(Throughout your posts, you're not actually writing down any causes, but rather the effects and there is a signifficant difference. Effects in all honesty are easy to recognise most of the time, which is what you've addressed to, but from what I gathered you didn't actually write down any causes.)First up, I am colorblind so I had an incredibly hard time reading your responses, so I apologize if I misread them. I tried to write the causes, but as you said they didn't come out as well as I hoped. Hard Working Devs/Staff (Ok, here's a problem already. For as much as we all might think that they work hard, mathematically AND logically, this can easily be disproven. Considering that most of the company's workers are working on the game and that there are A LOT of them, then comparing it to the amount of work that is actually being done, you'll notice that this suggests that they aren't really working that hard on the in-game stuff. It isn't actually too hard to make a change in balance, or implement a small new feature in the game. I've done programming myself and the amount of hours I've done modding stuff on other games in terms of programming could be done in a few minutes by the amount of people working in the Alternativa Platform if they worked hard, and yes, they are not making big awesome changes that require a whole overhaul of the game; it's just some little bits and bobs here and there and the update is ready to go. And just because the game is 3D based, does not make it hoardingly more complex than 2D games in terms of programming. It might be slightly more, but the difference isn't a 1:50)I never said anything about 3D. And guess what, I've learned the basics of a few programming languages as well. And honestly I think every game making company could go faster than they do. But, Tanki seems to be a faster one. Apparently this is my opinion. Large Variety of Maps, this, is a good thing, and the result of hard working devs (Emm, no. As disappointing as it might sound, it is very trivial to make maps. Most maps include pretty much the same kind of tiles which are not different in terms of their texture shape and the shape of their binding boxes. I've seen a tutorial on how to open hulls, weapons and paints on blender and it is in fact very easy. AND I have tried to make new textures for tiles and paints myself. It's very easy. It doesn't take a group of a hundred geniuses to do it all nowadays.). Only thing that's bad about this is one of my solutions below includes a download... (Wait, what? From what I can make out of this sentence is that the problem here is your solution... I know that's not what you're implying, but it's the only way that I could read this sentence.)Yes I know that it easy and that there are tons of reused sprites, objects, and textures. But I love how there are so many maps. I also use Blender, so I know what it's like there. And I meant that the huge variety of maps would make my suggested downloading them to decrease loading times would make the downloaded file bigger. One In-Game Currency, let's think about this. Unlike some other games, that have two currencies (one premium, one earn-able) Tanki has one currency, crystals. The good thing about this is no one can point fingers saying “You (premium currency) (insult)!”. (People can though, point their fingers saying "You (buyers) (insult)!")I'd rather be called a buyer than a premium currency slinger. Hard Working Devs/Staff, let's just give them a hand now (Nope). They stay in touch with the community (Nope), and push out updates fairly consistently(Whether this is a good thing is dependent on how players react to them and on how it affects their gameplay. So far, majority of the updates have been absolutely devastating for most players, hence why people complain about them.), they're just awesome (Devs are like: *complicated man impression* "Yus, yus, we're superior"). Same can't be said for a lot of other titles. I'm also banking on this fact in hopes that a staff member will read this whole thing. (If you mean staff as in like moderators and reporters, may be, but for in terms of administrators (developers), they most likely don't give the smallest amount of crap about what you have to say, unless it's something that breaks their rules.)Probably. But I've seen more good progress than bad from Tanki which is something that can't be said for most of the games I've played/play. Cons (Wow, the list here surely is bigger than of what the supposed pros are. At least you've gotten this far! And I'm not being sarcastic, that's a compliment.):Thanks, this post was more about the cons than the pros, I just put them there to make some people feel better; to be blunt. Loading Into Battles is Slow Much of the Time. So tagging onto the Minimal Hardware Requirements, if Tanki wanted to run faster, all they'd have to do is provide maybe a 1Gb download with all the maps in Tanki (Yeah, it's not like we have all these testing tools which a lot of us have already downloaded, however if those maps were connected to the game, they players might as well change the way the original maps look. And we can't have that because devs' game is based on you buying their virtual and worthless currency and if maps were altered, well, people might as well make maps so easy that it would take literally seconds to make the battle fund skyrocket.),Uh, this game is server based. And if I'm reading what you are saying correctly then you are saying people could change the maps. No, the