so is there a chance to deal higher damage than the gun real maximum damage

another thing that i have noticed! i know that thunder M1 can deal a max damage of 72, i have hornet M1 with 119hp - there are times where with a single shot of thunder, i am left with very little of my hp and obviously i suffered more than 72 damage (which is supposed to be the max damage of the thunder) and the player is not using the double power drug! i believe there is something more to the power of the guns, if you use it in a special manner maybe... or is it the hull itself - as if it is weaker from some sides more than others

Hi, my first post! looking at the guns damage rate, thunder M0 deals 37 - 50 damage. What is the criteria for more or less damage dealt? is it distance or something else? if yes closer deals more damage? does the same logic applies to the other guns that deals a range of damage like twins or ricochet? cheers!
