A good rule is never spend crystals outside of a sale. You can maximize your profit, get that m2 rail, and get something else that's nice. Could you shed some light on my situation 2 above you? Well do you like isida or thunder more? For me, isida is boring and you rank up too fast. To have a good place on the battle scoreboard you typically have to be in battles for a long time. hornet m2, if you want it the most, get it. Do you want a hull or turret, that's the question. I would say go with a turret. But if you get hornet m2, you're set for a while in the hull department. This is my alt I'm actually a 2nd lieutenant. I see brigs that still use m2 hornet, so it's good. But m1 thunder is still good, and thunder is a great weapon. So do you want a turret or hull?
