I am currently a beta tester for Tanki X. In my experience with an extremely low-spec computer rigging, the game can not get past 18 FPS on Very Low graphics, which is nigh but unplayable. I am unaware if this is a side-effect of the automatic graphic settings or the lack in optimization. On Tanki Online, with the lowest graphics possible, I can achieve an FPS of 60 under less than optimal conditions. This leaves Tanki Online as a clear superior to the newer of the games simply because of my ability to play it. A graphically inferior game is always better than a beautiful piece of glorified Unity art. Regardless, The lowest graphics settings available still include several unnecessary graphical features, such as particle effects and dramatic lighting. I have also found that the immense amounts of animated forestry is contributing to my lack of frames. Personally, I would find it extremely helpful to make manual control over independent graphical settings available to players, as well as being able to toggle the animations associated with the tress and bushes, if at all possible. All in the name of frames, of course.

Kits aren't even that bad when you consider what buyers can do with Micro Upgrades. M3 Dictator/Rico at 1st Lieutenant. M2 Smoky/Titan before Warrant Officer 1. It's insane. Theoretically, you can have M1 Hunter/Twins at recruit, if you're that dedicated to always having gear superiority.

I'd just like to say that the sniper mode plays better with the mouse controls. The very fact that you can look around your laser location with the Right Mouse Button grants a mouse user superior awareness and tactical options. The problem is that mouse controls in general will sometimes become unresponsive, slow, or jerky. This only occurs every other game, but its still a rather annoying quirk. I actually only started using mouse controls on Shaft at first because of the bugged keyboard controls. Once you went into sniper mode, the turret would sometimes start going up until you hit the 'Up' key. The remedy is quick, but it left you feeling insecure when going to sniper mode. You aren't sure if you're able to make a quick snipe successfully. Mouse controls don't have this issue, so in the interest of weapon reliability and functionality, I switched over to the tactically advanced mouse controls.

How to respond to any insult, taunt, complaint, etc in chat

Does the axaxa mean anything, or is it really just spam? -
You have labeled this as a general guide to defending, but this is clearly a "How to defend with Viking and Dictator" guide. I would suggest either asking for a name change or adding in Titan and Mammoth to the mix. You also only give pointers of how to defend with certain turrets. What if I want to defend with a Twins? I would either point out what your recommend defending turrets are in the intro and stick to those, or I would span out and do each and every turret. The format is a bit messy. You can easily fix this with clever use of font color, underlining, and noticeable spacing(which you do use). It really is hard for the eyes to distinguish between sections and it jumbles into a string of text. If you want to go all the way with this, some pictures defining the defending positions would go a long way. The information on here is fine as is, though, and is definitely better than some other "guides".

I encourage the use of less mainstream combinations. While I would agree that Titan/Railgun isn't the most optimal combo, it certain has a niche in semi-mobile camping against medium and short range targets. Against other rails and shafts, Titan/Rail has no purpose, being killed just as quickly as a Dictator but sacrificing lots of speed. So if anything, get a decent Rail/Shaft paint at some point, as those will give you the most trouble. (Provided the map size is decent and you team is doing their jobs. If you get overrun, you're pretty much a sitting duck.) That said, I bid you good luck!

I feel like the press could do a topic on it. Might get to more people.

I don't think "diverse battles" are gone at all. People use lots of different types equipment, from what I've seen. It would be easier to compare this if I knew what you were talking about when you said "diverse". And clans are definitely not gone, at least not the M2 ones. Its not hard to schedule one currently. People's mindsets are what kills gameplay. "Oh, I need x amount crystals so I can get x gun, so I should stop having fun and grind all day just to get it." Nah. I'm still having fun. I'm being diverse. I'm not grinding like a slave for something that is supposed to be fun. If its not fun, I'm not going to be bothered to play it.

If you could fully Micro Upgrade any Turret/Hull, what would it be?

Smoky/Wasp, hands down. -
Review [Issue 36] What makes a i3rilliant username?
Pallidium replied to Remaine in Newspaper Archive
While this is my main account, I have most intensively been using the account "The_Smoky_Project", an account where I only use Smoky/Wasp M1. I've been MUing it so that I can use it all the way to Colonel. -
Story [Issue 36] The Story Behind the Colors: Swash

The Story Behind the Colors A Tanki Online Original Series The music made it feel like a movie! Awesome! Normally I would pass things like this up, but the music really made it entertaining! Kinda like a bait into the story. -
The part about having Bandicam is great. I personally have it running as well, mostly for screenshot purposes.

In a close game, push etiquette out the window. The win will grant everyone else higher reward in the long run. I understand this, though. I've seen some people be really mad when someone would take my flag that I died with and cap it. After being in Clan battles and such, I've not had as a near selfish view on team battles. Bettering the team is more efficient than bettering your personal score, IMO. A humble win can still have more reward than a selfish, Rambo loss. Then again, selfish, Rambo wins are the best.

Wouldn't exposing the side that has less protection make you more vulnerable? Wouldn't it make more sense to show the heavily armored front by driving forward?

