Was there ever a point where Wasp M2 had more HP than Hornet M2? Yes. (1) Surprised that people got this one wrong, you only needed to look at the stats NOW to get an idea. "This is absurd! Generalissimos used to be able to play with Warrant Officer 4s!" True or false? False. (1) They could play with Warrant Officer 5s at one point though, which caught people out. In a controversial update, the powers that be opted to remove the downvote function - what was their reasoning for this? So people couldn't just dismiss the update and leave (1) they had to explain why they disliked the update (1) is what I was looking for - anything along the lines of this was credited. After the changes in balance, input the names of ALL the equipment that saw an increase in price for their M3 modification. Hornet, Viking, Freeze, Vulcan, Isida, Thunder, Railgun, Shaft (1) "Both clans obtained a 7-0 record in the group stages. Scorpions only hiccup was their defeat against Noobest" - name the article this quote came from. Clan Championship 8 (1) The need for a Pro Battle Pass has increased in recent times. Explain how. You need it if you want to create battles. (1); simple! Input the date product kits were added. 9th/29th April 2013 were accepted, since two articles gave different answers. Kolhoz's old name was an anagram for what word? Charge (1) The game has been blessed with an increased battle fund on occasion - what is the highest it's gone? (1 mark) 5x (1) A couple of people misconstrued this question by putting the highest ever battle fund. Paints have lost their protective value in recent times. What did Inferno initially protect you from? Freeze 40, Firebird 30, Twins 15 (1) - protection PERCENTAGES were required - don't give the examiner a reason not to give you the mark. Prior to being called Hammer, one of the suggested name for this turret was in tribute to an animal. What animal specifically? Bulldog (1) - some people answered "Pitbull" - that is a product, afaik Noosya is a significant name in Tanki Online - explain how. (1 mark) He caught the first Gold Box. (1) What parameter is disabled in Parkour mode? (1 mark) Weight (1) The end of previous V-LOGs had little skits involving the testing of new boxes. What was Test 14 about? (1 mark) Spy box (1) would have done the trick, although some people did explain the concept of the box, and they got the mark too. On the subject of V-LOGs, F.O.R.K is one of many Video of the Week winners. What combination was he wearing in his video? (1 mark) Thunder-Wasp (1) "Railgun has had a discount over 60% on at least two occasions." True or false? (1 mark) True (1) - it is true; I remember buying Railgun M1 for 10990 crystals. A question nobody got completely right last time - if you were to buy the "Atlas" kit, what could it give you? (2 marks) Thunder-Titan (1) and Smoky-Titan (1) - a couple of people did get it right this time though! Most people gained 1 mark from this. Paints were not necessary on either answer. What map is this? (1 mark) Crash (1) The.Archenemy is a staff member in Tanki Online - what does he do? (1 mark) Polish Forum Mod (1) After the introduction of modules, which paint saw the biggest decrease in price? (1 mark) Clay (1) "OMG I SAW A MAJOR WITH M3 THUNDER! NO, IM NOT LYING I SWEAR" Is he lying? (1 mark) No. (1) I am thinking of a number. Start with the number 4, multiply that by 20000, add an additional 57500, and then double that. State the number, then state its relevance to the game (2 marks) 275000 (1), was Firebird M3's old price before changes in balance (1) "Did you know that the game once amassed 45 servers?" That's a interesting tidbit, but is it actual fact? (1 mark) Yes. (1) A_Weird_Don switched his names around with his alternate account, A_Normal_Don, and purchased Firebird M0, M1 and M2, along with Ricochet M0 and M1. How much did A_Weird_Don spend? (2 marks) 328050 (1), working out (1) - if you switch your names, it's going to cost you 200,000 crystals. I would know, I've done it twice. Name the account that has earned the most experience points overall in Tanki Online. (1 mark) Dont_Panic (1) The Ratings system was an a update introduced a while back - what was its main criticism? (1 mark) It didn't include statistics before the update (1) is what I was looking for, although unwanted exposure of statistics is accepted. When paints had protective value, the Emerald paint had undergone changes throughout its tenure. State the changes. (2 marks) used to protect from Smoky (1) didn't protect from Railgun (1) limajd2 was the first Generalissimo in the Brazilian version of Tanki Online - what was his reward? (1 mark) limadj2 received a fully micro-upgraded Viking M3, Ricochet M3 and Zeus. (1) Product kits have been around for over 3 years. Throughout its whole tenure, how many different kits have been available? (1 mark) 131 (1) What day did Tanki Online reach 100,000 likes on their Facebook page? (1 mark) 25th September 2013, although the 26th was also credited, because of timezones and such. I think. A_Weird_Don also wanted to buy the Space paint. It had a 47% discount - how much is he going to pay? 95400 (1), working out How much would a referrer get if a referred account reached Lieutenant Colonel? (1 mark) 8320 (1) - some people missed the trick and put "1100" Andrey Kozlov is a developer - what's his Tanki username? (1 mark) kazachino (1) World of Tanks is widely deemed as a rival to Tanki Online, given that they have the same concept. Which game has more overall accounts registered? (1 mark) World of Tanks (1) State the difference between the two games in terms of account regulation. (2 marks) World of Tanks does not allow alternate accounts (penalised) (1), Tanki Online does (1) - referring to the e-mail received credit Thunder and Viking is a common tandem - which of the following statements are true? (1 mark) saw a price increase, released on same day, represent masculinity (1) - you needed all of them to get the mark, and nobody achieved that - in fairness, masculinity is a bit of a subjective one, but Mister Tanki Online helps me out here. Valletta won a Video Guide contest way back when - what did he win? (1 mark) 100k cry, 200 supplies, mug, keyboard (specific details required) (1) - EVERYBODY FORGOT ABOUT THE KEYBOARD, I COULDN'T CREDIT ANYBODY AbsolutePacifist's playstyle is unprecedented - explain how. (1 mark) he didn't kill anyone after getting Isida (1), or anything along the lines of that When players use the term "F1", what do they mean? (1 mark) Flag holder goes down in one shot (1) - probably the question most people got right. Before Mammoth's release, developers were seriously considering giving it another name - what was the name? (1 mark) Goliath (1) Was there ever a time where Dictator had less HP at M2, but more HP at M3, in comparison to Viking? (1 mark) Yeah. (1) If I recall correctly, there were a couple of points to separate the two at M2, and then at M3, Dictator had 255 and Viking had 242. Clan - AWESOME WARRIORS [CLAW] (1) - SHAMELESS PLUG Regarding the product kit question, whilst I wanted to make you guys suffer, anything between 129-132 was credited, as every time I did it, it was in that ballpark. These answers are badly written, but just know that they are guidelines; if you feel you wrote something along the lines of the answers shown, likelihood you got credit for it. There may be some errors, as this is off my head, not the sheet - but it should give you an idea.