server would be like "lol nope" and run the maps as they are. Editing the map files would crash your game. that way you could load the maps off your computer and not the browser. Well you are probably thinking something along the lines of “But Vinylsiding, now I have to download something, not good. I have a bad connection and it will take forever! And how could this download POSSIBLY help my loading time?” (No, that is NOT what I thought, mainly because we already have a ton of stuff related to tanki that you need to download in order to get access to, including the game itself, which requires you to download Flash Player. Later it will require Unity and then only people with good computers will be able to play the game, because this game isn't console based, so people who have crappy computers or crappy computers and fancy games consoles can get out and shut the front door.)good, although really, flash player and unity plugins are essential for most things I've ever done on the internet, so not having them and including them in a "Downloads required" list doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Then again maybe I'm just weird.and my response to that is as such. If you have a bad connection then you aren't going to be getting less than 120ms ping already, which is nearing unplayable for a game like Tanki with tons of effects going on when Twins or Ricochet or Freeze or Firebird start shooting. Plus a 1Gb is probably worst case scenario size, as the map files probably aren't too large. Also it would speed up your loading because your graphics card could help load that, as well as reading off a HDD or SSD is a lot faster than receiving and loading packets from the servers. So this might actually speed up the servers a little. (Good point, but I refer to the points I made earlier)So do ILastly, you shouldn't have to download this, it just be something for people who would like the benefits of this (Which is almost everyone still playing this game). So we will add this download thing to the suggestions end of this. (The game is online based and it isn't a game which you can just play for free, buy and then play for free, or one you get for free and can play for free and then can donate to the company so that they could improve this game and sustain themselves with. This game is based on monopoly. You can play the game for free, but if you want to exceed or a lot of the time even just succeed, you have to buy crystals. If the whole game was not monopoly based, not only more people would play it and be in favor of, but the company itself would be able to sustain for much longer, but because the company has buried the game so much into this monopoly, there is no way that it could alter this and not leave a ton of people complaining and then have the game not succeed as people would then have a very bad impression on the company, so they do the best as they can to keep you uninformed of their crisis and to squeeze as much money out of you with a minimum amount of lobbying.)Kinda what I thought I said later, but ok More People on One Team than the Other, oh the bane of good solo-ing players. Why does this happen? Well, what happens is that whoever was designing game mechanics thought it would be a great idea to let people join a team that has 10 while the other has two. (No. While this was possible before one update that changed it so that this is only possible for "Pro" battles, it is no longer possible to do so in free battles and nor is that the main reason for imbalanced teams. In most cases, it is the fact that both teams get the same amount of players, but then some players on one team leave, leaving the result to imbalanced teams. This cannot be resolved in any way, as even if people don't get the option to leave the battle until it is over, people can still switch off their browser or switch off their computer entirely. The reason why the non-autobalanced teams is a good feature is that it can help out in private battles and if you want to play on the same team as your friend.)Seriously, how could this possibly help anything at any point? Give one example, I dare you. (I gave you two, actually and if you thought more about this I'm sure you would've figured this out yourself.)What could fix this? (I refer to my first point on this "issue"; nothing!)Just make it so you can only join the less manned team, or in the event that there are the same amount of players you join the one with less points or flag captures. (Again, I refer to my first point about this "issue")This will be added to the suggestions list. (Your suggestion won't solve this in any way. You're just gonna get more people wasting their time, trying to find battles where they could join with their friends and is decent to to their interests.)I was mistaken about this, as you can see from the moderators post above. Power-ups, yes, I'm sure this has been debated for a long time and the recent only being able to use one “drug” at a time has helped a TON. But. There is still, a problem. “What could that problem be, O wise Viny?