Funniest combos... Anything with a vaccu... I mean a freeze. I have no idea why that gun looks like that. Anything with a Dictator. However, rail looks okay, kind of. Any turret except thunder/twins looks ridiculous on mammoth. Thunder and twins just look vaguely stupid. Shaft wasp. What the heck? rico wasp. That just isn't right either. Hornet shaft, on the other hand, looks good, like some sort of assault gun. Hornet actually is the best looking hull in the game with most guns, because the turrets are neither too large or too small for it. Hornet thunder and viking thunder actually look like they might be cartoon distortions of real tanks. Rico looks sort of ridiculous, but it doesn't resemble a vacuum cleaner, and feels more sci-fi then plain stupid, like freeze. My appreciation of turret beauty may have been subconciously affected by the million drugger freeze noobs that invariably join the other team in any CTF I play. Anything with Mary paint. For that matter, a lot of the brightly or strangely colored paints are pretty dumb, and show up on my screen saying "Hey, shoot me first!".

No. Drugs should be allowed in some battles. No supplies battles should be free and common, and the pot should increase much faster in them(because more kills/pot happens faster in drug battles) so crystal earnings per time are the same speed in both.

Which is your most hated situation in a battle?

Everyone knows that the most annoying things in tanki are: 1. Freeze in CTF. Thoroughly OP and ruin gameplay if the other team has one, and if they have more than one, you might as well give them your crystals and leave. 2. Drugger buyers that steal a pot you worked 2 hrs for. This topic should be shut, and a petition to remove freeze from the game should be started immediately. Just kidding. But the freeze effect should not last beyond when the freeze stops shooting you and it should be much less the rest of the time. -
I don't understand. Was anyone expecting a proper sale after crystal sales AND a rebalance? Wouldn't this violate the fundamental principle of tanki's operation? I guess people just don't get it... Saving my crystals, saving my crystals... Because someday I want a wasp. comeandetit2

Third. [EDIT] OK, someone beat me too it. Not so much third. I hope it works, but what I think we need is a better way to make sure the bad players get banned in the first place. The problem isn't that people are banned too long. I think the problem is all the mults/haters never get banned in the first place. Currently, the only ways to report someone are to: 1. Use the /vote playername, and hope a mod shows up and does something about it. In my entire tanki career this has never worked once. 2. Take screen recording, play with it on(this will reduce fps, and 'free' screen recording software isn't necessarily good for your computer) and send the video of the mult/player to this forum. Could this game have some sort of an in-game reporting system, where instead of the /vote playername command, that has never solved a problem for me, we just maybe select the name of the player, and the system automatically records their behavior and recent chats for a mod to look at later? The mod could look at their behavior, and if it was repeated friendly fire, or pushing friendly snipers off, or blocking people with the enemy flag, or posting lots of inapproriate things or whatever, it could be easily verified and the apporpriate ban handed down. This system would mean that: 1. People would very rarely, if ever be banned for something they didn't do. Assuming the mods do their job, all bans would be correct. 2. Mults/haters would be banned. People would start reporting them, because instead of almost no chance something would be done about it, there would be a very high chance that player would be banned. This would really improve gameplay. 3. Mults/haters would die out. Accurate, quick, and universal reporting means that they would quit trying, or else not be able to except in noob accounts, because their higher accounts will be banned if they mult This would result in the bad players, haters, and mults actually getting banned. And they would die out almost completely because their behavior could be easily verified. [EDIT] Wait, so permaban can never happen now? Oh NO....

