  1. Was thinking the same, however after claiming the weekly reward on Friday, I couldn't even muster enough motivation to go on for another week hoping for a final big reward. Mission chain's now broken and feeling great about it :lol:.

    Back in February 2014 when product kits were a rather new thing and micro upgrades had just been introduced and weren't yet used widely (was a different game really), I got a kit with my dream combo rail m3 + hornet m3 when at the lowest possible rank (Brigadier I think). That combo was just massively overpowered for that rank, ending battles with a K/D of >7 without supplies was normal for a while..

    Nice summary. In my view things were going quite alright up to 2015. A massive screw-up back then was linked to the start of Tanki X development. First all accounts were meant to be moved (as officially communicated), then they changed their mind without telling this to the community. Real PR disaster and big blow in credibility. Thereafter, there has been a series of ill-conceived updates, including changes like the infamous Battle button, not allowing daily missions in PRO battles, removing English or German servers (slap in the face of non-Russian community), etc. What these updates all have in common is that none of them actually made the game more fun to play, pretty disastrous for a casual browser game like TO. And it seems to continue in this vein: the dreaded matchmaking will make sure nobody can cut any corners when completing daily missions - they really want to make players suffer.. :P Of course, all these unpopular changes are sold as "we have to change the game to ensure it survives, don't worry, we're getting there and things will be great again". Pretty laughable - don't believe for one second the Devs actually know where this is going and everything is proceeding as planned. They seem rather clueless, desperate of keeping this game alive..

    As you're a member since Jan 2017, I guess you haven't played before this update..? Before that, there used to be much more diversity, as for each turret/hull the rank at which a certain m level would unlock was different. See graph below for when turrets would become available. There was always some nice new equipment to look forward to when reaching a higher rank. This was another ill-conceived update that made the game more monotonous and less fun..

    Another suggestion: different turrets have different maximum damage rates (DPS), so the theoretical maximum amount of EP/hour is inherently different for the various turrets..For instance, max DPS of Rail m4 (300 hitpoints per sec) is lower than Thunder m4 (367 DPS) and much lower than Twins m4 (774 DPS). So another interesting stat could be if you "normalised" the calculated EP/hour for each turret. For instance, if max DPS of turret A is twice as high than turret B, you should multiply the EP/hour of turret B with 2 in order to really compare your performance with those turrets. This is assuming most of your EP come from kills - in case you play as a caper with some of the turrets, it might skew those stats. Btw I don't think 1000 EP/hour with Rail is that bad, since you're not drugging a lot..

    Gabe, I think it'd be better if you removed this player again, because this is obviously a glitch. It's not possible to use 1 double armour per second in the game. Also the other stats of the player show this is 100% certain not real. So please, don't betray the other heavy druggies on your list, who worked hard to get there, throwing money in the pit and pressing 1/2/3/4/5 like there's no tomorrow.. :lol:
  10. Your article quotes 5 player opinions on the system, out of which a single one is negative (20% :lol:). As you know perfectly well, that's not representative of public opinion in the EN community. Presenting it in this way is indeed highly manipulative, aimed at fooling readers into thinking the matchmaking test was fairly well received.
  11. It is sad such a highly biased article makes it into the EN newspaper. Pure propaganda really. Nice example of this is how you've chosen "opinions" of EN players: out of 5 players asked, 1 was openly negative. That's surely very representative, hardly anybody dislikes matchmaking in the community :lol:. You must have been desperate finding positive opinions, when a player like @RIDDLER_8, one of the biggest EN forum trolls, gets to state his opinion.. All in all, this shows how much is going wrong in TO..

    ++ Never understood why people taking the easy way to finish missions is such a big problem. Missions shouldn't be hard to accomplish, they're just a small incentive to enter the game every single day and play some. Before the recent set of bad updates like server merge and such, I used to quickly get rid of the missions and then join some other battles. Of course, staying after mission completion requires the game to actually be fun.. Also very much tempted to stop my mission chain after end of summer rewards. Matchmaking will come anyway with all it's crappy features, so not much point to continue. Mission rewards have anyway become a complete joke: got a mission ready to claim to get 4 mines and 4 armour.. Really an adequate reward for a Legend 19 player.. :lol:

    Clueless statement, just trolling I guess. There might be valid reasons for preferring matchmaking, but easing daily missions is certainly not among them. Actually, one goal of the devs with matchmaking is to make daily mission harder (no shortcuts anymore), which I consider a misconception (they're not supposed to be difficult, just an incentive to enter the game and play a bit each day). Hint how to do that mission: go to a server with few players, create a new CTF battle using the battle button (or join one with few players), invite a friend and cap 3 flags. Done in 2 min, i.e. about as long as you'll have to wait to enter a matchmaking battle.. :lol:

    TO should work out a change fully before letting the players suffer it. No surprise here, the same mistake has been made for many previous updates. Get it out half-working with many obvious problems, with maybe some (but not all) issues getting sorted later. Even when just considering ranks, matchmaking fails to achieve even rank distribution in the teams in many occasions (don't think it's only caused by the battlegroup feature).

    Really like this idea, which could easily be implemented. Unfortunately, it won't ever be done because Tanki wants players to drug heavily and spend crystals / real money on supplies, whether you like it or not.
