Whatever you choose to use you will get shot at :P Both are interesting turrets and suit hornet: with firebird and a light hull enemies will retreat but you can catch them up or take them by surprise, as for rico it's really powerful once you've mastered it. Try and make railguns miss you by putting them off balance, rico's knock back is amazing. My personal recommendation would be to use smoky. Very powerful up to mid distances, good impact force, but you'll have to rank to get it m1.
