Remaine once mentioned that having the ability to like or dislike a post was essential in conveying our opinions about posts made by players. I'm not saying I would run around disliking posts, but I think that the forums have turned soft if no one will experience what it was like to see a negative number in all red.

I find that the new design appears more like a social media interface than an actual forum.

What's up with players at M2+ ranks who have M0s and a handful or M1s (at best)?

As someone who did stick with M1s for the most part of my time playing this game, I believe I can vouch for most of the players who still use M0s and M1s at the ranks in which they are supposed to be rocking M2s. To add a bit more to this, the very first M2 I purchased was when I reached Major, and that was back in about 2014. Now there is a variety of reasons why a player may be unable to purchase M2s at the designated ranks that they are supposed to get them, but just like the user above said: it's most likely an old player from back when it was nearly impossible to get M2s unless you really grinded and worked for them or you always had a good streak of games. During the time when I was in the Lieutenant ranks (early 2014), most of my games were infested with players who were P2W and had overpowered kits and a boatload of supplies to use in their arsenal. Unfortunately for me, I always ended up on the opposing team, which pretty much made it difficult to earn crystals since they, the P2W players, would win by a huge margin and take most of the fund. It was fun playing against them and to try and beat them, but the key factor in determining who would win was who had the stronger tanks- even if you are "highly skilled," you cannot win against these players because they simply needed to press the magic numbers (234) and go ham on attacking. The only other method we could gain crystals were through daily missions, but it was still a challenge to complete them. Outplaying other players mostly occurs in the high ranks, and that's because there is nearly no difference in tanks anymore--everyone has M3s. That being said, it was not difficult saving up crystals. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it takes time for these players to earn these crystals. Specially now, where their tanks are living in the past, it's no longer possible to catch up with modern day Tanki. In today's Tanki, earning crystals longer that big of a challenge because the game literally spoon-feeds players everything they can get to have a decent garage by whatever rank they are in. I believe if the game had containers, cosmetics, and other bunch of goodies five years ago, the game would have been more, "alive" today so to speak. Alternatively, there is also another reason why these players cannot catch up on getting M2s - they could simply be casual players just playing with no goal nor objective in mind. They're just here for fun, and do not care at all about being all competitive in their garage. -
Tanki from the perspective of someone who has not played in a while

Speaking of teamwork, I do miss those battles in Silence where a wasp would nab the flag and just jump off the cliff. If their health was low they would simply press F mid-air, and have a teammate wait for the flag down below. This may not be as impressive or a wow moment like the games high ranks or even "pro" players have, but it was indeed something. Also miss the usual Freeze/Mammoth and Isida/Mammoth combo usually camping and defending a flag, surrounded by a minefield. Those were the days. Thank you, I appreciate it. I will admit, I cannot adapt to the game now because I am quite resistant towards change. That doesn't mean that others cannot enjoy it though. Also, the game has always been P2W from the start, and I've accepted it since. It was just a matter of "to what extent" is the game a P2W. Either way, the game is enjoyable for anyone willing to put in the effort and grind for a stronger garage. -

QUICK WARNING: THIS CAN BE A LONG READ Hello everyone, My name is Klankill804, and I wanted to share a story about my mini adventure with the game, after all these years. (Some quick background) I have been playing since 2011, and I do remember discovering the game through Miniclip at the time. Two years later, I joined the forum, and have been an active member and player up until late 2014, where I began to slow down on playing. I occasionally, checked the forums every now and then, but that's only because I wanted to catch up on my old friends through PM, just to see what they were up to. Friday evening last week, I stumbled upon Tanki on Steam, while I was chilling and just looking at some Free To Play games. Out of curiosity, I wanted to try the game out and to see what's been going on since the last time I have played. To put this into perspective, the most prominent updates I remember prior to unintentionally moving on to other games were the rebalance, the changes in supply boxes, and the removal of crystal boxes. Since then, I have been a complete stranger to all the new updates that they have released. That all changed a couple of days ago, however. Suffice to say, I am completely mind-blown by what I've missed out on. I've decided to organize my ideas into parts, because I do have quite a bit of things to talk about. PART 1: FIRST GAME BACK TL;DR for this section: Essentially, there was a lot of changes, and I felt that it was impossible for the state of main account to catch up to everyone else. Think of it as someone who has been cryogenically frozen, not knowing what new inventions has been shown to the world. So, I decided that the best thing to do was to recover my original account, and begin the game once again, this time as a "new" player. PART 2: BEGINNING AGAIN TL;DR FOR THIS SECTION: Plenty of changes, and I believe that all of these changes make it quite easy for anyone in the lower ranks to be able to develop their garage properly, with all of these things given at our disposal. Now, let's talk about the future, and to conclude my feelings about the game after all this time. PART 3: THE FUTURE TL;DR FOR THIS SECTION: I believe that the game is really improving in terms of how it works, and how it's letting the players properly develop this time around, by giving them the power to compete against a few of the more overpowered players. Still though, problems arise because of the unbalanced tanks, etc. They should base matchmaking off of GS, not ranks. To conclude, Love the direction the game is going towards, but as always, there will be bumps on the road. I love how it's giving new and low ranked players the ability to improve their skills and garages by giving them everything they need to succeed, but at the same time the problems still arise when these players are forced to play against buyers. This changes in the high ranks however, but still, it can be a bit of a pain for these players to gain the upper hand against the more overpowered tanks. Essentially, I used to love this game because of the adrenaline it gave me, and how anything can really happen in a game. Nowadays, it's mostly the team with more P2W players who win most games. Still, a game can only be as fun as you make it. Thank you for reading (even if you only read the TLDRs, I understand), and I hope your day is filled with gold boxes. P.S if there's still any old players, how's it going guys. Wow I wrote quite a bit. Guess I got carried away.- 19 replies

Even with low settings to play in the map, your computer will struggle to play in that map because it is quite a big map, and your computer has to render quite a lot of things before you can even play properly. My advice? Don't play in the map if you keep crashing. Since Tanki is based off of Flash and it's a browser game, you will keep crashing because there is literally no setting to edit the render distance the game has. It's the only way to fix it. Also, if you play in Fullscreen, don't. Play in windowed mode and reduce the resolution of your game by making the screen smaller to improve performance and capability of your computer.

I created a topic with the same name back then. Don't know what happened to it. Then I realized it was in the archives because it turned dead. Anyway, I'm doing my homework right now and I swear, I'm getting grey hair at such an early age. Alright, let's begin. So, what is your dream rank? A rank that you have been working for. A rank that only you find special. State this dream rank of yours below, and why it is your dream rank. I'll start. My dream rank is Field Marshall because it has the word Marshall with the word Field along it. See? Quite simple isn't it? Now! Your turn! Oh, and if I feel like it (or have time) I'll come back and set up a poll. The rank with the most votes will be called "Cool Kids Rank" because only the cool kids have it.

So, when you buy a video card, no matter which company, (AMD or Nvidia) you will end up with a free recorder. With Nvidia, you get Shadowplay. With AMD you get Game DVR. I have an AMD card, and Game DVR is great. Both are the same, but Shadowplay just tends to be...better
