOULDN'T be on the forum/chat. But given this event, its almost as if Tanki is promoting this sort of discussion of the movie. It's not even banned/censored yet! They promote Tanki as a SAFE game for all ages. Check out MrCommando's post here. That is the pure reason we need to keep these things appropriate. Of course kids could learn swearing in school. They could hear it from friends. However, Tanki still works towards providing a clean-language chat for kids. The punishments aren't light either. I'm not posting this to create an argument. I'm posting this from an adult/parent's point of view that Deadpool isn't something I'd want a child to see. I wish for a RESPONSIBLE and JUSTIFIABLE response from an administrator. -

Let me get this straight admins. I've never been a pessimist about your decisions in the past, but I find this rather unethical and ironic. First of all, every living being with eyes and a brain can interpret that 'Redpool' and your paint are references towards Deadpool. Deadpool isn't just a superhero movie, or any other Avengers movie. It's an R rated movie, and borderline it was going to be rated NC-17 from what I've heard. From creating an 'event' and a lifelong 'paint' in the theme of Deadpool, don't you think you're more promoting the R-rated, kid-inappropriate movie? Perhaps parents have created endless efforts to keep this movie away from children because of its inappropriate language, scenes, and ideas portrayed. As a former staff member, I think this is incredibly ironic of promoting something as this, even when such inappropriate language (ones from the movie) are intolerable in game chat. With the internet and the power of web searching, who knows if the kids will stumble on the inappropriate items after being introduced to them through this game? Are YOU, developers, to take responsibility for this? This paint and event is just incredibly low and selfish of the developers. There is NO GOOD coming from this other than a money grab for Tanki.- 215 replies

There is no need for a dictator kit. There used to be one, and from what I remember, it wasn't too popular anyways.