na Stinger got 27, a mark bar must have been duplicated, and then I added TTK based on the correct marks. This is a mess, sorry nugs. A weak way to repay you for tinkering with emotions, but I will post the answers to the quiz soon, something I tend not to do.

you must be insane

lmao looks like you do win

I realise I forgot to close the form. Therefore, even if your entry was submitted after I locked this thread, so long as it was submitted before the 21st, it will still count.
-
My computer's drive is screwed, but I will still be able to get the marks in for next issue, even if the format is less than desirable (although one of my nug colleagues will likely deal with that) On that note, closed! Good luck.
-
To be honest, he should be.

12 responses marked. Not bad, people, not bad.

It's not too late - it's only based on time if the scores are even. At this moment in time, there aren't that many entrants, as people need to find the time to do it. Give it a go, people.

You didn't do that, in fairness; just something I forgot to mention.

I guess that is the limitation of Google Forms. http://prntscr.com/dso2ds - I find this is an effective way.

Results [Issue 61] Nawledge: The Grades
Remaine replied to Remaine in [Issue 61] Nawledge: The Grades Newspaper Archive
Greetings, nugs. I have managed to mark your papers in time for this issue, and I've got to say, I'm not disappointed. It was blatantly obvious some candidates worked together to complete this, but I never said that wasn't allowed, did I? Perhaps I've spent too much time around you people... I chuckled at some of the less genuine answers - don't expect them to be counted, however. Regarding boundaries: KING - 50/50 A* - 45/50 A - 38/50 B - 31/50 C - 24/50 D - 17/50 E - 10/50 The grades: Incohorent, or not genuine answers according to me were not marked. Unfort. Bearing those in mind... We have our winners! 1st place = 40,000 crystals - beaku 2nd place = 35,000 crystals - saurabhmann 3rd and 4th place = 30,000 crystals - electrolux1 and Anonono 5-10th place = 10,000 crystals - marc.jp_44, Savage, xtremus, TheBlackChink, Freezanator, TTK_229 If you acheived the same mark as one of these candidates, but are in a different position (or not in a position), then simply put, our lesser factor, time, played a role. I did mention this in the previous issue's OP, but if you are mad, I hope you get as mad as you can possibly be, so you get the most out of being mad! It will, however, fall on deaf ears. Do as you will, my dudes. On that note, I'm out. Peace. -
^ his combination. Should probably mention that you cannot discuss answers here.

