I used to have an account (Back in the good old day) where I would go into battle, get some kills and exit right before I died. I continued this for a good while (Until sergeant or so) Basically, I had a few hundred or thousand kills (Don't remember) and a grand total of 0 deaths. This gave me a KDR in the thousands in the hall of fame. So basically my sergeant was ranked as high as many generals and marshals (Was in the top 1000 of the hall of fame, out of around 2-3 million players). Eventually I had to screw up, got one-shotted by a railgun on drugs, and naturally my KDR got halved. As my KDR got halved, so was my rating, and I went from top 1000 to somewhere in the top 5000. And yes, in the old hall of fame, your deaths were counted by one higher. So my 0 deaths was counted as 1, which why my KDR was "1000.00" or something, instead of the usual "---". Long story short: Thebetter your KDR, the bigger of a difference it will make when you die once.
