Each tandem is allowed one long-range gun (Thunder or Railgun) and one medium-range gun (Twins or Rico). Each tandem is allowed one medium hull (Hunter or Viking) and one light tank (Wasp or Hornet). I would guess from watching this tandem that Disconnect will use Hornet Rail and VK will use Rico Viking. The tandems are being drawn tomorrow, so yes, that should give them a chance to choose combos and decide strategy.