[Issue 60] [Contest] Nawledge
Remaine replied to Remaine in [Issue 60] [Contest] Nawledge Newspaper Archive
...hmm, back for a short spell. That's pretty cool, if I do say myself. Anyways, welcome to the Nawledge contest thread! This contest isn't new to you readers; in fact, I have previously hosted three previous batches in the form of "So... you think you know a lot about Tanki Online?" - that name is tacky, however, so I opted to go much more hipster. You're welcome. This batch is simply going to be a wall of questions, no sections and that; it's got a bit of maths in there, some general Tanki Online nawledge questions, and some subjectivity, you know the deal. However, the questions will not offer more than 2 marks; there are only so many hours in the day. Not gonna lie to you guys, this will most likely be the final batch - however, it isn't the hardest of the four, so don't fret! However, it does have more questions than the other three batches. will continue these trivia contests in the future, and has already begun to do so, in his contest, notable for its exaggerated name "The Biggest, Meanest Quiz Ever!" - I bet he'll go easy on you nugs though; he is one of you, after all. Loyal readers know what to expect at this point, but for our newbies: The form below will consist of 42 questions that are to be answered, with 34 1-mark questions and 8 2-mark questions. You are free to use tools such as the Wiki, V-LOGs and the forum to help you - you're going to need them. Feel free to skip ones that stump you, since you do not need full marks to win. However, this should speak for itself, but bearing in mind the common sense of some people here, I'll say it anyway: you're probably going to want to answer all of them. Quite simple; the users with the top marks will win! I will be crediting the highest-scoring 10 people for their efforts, and as for the rest of you, refer to this: In the case of identical scores up top, time will come into play - although it isn't as important, it still matters, to some extent, unfortunately.Regarding marks: For 2 mark questions, you're going to want to make 2 points, or a clear comparison, to receive maximum credit. The quality of your answer is massively important when it comes to these questions - if you think you're being too detailed, you're not! In certain questions, just like the current exams in real life, key words and phrases may be required to get the mark. You want to be explicit in your tone. Write whatever you think is relevant though, you may very well get credited for it! Don't jump on a tangent, otherwise you're on your way to zero marks. For questions involving numbers, you've got to show your working out. Just posting the answer gets you one mark. Regarding boundaries: KING - 50/50 A* - 45/50 A - 38/50 B - 31/50 C - 24/50 D - 17/50 E - 10/50 Boundaries that those in education will recognise, give or take - I can forgive the generally low grades for the third batch, since the questions were very difficult, but if you are dedicated to this game, and you don't get at least a B in this variant, you need to brush up on your knowledge. That's my challenge to you, if anything. Get at least a B - do yourself proud, and more importantly, me. This batch is honestly not that difficult. Regarding prizes: Let's not sugarcoat it here, you guys want the numbers. Fair enough, I guess. 1st place = 40,000 crystals 2nd place = 35,000 crystals 3rd and 4th place = 30,000 crystals 5-10th place = 10,000 crystals However, if the scores are reminiscent of the third batch, I will have no remorse in cutting the rewards by as much as 50%. If you're going to do it, do it well, people. I wish there was a way I could punish the lowest scorer - but alas, it isn't to be. Regarding time: You have until the 20th of January to do this from right when you see this - that should be enough time for you. I would set a time for the form to open, but I already know I'm gonna forget to open it. Regarding me: Do not contact me on Skype or PM about this - I will blank you. Everything you need to know has been explained, so you're good to go. Regarding the form: You will need a Google account to answer these questions. Go ham: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScqSoCIdzIYoui-mqmZRWQdcJDtFzCWPeKiK6Erk-feBvXTJg/viewform And with that, good luck!- 46 replies

Interview [Issue 55] Meet The New Reporter: Tweezers
Remaine replied to Remaine in [Issue 55] Meet The New Reporter: Tweezers Newspaper Archive
Oh look, an article! That aside, in this article, we're interviewing @tweezers, someone who burst onto the scene not too long ago, but has still established himself as a quality writer, as proven by his pieces in both the Amateur Writing section and the Tanki Online Newspaper - you'll get to know more about him in this short, concise interview. Greetings, Tweezermult - let's get the basics out of the way. Tell us a bit about yourself! Tell us about yourself- Well, To start off, I'm 16 years old, and right now I'm in 11th grade. I live in Kandy, Sri Lanka. If you want to stalk find me, you can usually catch me cycling, acting or drooling over some ancient car. Acting? That's quite enthralling - any productions in particular that stand out to you? Well, I haven't done all that many, but the latest one we did, 'Twelfth Night' by ol' Shakey was really quite good (even with me being cast as a female role.GG). Then there was also 'Beauty is a Beast', a play that's not all that well known but is very satisfying to do, if you have the right crew for it. Perhaps I'll check it out! Moving back onto Tanki, what is your combination of choice? Hornet - Thunder - Storm is bliss. That all? Tell me why so mult Well, that combo is one that I've stuck to since I was a lickle nug back in the day. Hornet was the first M1 I bought, and Thunder was the second. Hornets speed and better-armour-than-Wasp pair well with Thunders splash damage and sheer force, and it makes for gameplay which requires a bit of planning. Storm. . .well basically, I bought it the moment it unlocked, love the Fire protection to bits, and I'm too lazy to change it :P psh, Hornet M2... surely you can't have been playing the game for too long, right? Right? RIGHT? I joined somewhere around mid-2012 I think, so that makes it around 4 and a half years. (I don't battle all that much, as you can see from my rank. I prefer flooding chatting) Not saying a word... What's your favourite aspect of the Reporter position? Being able to hang out with other people who like writing, and helping out in the Amateur Writers Section. How would you describe your writing style? Well, basically what I try to do is write something that pulls the reader in and makes them want to read on. So dramatic, with a rather large helping of suspense on the side. And there you have it! We'll look forward to more articles from @tweezers in the future! Lest we forget, you can suggest ideas for articles on this thread: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=218911 Conversely, if you feel you have what it takes to join us, check out this thread: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=319499- 12 replies