*sarcastic voice*”. First, don't call me that (I didn't. And if you meant that as a joke, it was a terrible one. More insulting than it is funny.)Lol sorry, second, power-ups are now more overpowered than ever. How that came about is the not letting people use more than one at a time (Nononononono... People who buy supplies are the ones who have problems with this most of the time, not the players who play without buying them. People DEMANDED that this be changed and even though the reason behind it was not to what people wanted, it certainly made more people glad than it made frustrated)Not necessarily, read below. Now when someone has picked up all three, you are done. You can't retaliate, you will be toast no matter yours and the enemies combos. He will do twice as much damage, take twice as many hits, and go twice as fast. There is nothing you can do. (That was the whole point of the update (well not the whole point, but really part of it); to make people use drop boxes more than their collected or purchased supplies as people didn't care about supplies if they had them stashed in their garage!)You didn't address what I said really. I said that if someone picked up all three you couldn't possibly win, because you couldn't use more than one at a time. What could fix this? REMOVE POWER-UPS! It's so simple, why hasn't it been done? Because Tanki wants/needs money. ("Because Tanki wants/needs money" yes, but from what I see, you're making a strawman here. The problem isn't that people have supplies that makes it all so frustrating, it's the option to buy them, which enables all the rich buyers to dominate more in battles and have more options.)Which would get fixed if buying crystals wasn't so powerful. If you join a battle with power-ups, you pay crystals to buy some to use them (Not always the case. You could get them for free by collecting daily gifts before and now by doing missions (missions isn't something you've been talking about in this topic, so I'll leave that aside to not go off-topic))True, but it takes a lot longer to save those up. And I didn't know about missions, I will look them up, if you join a battle without them, you pay crystals to get in (No. That used to be the case with No-supply battles, but now that "Pro" battles have taken their place, the function is very different as to what it was before. In "Pro" battles, you can play without having the delay of using all supplies than in normal battles (which, btw was a feature in the normal games before), so really you can result to paying for the battle AND for the supplies which you use in that battle!)Not sure I understand, pleae clarify. It's a lose lose for you and a win win for them. (Agreed, but not interpreting this in the way you did.) Or, you could just, you know, make it free to enter pro battles. (That would abolish part of their monopoly, which is something they don't want to do as it gives them more money in the far end.)Exactly Again, this will be added to the suggestions list. Only One In-Game Currency can be Bought, (Ok, you're literally contradicting yourself here. If you see one currency in the game as a benefit, why would buying ONE in-game currency concern you? You want to buy another currency which has nothing to do with the game itself or something?)Having one in game currency is a good thing until it can't be bought. All this does is make it both a premium and non-premium currency at the same time.“Viny, you put this in the Pros? What is it doing here?”. Good question, glad you asked. I added “can be Bought” this time. (You did, however put ONE in-game currency. If you titled this as "In-game currency can be bought" there would be no issues here and we would move on, so next time, if there ever is a next time, think about what titles you're giving your arguments, ok?)OkGuess what, you just made the game pay to win (agreeed)yep, the only thing that can possibly stop someone is the rank to unlock Ms system. (Yes. One thing to point out here, though is that at one point you could actually buy experience points, so if you had a **** load of money, you could become generalissimo with everything in the game bought in no time! Later on this was removed, however. While this benefited the developers at the time, it was removed as more people were complaining about it.)I have been here since about a year and a half after it started, with the old graphics. So I remember that. But if you are overpowered for your rank, that should come quickly. There are two fixes for this, one is to: Let them play against higher ranks (How about remove the hierarchical rank system completely, ei? Oh, wait, this game is based on monopoly and since the company has no way round this then... never mind.)Agreed, or: Remove the ability to buy crystals. (Yes, lets have that as a thing... oh, wait... Again, this game is based on monopoly, so never mind...)You must be real russled about the monopoly thing, xD, though this whole post is about the problems caused by the monopoly thing Neither of those is good. (They would have been if the company hadn't buried the game in monopoly so much)I already listed the playing against other ranks as a con below, and if you couldn't buy crystals how would Tanki stay alive? (I give you two examples (if the game wasn't monopoly based in the first place): First - sell the game itself and then what you do in the game is absolutely free and up to you. An example can be taken from Klei company selling their game called Don't Starve, people then buying it and then being able to alter the game the way they want it and as much as they want it. Second - ask for donations! If the game is good, people are ought to contribute some money in order to keep the workers of the company "fed" and so they would have enough material to improve the game.)Well, there is a third solution. Make it easier to grind out crystals, (Because of monopoly, this is not going to happen. The game had actually