Sorry, lads, but this update is crap. I like to be able to choose the type of game I play and on which map, because there are some I simply don't like or don't suit the way I play. I hope you are going to be putting it back or providing the option. The idea of a quick battle is great, but some of us have spent a lot of money for you to dick about with what we had through previous updates. now, if you want to take away any choice, that will be it – no more purchases, because I won't be able to spend them how I choose. What is wrong with you guys? DO you deliberately think of ways to bollox the business model?
-
Well said, Zombie. Just who is supporting Tanki, after all? Does it come from screen ads?
-
That's bollocks, LaserShark. Do you mean it is overpriced, because you are not prepared to pay for it?
-
In fact, the 'drugs' can even up battles and is a fact of life. Do you think any army goes into battle thinking it won't roll out certain weapons because others can't use them? Don't be so bloody daft.
-
Well said. It will end up with people gravitating towards a single or very few setups that maximise the lack of 'drug' capability. That will mean fewer sales of 'drugs', hulls, turrets. Well done, Tanki. You just ****ed your own business plan in the arse.
-
I agree. Some of these people think only noobs use powerups. They are delusional and possibly just tight. But they are not the real supporters of Tanki (as a business) in any case.
-
It's not only noobs using powerups, Chameleos. There is skill in how they are deployed, because they only last for a short period of time. If you don't understand that, I don't see how you can really understand the game or dismiss those using powerups as noobs. They are a useful tactical tool for those who use fast light machines as attack vehicles against the real flood of noobs who buy big and operate as barely moving road blocks.

It doesn't take more skill at all. Have you not noticed since the last 'upgrade' how many people (particularly Russian it seems) have all the gear but no idea. You go into a battle only to discover many of them have no sense of gameplay and some cannot even drive their tanks in a straight line. People have long complained about the power ups (often referred to as drugs) because they didn't want to buy them. Quite often the most vociferous who would try and stop you playing on their side in a battle were the most powerful tanks there, so they had a vested interest in not allowing people to use drugs. As a result, if you use a fast and light tank like me, to get in and fight toe to toe with the big bulky defenders who sit on the flag, you need powerups timed to help you or you would be respawning every 30 seconds. That is pure bull**** and Tanki is shooting itself in the foot/business plan by introducing such a system. How they couldn't see that is beyind me, but I have learned to expect a lack of commercial reality from the Tanki crowd in the cavalier way it treats its customers – particularly PAYING customers. Tanki should have looked at a way of augmenting powerups instead of limiting their power. By limiting their power, I cannot play the game as I would like any more and certainly won't be spending as much – if anything as I really don't like the current gameplay – on powerups. So, well done yet again, Tanki. You have listened to those who complain it is unfair that people use 'drugs' and punished those who make the business commercially viable. Really ****ing smart.

Why is it you ****ers always assume everyone reads this bloody forum all the time? I had no bloody clue what is going on when I logged in today so I am completely in the ****ing dark AS USUAL. I have an email address linked to my account. Why can't you send people a message when you want to dick about with the game? So far, I cannot work out what is going on, but I know I don't like the fact I cannot turn on my powerups (drugs as some like to call them) as I used to, which is how I play. Christ almighty, I spend enough on them for this game, so why do you have to mess about with them?

I have tried Firefox, Opera and Chrome and the lag is unnaceptable because it make the game unplayable. When are you going to sort this out, Tanki, as it was working perfectly BEFORE the changes.
-
I am having the same problems which makes the game UNPLAYABLE. Get it sorted as I spend plenty of money on this.

Where are the new physics, micro-upgrades and other promised goodies

In other words, YET AGAIN, you will take something we have ALREADY PAID FOR and make it worse so we are encouraged to rebuild it. If you do that, there will be a world of trouble. -
I simply don't believe it. THey will be stable until you change things again. You simply cannot be trusted not to screw your customers. Sad, isn't it? Especially as the responses are never constructive, unlike some of the suggestions you receive.

This is just about money and will probably break the Tanki model. I am a buyer, and was unhappy with the rebalance, because everything I had paid for, ie OWNED, was STOLEN from me. But I bought kit once I had qualified for a rank, with a couple of exceptions when I was so close to getting an upgrade. It did prevent you buying experience, which helps to a degree, because there is nothing more upsetting than joining a battle to discover your high ranked colleagues can barely drive their tanks, let alone work as a fighting unit. PATHETIC. However, this means people with no experience or understanding of the game have an unfair advantage over others may not buy outright. I see what you're doing, you're creating an elite member who can come in and get to the VIP lounge immediately. Fair enough. But this game is predicated on skill and developing it. That doesn't matter on an individual basis, but for the group battles, you rely on it. I wold also suggest your model relies on it, because we like coming in and playing together in groups. Well, I'll see how it goes, but if this means you just have idiots coming in with all the gear an no idea, you will completely run the gameplay. If you do that, you've lost anyway. I'd love to hear a proper response to these comments, as all I see are stupid videos telling us how much is put into making the game better, but it now explains why the finance department is so BIG.

There you go. Simple question, but I can't see how to do it in the settings or profile menus.
