I actually had forgotten about the speed boost... Over. Powered.

I know there can be mistakes, but it says very clearly in words, not stats, that it blocks all damage from wasps overdrive. Just seems a little wrong that it can completely block such a powerful bomb. I'd say they need to reduce the damage resistance to ~75%. The cool down is fine. Mammoth plus overdrive = easy flag capture, easy ball capture, and easy gold catches. If tanki simply reduced the resistance of it, or made it vulnerable to wasp's OD, Hunter's OD, and meteors, it might be O.K.

Yes. So it went from the worst hull in the game to the most overpowered insane hull in the game. That definitely seem like good balancing to me -_-
-
And then they will nerf it and then buff another. Then people will buy that one. Thank you for the statistic. How did you find that? Is it on Tanki wiki?
-
I checked the official overdrive stats on Tanki Wiki. Mammoth's OD actually completely blocks damage from the wasp's bomb, which seems ridiculous. At this point Mammoth's OD is the most powerful.

Let me just answer this with the words of someone who likes the update and supports it. In the words of Maf: "I spent 4 hours playing with Mammoth yesterday. Maybe it's a lot different and more balanced at M3 and lower, but with M4 getting golds and capping flags/balls has never been easier. It's insane!" Anything that can be activated every 2 1/2 minutes or so that makes you invulnerable, even while carrying a flag or ball, for 10 seconds affects the game balance negatively. That is a fact. Edit: And mind you, the two and one half is without any kills or earning points.

For all those saying that it is hard to catch a meteor gold by using overdrive... In a battle where 5 golds dropped, every single one was caught by mammoths using their overdrive. Mammoth's OD is OP.
-
Thank you :) No. Just no. Doesn't work.

By the time you drive over, there is a good chance the meteor will have already appeared. If you read my word choice, i chose it very carefully. "Drop time". So while the meteor is in the air. That's your opinion. Feel free to stick with it.

What world are you living in? The "I've been bribed by the Tanki Online developers to give only positive feedback" world? I tallied up the negative vs positive comments on the first 6 pages, doing my best to filter out multiple posts by a single person and unrelated posts. There are almost double the amount of comments against the update as there are comments for the update on those first six pages! And worst yet, there is no chance Tanki will listen to those comments that are against the update because it increases the desire of people to buy.

How To Catch A Cosmonautics Day Gold Box A comprehensive guide Catching a gold box that is hurtling towards the ground as a meteor and will destroy anything near the drop zone seems like a hard task. Right? Not a problem if you have the Mammoth's overdrive. With this outstandingly overpowered overdrive, you can stand right in the drop zone of that meteor and take the gold box without a scratch. Below are the steps to make sure you steal that gold box from the players that do it the right way. 1. Equip Mammoth via the Garage interface 2. Get your overdrive ready and under no circumstance use it to help your team in any way 3. When the gold box siren arrives, drive over to the drop zone 4. Press shift and activate your overdrive1 5. Stay right in the path of the meteor2 6. Watch as the notification pops up on the screen that you caught the gold box 7. Repeat steps 2-6 and you can catch hundreds of gold boxes 1The active time is plenty to encompass the entire drop time 2You will survive a direct meteor hit with your overdrive active And there you have it, a simple and easy way to steal the gold box from all the players who actually try to catch the gold box fairly3. 3Obviously they are the dumb ones for not abusing the overpowered-as-all-heck overdrive of mammoth, right? Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this unbiased guide. Have a nice week of stealing gold boxes. Snipe3000

Thank you Exactly my feelings. I loved making new friends by working together and sharing the overdrives. Now that is scrapped and now ODs are purely selfish. Totally agree. Nowadays if you don't use supplies, you will lose. @all: Thank you for your thoughts

Continuing what I said earlier, the tactical advantages of having all supplies activated on demand are far greater than that of these overdrives. When carrying a flag as a wasp, I do not wanna drop a bomb behind me while I am at 1 health and being shot at, I wanna get the repair kit from my overdrive. I, along with many other players, enjoyed the camaraderie that the old version of overdrives brought. On one of my lower accounts, I was playing in a Yorkshire MM match as Smoky and Wasp. I found a good teammate (another Smoky/Wasp combo) and shared my overdrives with him. After the match, I sent him a friend request and he accepted, so we played some more matches together and were a pretty good team. With the new overdrive system, the only team-based overdrives are titan (whose overdrive isn't very often used for team benefit), hornet, (whose team affect is involuntary), and dictator (whose affects are the same as pre-update). Wasp, Hornet, Hunter, Viking, and Mammoth all have overdrives that are only for personal use [Yes, I know. Hunter can be an exception in some cases]. This makes the game more self centered and less about the team as a whole. Those self centered overdrives are what is making this update receive the hate that it is. Well... that and the fact that some are way overpowered... *cough cough viking cough cough* If tanki were to make some of the hulls like Wasp, Hornet, Hunter, Viking, and Mammoth have some benefit to their teammates, I believe this update would be widely accepted with a few patches. A way to do this might be adding something different to Dictator, whose affect is the same as before, and adding supply activation to the others. It could even be changed so that different hulls give different supplies. Viking's OD could activate a double damage for any nearby teammates, Hornet's could activate a speed boost, Wasp's could activate one mine placement, Mammoth's could activate a Double Armor, and Hunter's could activate a repair kit. A simple change like this could make this update a lot more bearable. I know it would for me. Developers, I hope you consider this change. Players, Feel free to give any feedback on what I have said here.

So what I am seeing here is that people who's hulls got amazing overdrives, such as viking, love the update. Some people are being optimistic. Some people are being pessimistic. And the people who's hulls don't have good overdrives, hate the update (including me). The developers say this update brings strategy to the game. Maybe in competitive play, but not in MM and certainly not in low ranks. With the old system, ODs shifted most players focus to the team, rather than themselves because you could share the affects. With the current system, the overdrives are rarely, in match making battles, used for anything other than personal use. I have never seen a viking activate his overdrive to take out a mammoth that is attacking his base. He waits until he is attacking and may even run away from that mammoth to go attack. This would be because that viking wants to get personal value for his overdrive. I will say more later. Gtg for now.