already went down from 100% to 50% and then to 80%, but mainly to stop people from complaining, though it is a sin of thiers to keep the funds at 20% lower than they originally were for reasons unjustified.)correct that way normal players can stay on some sort of David VS Goliath level so they at least have a chance without having to play 24/7. Toxic Chats, are inevitable, but nonetheless a frustrating part of the game. What I guess I am more addressing is the inappropriateness of the chat (Why do you care?! How does people using inappropriate language make any difference in anything? Aaawwww, did they hurt your feelings? Yeah, as if that's a good enough excuse to disable them from communicating with others completely. The only reason why it has any effect on you is because you're way too sensitive on this crap, so how about you grow a pair and deal with it. Cussing will be a thing in every place in one way or another, and if you can't deal with that, you're basically thinking that you can live in some fairy land with rainbows and unicorns.)I'm not going there on a game forum. I don't like stuff like that, and I won't repeat it, but I won't try to remove communications. And how would it hurt my feelings when it isn't about or to me?. Honestly, ever since I came back from my two year vacation from Tanki (I enjoyed it a good deal), the chat has been about 5082% worse than when I left. I'm not kidding, I just did the math.. Okay, I didn't do the math, but it is significantly terrible. (1. No it is not, 2. Where is the evidence showing that people have been using cuss words more often lately, hmm?)Fix? There isn't really one, you can hire hundreds of moderators and get the same result. All we can do is vote and report. Oh well. ("All we can do" are you freakin' kidding me?! First there is no need for you to do so as it doesn't even affect your gameplay in any way and second, there is this thing called BLOCKING in the game. Ever heard of it? Many others have and that is an option, so how about you use that to keep away whatever others have to say from yourself, ei, instead of begging for a bunch of scammers to remove other people's freedom of speech just because they hurt your freakin' feelings?!)I never said to remove speech. And no I didn't know Tanki featured a block feature. Please demonstrate, I'd like to use it occasionally Over Powered Turrets (Ok, you're phrasing this wrong. What you should have put is "Unbalanced Turrets", because if all turrets were over powered, they would be balanced and that would mean that there isn't really an issue in having one stronger than the other.)Will do so in the future, you know what I'm talking about. Twins is ridiculous. So is Thunder (Once upon a time, during the early days of rebalance, Thunder was the most underpowered weapon in the game. Now, I have not seen how effective the current thunder actually is, but judging from your suggestion, you are willing to make thunder the way it was during the early days of rebalance; underpowered!). I mean seriously? How can you contest? Twins, beats you to tiny little fragments (That's what it's supposed to do, that is its mechanical function, you maggot.); Death by a thousand stabbings. It takes NO skill to use (So what? Every turret has its own way of how it is used and some weapons take longer to get the skill than others, but in the end both could end up being at the same power. Just because something is easy to use, doesn't mean it is overpowered!). Just plop a brick on your spacebar, drive your tank into a wall, point you turret at an enemy, and in a few seconds it will die (You're saying that as if it's not the case for Freeze, Isida, Smoky, Firebird, Vulcan and Hammer as well. Railgun could also be, but its reload speed really takes away the possibility.). If it doesn't, hit the three button, and it definitely will. (Double Damage supply makes ALL weapons stronger, so how is this a good argument?)Fix? All you have to do is nerf it's range. Buff it's rate of fire, and suddenly you have another middish to short range weapon. (Ok, look, it's supposed to be used more for mid range than short range. If you make its range smaller but its damage dealing bigger, it will bring a new problem to the table; being superior to the short range turrets!)It would be amazing at defending, or on something like Wasp, just try to get in close and it will win. Try to beat a Ricochet or Vulcan and it will lose. (Waht? This isn't about "Who should beat who"; it's all about range and different weapons have different effects in different ranges. What exactly are you implying here? That Ricochet and Vulcan should be overall more powerful than Twins, because screw balance?)Thunder. Sigh. Decent reload, ridiculous damage, decent kick to the enemy, shrapnel (I refer to what I said about Thunder earlier)... There is no way to beat this thing (Lies). Seriously, someone show me a video of ANY M1 combo vs a M1 Thunder and M1 hull and show an effective way to beat it at long, medium, and close ranges. (Omg. The level of stupidity... It kills my brain cells... Anyway, first, you do realize that Thunder M1 is from Warrant Officer 1 rank, so it will certainly be more powerful than the M1s of lower ranks (psst: that's one reason as to why we have micro-upgrades!). Secondly, if its damage was buffed, but reload time nerfed, then how does that make it more powerful than it was before? From what I see, that only makes it less powerful as now it will damage itself more if hitting a nearby wall from one shot, which could be critical in certain situations and where it having to deal less damage and reload faster would be better off.)Just try. Fix? It's already expensive, but all that does it make it slightly more rare.