I started tanki, on my main, a couple months before rebalance. Since then the devs have repeatedly made this game worse. First there was: rebalance. Then the infamous 211. TThen microupgrades. Then another rebalance of shaft, twins, rico, etc. Then this. Except for maybe rebalance, none of these updates improved game play at all. These were not done with the players in mind. They were done to force buyers to pay more money to maintain their top equipment. For instance, pre re-balance, buyers(and non-buyers too, I miss my M3 : ( ) could and did get a full M3 garage. Problem is, once the buyers bought themselves all the best hulls/guns, they stopped buying. Well, instead of just waiting for new players, or advertising the game too attract new players, the tanki devs had a plan. They did "rebalance". Now all the crystals from the M3s... would hardly get you a good post-rebalance M-3 combo, if even that. Well, tanki devs must have been right. Having been ripped off by rebalance, the buyers promptly bought more crystals to buy the new "OP guns". Then 211. Someone noticed after 211, maybe because tanks killed faster/moved faster, that it was possible for non-buyers to rank up and earn crystals still. Not very easily, but that wasn't going to happen. Not on a tanki dev's watch! So they nerfed the economy to make it extremely difficult to earn enough crystals to get the guns as you ranked up. Basically, to force people to buy to be able to afford more than one gun, or even just that one gun. Eventually, due to the extremely slow rate of progress and widespread complaining(don't say it never works) tanki fixed this a little bit. Then Microupgrades. Microupgrades at M3 can take days to occur. Fully upgrading an M3 would take months of straight muing, no playing (playing to earn the crystals for MUing would have to be done with another gun, which players pretty much have to buy...). So from here on out I am assuming that players at M3 always use speedups. Fully upgrading an M3 costs millions of crystals. Yet, since it existed, a few players used the MUs, forcing many others to buy crystals to be able to be competitive even, much less retain that buyer equipment dominance. Once again: tanki makes it harder to be competitive to force more people to buy or previous buyers to buy again. Then these recent rebalances: Buyers/players buy the guns that are currently OP. So tanki massively changes the game. Most people can't afford to buy the new OP gun, so they either have to play with a less OP gun OR pay real money. The repeat buyers get ripped off yet again, as they rush to buy cry to buy the new OP guns. The other nonbuyer players are screwed. The pattern is this: Devs change game. Players accomodate game by buying new "OP" guns, hulls, etcetera. Devs update game to make their equipment worthless(new guns are "OP"). Players buy new "OP guns"... But they have to buy crystals to do it. If you don't like these updates, consider what happens when you pay for them. It just makes the next "update" more likely. The purpose of these updates is not improving the game, it is to make money. I think this game is dying. When a noob joins, they know they won't get to generalisimo. Usually, they get stuck in the high warrant officer rate it seems, based on the player rank/battle distribution. There seem to be noob-> warrant officer and generalisimo, with less and less in between. This game is dying as a result of these updates. And I won't miss it much anymore. Ok, say we are going from top of the map to the next platform down. I thought we were going from base of map to top of tower, but whatever. The top of Rio to the platform below it(One of the rings around the skyscraper would be the next lowest platform) is still less distance the Esplanade pinnacle to the platform it is on. Not that it matters though, I just think it is strange that they would get it wrong.

Skill in this game... All the skills u need to play in this game any 8 year old has. The rest is how much money you waste on a browser game, and how many years of your life you spend playing. The only actual strategy is flanking noobs. and of course, calculating that moment to steal the kill with rail/thunder. Which is much harder with rail, which tanki has basically nerfed to the point of no return.

You would be amazed at what enough people with too much time and money and drugs can do. I bet some massive team gets it. I see a couple ways to attack, but they aren't easy. And they would take a lot of people. Good luck, comeandgetit2 p.s. If u figure out how, please invite me to be part of the team : )

Rio: not the highest building?
comeandgetit2 replied to comeandgetit2 in Rio: not the highest building? Archive
So, in the video posted the other day, I think the Russian dev (Is the guy in the video Semyon?) said that Rio had the highest building in Tanki Online. After a bit of research, I don't think this could be the case. Esplanade is another map with a flat bottom ground level. The highest pinnacle in Esplanade is significantly higher above the base of the map than the top of the skyscraper in Rio. I suspect Abyss has a much higher building as well, although in Abyss it is kind of hard to define the "bottom" of the map. Anyone with a timer, or even the little bar above isida, and basic trig knowledge can prove this. Am i missing something? Thanks, comeandgetit2 -
Yeah... really shallow one in the crash/gallery(removed)/rio series of maps. Standard 45 degree angle ramp in just about every map. Shallower in between ramp you see sometimes. Textured ramps or curves such as Hill/combe/etc. Another sort of low angle ramp onto the iron girder bridges and the concrete bridges, ie Bobruisk, 2042, etc. Not to mention the "speedbumps" in these new maps. Crash was one of the best maps ever.