I am attempting to use a Wasp/Smoky combo all the way to Colonel using nothing but MUs in an alternate account called "The_Smoky_Project" (WO3 at the time of this post). By my maths, if I only upgrade HP for my hull and damage/reload speed for my turret, I should only be spending roughly 2x the price of a straight modification, but I'm hoping this will be counter-balanced by the fact that I am not spending crystals on anything else by MUs on two pieces of gear. At the Warrant Officer ranks, it is really easy to beat down on people. Like, really easy. You're the fastest thing out there and you do a heck of a lot of damage to the many light tanks at these ranks. I'm really just worried about how I will fare out with the Major ranks...

Wait... I just realized this was a bump and that the OP is probably not even still around. Welp. -

I'm not even sure how this would be implemented and who would use it. Tanks go around buildings just fine as is without the tank having to be vulnerable on both sides. What about camera controls? Cameras don't go through walls and would make a weird jerky motion every time you changed. You can only use it 10 times in a battle? Why? After 10 times, does it just stop working? After 10 uses, it is now a Wasp with less HP, but is still slower than a Wasp. Why does it require that you have taken damage to work? This makes it so that I can not be sneaky. I have to have conflict at some point for my split to work. If you have a flag and you split, where does the flag go? Is the laser going into the building? Because I feel like this could work just as well high powered magnets. If you have a flag turret and you split, where does the flag turret go? -
Crystal gain can not accurate be measured by the kinds of weapons you have. As long as you use the correct modification, you should be able to produce currency as fast as you normally would. That said, I think you should probably focus on only a few turrets/hulls at a time in order to save up the cash for other modifications. Because of this, long term you may have more luck with 2 or 3. If are able to obtain an M2 Freeze, Rico, Hornet and Viking on your main account, however, you should be good to go (Smoky is not nessasry if you already have Rico, but I prefer it. Both do almost the same job.). For the 2nd one, I would not advise buying both Wasp and Hornet. Having 2 light hulls as your only hulls is arbitraty, unless you simply plan to use the Hornet for XP and use Wasp the rest of the time. (MUing Wasp is definately worth it. I have an entire WO3 account devoted to Smoky/Wasp. It rekts face.). If this is not the case, I would try investing in either Viking or Hunter for use in defence and shorter maps in exchange for one of the two light hulls. 3 would work exceptionally well, as Hunter works for everything and Thunder is an insanely good gun against the massive amounts of light-hulls in the lower ranks. Getting Hunter/Thunder at WO4 would last you easily by itself into the M2 ranks. I would honestly say not to get Mammoth for anything serious other than a stepping stone to Hunter. (Although, at M2, you are better with Titan.). Just remember to make whatever you do fun! Even if its not the most 'efficient' way to play, it could be really fun! (Twins/Wasp :P)

I put both in seperately with similar results. I'm not sure what the other command is.

"Console var not found: cam_vspeed" was the response I got after using the command.

Its an experimental update. It will be changed back.
-
I like this update, if only for the increase of speed for the up and down camera controls. Being able to switch from top-down view to low-down back view in a split second is immensely helpful. I am just going to assume that all of the negativity to this update is just because people are not used to it and do not want to get used to it, specifically the people using keyboard controls (of whom I am also). I do agree, however, that it does need to at least be tweaked. The camera controls speed increase is a God send. The turret-turning camera increase, however, feels a bit off. Your turret becomes off-center while turning making it harder to know exactly where your pointing. All it does is move your camera out in front of the turret. Once it reaches its limit, it returns to the old speed, just off-center. My take on this update would be to keep the new camera control speed for up-down view, but disable the turret camera speed while using keyboard controls. For using mouse controls, use the new camera speed for both turret and up-down.

I am in full support for this campaign. Everything listed in the OP is a result of someones personal selfishness and/or poor sportsmanship. Let's make being a jerk as hard as possible!

I don't understand the mentality of a mult. You play the game to have fun, correct? In what world is running through the annoyance of loading up mulitiple accounts just for an easy win fun? Why not just, I dunno... get better at the game? I don't require mults because I am confident in my ability to earn them. Instead of giving up and saying, "I'll never be able to progress because I'm not good enough. Might as well cheat my way in", people should actively attempt to progress their abilities til they are able to actually compete with confidence of a decent sum after a battle. Or, DM. Heck, use your mults to battle lower accounts and play with your own skill level. I also created a new account called The_Smoky_Project. I've yet to notice multing to any large extent. The fact is, I'm able to easily make up for one or even two missing players at lower ranks. The real low rank horror? Shaft. I also do not believe that Tanki is in support for mults/sabateurs. It has been brought up already in the V-Log that they are working on a new and improved kick system. This is to be one of the last things implemented into the Flash version of Tanki.

This is by definition impossible. In order to rebalence the game correctly, you have to please everyone. In my opinion, true balencing is something pepole make up. The Tier 1 and Tier 2 system of old would not be considered balenced now, but at the time, it was the way the game worked.