(What?!) What should be done is to kill it's long range attributes. (Omg, this is what happened just after Rebalance and as I mentioned earlier, it became underpowered!)Make it so long range weapons (Railgun and Shaft) can win against it at their own game, and then that would be good enough. (Railgun and Shaft can beat Thunder in long ranges, mate. It all depends on your skill, upgrade and supplies.)I'm sorry for the stupidity. I read everything you said there, and have no good response that properly expresses what I meant in more detail. Occasional Lostness, so many maps, just can't memorize them all. Simple fix, add a mini-map with no tanks (not even you) on it. The game would stay the same, except you might be able to get somewhere on a big map you don't know?(Nice suggestion, though I would prefer if other players showed up on it. The minimap would be in particular useful if you're using ricochet.)Glad you agree People Leaving Battles they are Losing, this does a few things. Shows how much patience you have (So what? Am I supposed to be ashamed because I can't bare with constantly losing in a battle?), and amplifies the “More people on one team than the other” problem. Fix? Not much of one, you already lose your score if you leave, but, that isn't much of a punishment. (Why the hell do you need to be punished for leaving a battle without finishing it? The game will be even more of a killjoy than it already is if you make more punishments for leaving a battle!)I hope the account you are using here isn't your highest ranking one. And why shouldn't you go unrewarded and slightly punished for leaving a battle early? I don't think it would be more a killjoy. Another popular tank game will ban you for leaving battles, and it hasn't been a problem... But, that would be a punishment if they fixed the crystals situation, which I will address in a bit. And, this also wouldn't happen if this next problem were addressed. Rank Differences, this desperately needs to be fixed. I am currently at a rank that I see a lot of M2s, and even a couple M3s I think, while I (although this is partly my fault) am still saving for my FIRST M2. This could be fixed if this next problem were fixed. No comments? Crystal Grinding, it takes absolutely forever, and is boring like you wouldn't believe. (I agree, but guess what; they won't do that because they want to drain as much cash from you as they can through this game.)You don't have a good tank (that's why you are grinding), it takes a loong time to get any kind of crystals, and in general is just a waste of time. (agreed)This could be fixed by: Multiplying the battle fund by 1.75. (Which they will never do. And, why 1.75? Have you given any explenation as to why that particular number? I've calculated that it would be better to earn x1.5 the amount of score you get, so that you will always get x1 at least the amount of score you got within the game and the rest depends on how far you're won in the game if you're playing on a team based battle.)1.75x because it is high enough to make a decent difference but low enough to not entirely break the "economy". This would make it easier to get crystals, fixing the above two problems, as well as the one in-game currency problem, and it might even slightly fix the power-ups problem if they weren't removed. Problems and Suggested Solutions:Everything you say down here you said above which I responded to. Provide a map download so loading into a game takes a shorter amount of time. (They don't want anybody messing with their maps as this will cause crisis in their monopoly.) Only let a player join the losing or less manned team. (Like that isn't a thing already. And btw, that doesn't work already, as usually players who are not rich buyers tend to be reluctant on joining battles where the team they can join is guaranteed to be wrecked.) Remove Power-ups to level the field, or make it free to join pro battles. (1. Never gonna happen, 2. Power-ups are what makes the game more interesting and the problem isn't the fact that they are there, but that they can be bought.) Nerf Twins Range Buff its ROF to fix it in general. (That won't "fix" it, that will just make close range weapons underpowered in comparison to it.) Nerf the Thunder's long range damage just to give it a weakness, thus balancing it. (Again, making it as it was just after rebalance will just make it underpowered.) Add mini-map without any tanks or you shown on it (WITH tanks showing on it)No. Please, no. If you could know where all the enemy tanks are at all times that would ruin the game. That would ruin any game. And you can already see your allies and surroundings around you so you'd be able to work out where you and your allies were., making it easier on everyone. Multiply the battle fund by 1.75. (why 1.75? Why not 2.39876985954?) And that, my readers, is the end of my miniature article about Tanki. Please keep it polite down there in the replies, prove me wrong on that toxic chat thing (Wow, I actually did you a favour there, lol). Also, if a staff member read this entire thing, thanks so much! (Generally they don't give a crap, but whatever.)A mod read it. Thanks for reading, -Vinylsiding (Your welcome, -AntaresXT)Thank you, I appreciated the maturity of your reply.

