Start with a couple of tutorials aimed at beginners, stick with modeling tutorials to start with. Learning to use edit mode and the 3D cursor will be the most important things when you're getting started. Also, google "Blender cheat sheet", there's a very useful graphic floating around that will help you with Blenders interface. Feel free to message me with questions on any specific areas if you get stuck.
