This would have made a lot more sense, which is why I think they were planning to remove the invincibility for some time and the gold box abuse made them take action. Well, I hope that was the reason :/ -
Yeah, viking OD doesn’t seem to be as good on short range turrets as it is for turrets like rail gun and magnum. I can usually do decent damage to firebirds and freezes before they kill me with the OD

The range nerf is worse than you probably think, more hunters are completely missing their ODs and even if you don’t, I’ve noticed it is harder to stun a group of tanks.

Fire and freeze are easier to attack with since you can strafe quite well with them. It takes skill to the same with isida (and to be fair, you probably need broadband alt to do it)

Exactly, at least you actually have a chance of surviving with the modulePlus you also get protection from other turrets with burning alts, so yeah, that’s another bonus

Fairly sure Rio is in MMAlthough now you mention it, I can barely remember the last time MM put me in Rio -
IMO it has become even better. It’s more stable now whilst viking has lost most of its stability (also has better acceleration than viking ). Each hull now has its own overdrive which get charged overtime (you can see them in the wiki). Hunter has an EMP that stuns all enemies for 3 seconds within 25m, removes their supplies and makes them drop a flag if they are holding one. So yes, I think it’s still worth using. Sorry if this a bit unclear, I’m not sure how long you haven’t played for.

It is definitely one of the stronger ODs but it’s really unbearable when coupled with booster (RGC magnum users come to mind...) The duration can be an issue too. Every so often, you join a battle where a hornet always seems to have their OD active and top easily -

Why is it so bad that a hunter can force you to drop a flag without killing? If anything, not dying gives you a small chance to steal the ball back (in rugby). Most complaints I see are about range or supply deactivation. -
It is a good combo, hunter gives you better stability which helps you keep aim when under fire but I think it's more to do with this combo being available in a kit (juggler kit). I see no reason why titan wouldn't be just as effective. From my experience hunter + rico isn't as common in M3 ranks so probably kit related?

This was in no supplies: This was when both of us had supplies: Not surprised to see 7 out of 8 players in a pro battle with fire bird modules (that poor twins was the only one without) :D

Ok noob question here How is the burn damage from smoky's incendiary alteration affected by DA? When an enemy has no drugs and I don't have DD activated the damage is 300 per tick. Yet when the enemy has DA and I have DD the damage is 150 per tick. Not something that bothers me alot (still better than stock), just wondering...

It is indeed possible to flip yourself back up with smoky when you land on your side as a hunter

I improved my K/D from M2 to M4 ranks from around 1 to 1.33. It’s not really that important, it reflects more on what guns or play style you have. K/D improved when I was using smoky over isida but kills and xp went down. Also, drugging is almost a must for maintaining good kd. Are you upgrading modules? My survivability shot up after having 30% protections from guns that were killing me a lot.

That explains it ;) Not at allI meant the difference in equipment, not skill. Since he had fully upgraded m1s, there wasn’t that much of a difference as it turns out. Sorry, I didn’t word very well

If the problem is hunter shutting down an entire team, why not limit the OD so that only a max of 3 tanks can be stunned? Since hunters mostly stun 1-2 players at a time, it’s not that bad of a nerf and would stop an entire base being destroyed by just one tank. As for removing supplies, I really don’t think this makes hunters OD op IMO. Hornet’s makes a DA useless and Viking pretty much kills you regardless of what supplies you use. And they are not limited to 22m....