    Let's Discuss Equipment Combos!

Smoky Wasp any paint. Yes it gets one shorted a lot, but, you can outrun anything, and it's hard to hit. Smoky to me is the most reliable gun with bursts of huge damage. It doesn't damage itself, has a constant reload, can flip wasp back over I'd you fall on your side, can throw enemies shots, and in general can get in, do what it needs to do, and get out.
  5. Vinylsiding

    Lets discuss attacking

Wasp and Smoky, wasp is th fastest and if you play right you won't get hit, and Smoky is the only instant fire no long reload and no self damaging gun.

    Tanki, You Need Help

Hello, today I bring to you what I believe to be a solid argument about Tanki, that will address the good and the bad sides to the game, as well as what causes them, all in as logical a manner I can do. Now if you don't want to read the whole thing, skip down to the bottom and look at what problems list is and my suggested list of solutions. Let's start off on a good note, and look at the pros of the game: Pros: Minimal System Requirements Large Variety of Maps One In-Game Currency Hard Working Devs/Staff Okay, so let's start at #1, as is logical I'm sure you will agree. Minimal System Requirements states the above list. As I said we would we will look at the causes of this logically. You need minimal hardware specs because Tanki runs through a browser on Flash Player plugin, which is something very few computers can't handle. So it's easy to get good FPS, but what about Ping? Well that is entirely dependent on: How good your internet is (What you are paying for) How good your Wi-Fi (Wireless) reception is in your given location in the building What number Cat your Ethernet cable is (Higher is better, 7 is the highest I believe) What Ghz your internet is (5 or 2.4 (Isn't there a new 4 now?)) How good your Wi-Fi adapter is What server you are playing on (Play on the one closest to you) So it's obvious from all that that no one can complain about ping. I get about 40 to 110ms ping depending where I am (friends have slower Wi-Fi). I also get decently high FPS, as a web browser and a plugin are fairly easy. However, Tanki does not seem to take advantage of a graphics card. Why? Because it's on a web browser, so the GPU (as far as I know) can't do anything really, it's all up to CPU speed and some RAM. And that leads me into one of the cons, but I won't get off topic. Large Variety of Maps, this, is a good thing, and the result of hard working devs. Only thing that's bad about this is one of my solutions below includes a download... One In-Game Currency, let's think about this. Unlike some other games, that have two currencies (one premium, one earn-able) Tanki has one currency, crystals. The good thing about this is no one can point fingers saying “You (premium currency) (insult)!”. Hard Working Devs/Staff, let's just give them a hand now. They stay in touch with the community, and push out updates fairly consistently, they're just awesome. Same can't be said for a lot of other titles. I'm also banking on this fact in hopes that a staff member will read this whole thing. Cons: Loading Into Battles is Slow Much of the Time More People on One Team than the Other Power-ups Only One In-Game Currency can be Bought Toxic Chats Over Powered Turrets Occasional Lostness People Leaving Battles they are Losing Rank Differences Grinding Crystals Loading Into Battles is Slow Much of the Time. So tagging onto the Minimal Hardware Requirements, if Tanki wanted to run faster, all they'd have to do is provide maybe a 1Gb download with all the maps in Tanki, that way you could load the maps off your computer and not the browser. Well you are probably thinking something along the lines of “But Vinylsiding, now I have to download something, not good. I have a bad connection and it will take forever! And how could this download POSSIBLY help my loading time?” and my response to that is as such. Lastly, you shouldn't have to download this, it just be something for people who would like the benefits of this. So we will add this download thing to the suggestions end of this. More People on One Team than the Other, oh the bane of good solo-ing players. Why does this happen? Well, what happens is that whoever was designing game mechanics thought it would be a great idea to let people join a team that has 10 while the other has two. Seriously, how could this possibly help anything at any point? Give one example, I dare you. What could fix this? Just make it so you can only join the less manned team, or in the event that there are the same amount of players you join the one with less points or flag captures. This will be added to the suggestions list. Power-ups, yes, I'm sure this has been debated for a long time and the recent only being able to use one “drug” at a time has helped a TON. But. There is still, a problem. “What could that problem be, O wise Viny?