Aside form hand washing, etc. It also travels on clothing and shoes. So it might be wise to spray your shoes with disinfectant, and remove/change clothing before sitting on any furniture, or petting any pets (dogs-cats-mice-gerbils-hamsters-etc.). It can stay on their fur. If you don't have to go out, don't. Good Luck...?
