Hi there. The Mac HTML5 Desktop client has been released for quite a bit of time now - here's a direct download link. It works faster for me when compared to the browser version, and hopefully it should work fine for you too.

This is an issue I've been monitoring for quite some time now. It's undersensitive for horizontal movement (in fact, the turret rotation speed is slower in HTML5 than that of Flash) but much too sensitive for vertical movement (I tap the up/down key once, and it overshoots so I miss a lotta shots). The zoom might have been fixed, but the crosshairs also need some work before they become bearable. 

Like I said, I figured that my explanation was the case, so I didn't know about this side of the story.

There already is on the MUs page for Hulls, but not yet for Turrets. I know because I've been hounding @Stratosphere for the data tables for a week now ?
The pages themselves will probably have data tables with deltas in between modifications either in percentages or in raw stats.
TL;DR - Soon. Just give Strato some time.

With the new update, you need to have at least Mk7 XP or BP to participate so there aren't any balancing issues. You have Mk5 Rail and Mk4 Hornet.
 
Hate to break it to ya, bud, but you won't be able to play XP/BP only battles just yet.