*sarcastic voice*”. First, don't call me that, second, power-ups are now more overpowered than ever. How that came about is the not letting people use more than one at a time. Now when someone has picked up all three, you are done. You can't retaliate, you will be toast no matter yours and the enemies combos. He will do twice as much damage, take twice as many hits, and go twice as fast. There is nothing you can do. What could fix this? REMOVE POWER-UPS! It's so simple, why hasn't it been done? Because Tanki wants/needs money. If you join a battle with power-ups, you pay crystals to buy some to use them, if you join a battle without them, you pay crystals to get in. It's a lose lose for you and a win win for them. Or, you could just, you know, make it free to enter pro battles. Again, this will be added to the suggestions list. Only One In-Game Currency can be Bought, “Viny, you put this in the Pros? What is it doing here?”. Good question, glad you asked. I added “can be Bought” this time. Guess what, you just made the game pay to win, the only thing that can possibly stop someone is the rank to unlock Ms system. But if you are overpowered for your rank, that should come quickly. There are two fixes for this, one is to: Let them play against higher ranks, or: Remove the ability to buy crystals. Neither of those is good. I already listed the playing against other ranks as a con below, and if you couldn't buy crystals how would Tanki stay alive? Well, there is a third solution. Make it easier to grind out crystals, that way normal players can stay on some sort of David VS Goliath level so they at least have a chance without having to play 24/7. Toxic Chats, are inevitable, but nonetheless a frustrating part of the game. What I guess I am more addressing is the inappropriateness of the chat. Honestly, ever since I came back from my two year vacation from Tanki (I enjoyed it a good deal), the chat has been about 5082% worse than when I left. I'm not kidding, I just did the math.. Okay, I didn't do the math, but it is significantly terrible. Fix? There isn't really one, you can hire hundreds of moderators and get the same result. All we can do is vote and report. Oh well. Over Powered Turrets, you know what I'm talking about. Twins is ridiculous. So is Thunder. I mean seriously? How can you contest? Twins, beats you to tiny little fragments; Death by a thousand stabbings. It takes NO skill to use. Just plop a brick on your spacebar, drive your tank into a wall, point you turret at an enemy, and in a few seconds it will die. If it doesn't, hit the three button, and it definitely will. Fix? All you have to do is nerf it's range. Buff it's rate of fire, and suddenly you have another middish to short range weapon. It would be amazing at defending, or on something like Wasp, just try to get in close and it will win. Try to beat a Ricochet or Vulcan and it will lose. Thunder. Sigh. Decent reload, ridiculous damage, decent kick to the enemy, shrapnel... There is no way to beat this thing. Seriously, someone show me a video of ANY M1 combo vs a M1 Thunder and M1 hull and show an effective way to beat it at long, medium, and close ranges. Just try. Fix? It's already expensive, but all that does it make it slightly more rare. What should be done is to kill it's long range attributes. Make it so long range weapons (Railgun and Shaft) can win against it at their own game, and then that would be good enough. Occasional Lostness, so many maps, just can't memorize them all. Simple fix, add a mini-map with no tanks (not even you) on it. The game would stay the same, except you might be able to get somewhere on a big map you don't know? People Leaving Battles they are Losing, this does a few things. Shows how much patience you have, and amplifies the “More people on one team than the other” problem. Fix? Not much of one, you already lose your score if you leave, but, that isn't much of a punishment. Crystal Grinding, it takes absolutely forever, and is boring like you wouldn't believe. You don't have a good tank (that's why you are grinding), it takes a loong time to get any kind of crystals, and in general is just a waste of time. This could be fixed by: Multiplying the battle fund by 1.75. This would make it easier to get crystals, fixing the above two problems, as well as the one in-game currency problem, and it might even slightly fix the power-ups problem if they weren't removed. Problems and Suggested Solutions: Provide a map download so loading into a game takes a shorter amount of time. Only let a player join the losing or less manned team. Remove Power-ups to level the field, or make it free to join pro battles. Nerf Twins Range Buff its ROF to fix it in general. Nerf the Thunder's long range damage just to give it a weakness, thus balancing it. Add mini-map without any tanks or you shown on it, making it easier on everyone. Multiply the battle fund by 1.75. And that, my readers, is the end of my miniature article about Tanki. Please keep it polite down there in the replies, prove me wrong on that toxic chat thing. Also, if a staff member read this entire thing, thanks so much! Thanks for reading, -Vinylsiding
