Well, upgrades are costly, but worth it. i had LOTS of trouble getting a decent amount of crystals in battle until i got the shaft gun, so if you dont have it already, you should save up for it. it's still a good gun even though som people say that its useless after the rebalance and you dont have to play really hardcore to get lots of crystals, i got 600 from my daily gift one time, so just log on every know and then and ya might get lucky. hope this has helped :)

If it had lots of speed and HP, that would be super overpowered, and a grenade launcher seems allot like thunder. so i don't think they should add this.

well, there is no 'best' it really depends on your playing style, each turret and hull has its own pros and cons.

I like shaft+mammoth, but i normally use that combo when sniping, if i want to get in the action i use viking or dictator, and maybe twins or freeze.

freeze is not as OP as you think it is, you can't use it from far away, which means you could easily be taken out by a shaft or rail if they had enough power, and there are plenty of paints that give you quite allot of freeze protection. so, basicly if you don't allow one to sneak up on you then your fine.
