  1. Good point, buddy. Thinking along the same lines, I decided that one option could be this: Tanki might give us a choice. Whether someone wants their previous nicks shown or not in their profile can be decided via a simple click or so on said player's behalf. What do you think?
  2. That's exactly what I do every time I visit that topic, mate. But the problem isn't that. That topic depends on user-inputs, like every other forum post, whereas what I'm proposing would show, mandatorily, all the nick changes for every single user of TO--regardless of whether they (or someone else on their behalf) have chosen to post in that topic informing us about their nick changes.
  3. Thanks a lot, mate. That topic already looks sort of messy though, right? Searching through it would be nightmare, me-thinks. The main problem with the idea that I can think of is people fearing for their privacy. Surely some of your friends will always know when you change your nick(s), but you might not want everybody to know about it/those all the time, just via a click or two of a button, at that. But one thing is for damn sure: Tanki HAS kept a record of who-was-who (and when, too, maybe). So let's see what people think.
  4. Thanks, am gonna look for it, too. But don't you think that page will eventually get too big for the forum to handle, though?
  5. Previous nicknames should be shown in profile P.S: The author does understand that this might be a contentious issue for some--if not most--tankers.(After all, imagine some Rail-Gun_King, e.g., never mastering the art & changing later to I_Am_The_God ((using hammer, nonetheless! :D )), or, say, some Devil_Is_Here morphed into Cutsey_Puppies (((possibly in the throes of love))), etc... You get my drift, right?) P.P.S.: None of the nicknames used herein have any intentional resemblance to real (in TO, i.e.) usernames as far as the author's knowledge (which--let's face it--is very limited in scope, mostly due to his sheer indolence) is concerned. So bear with him, please! :wub:
  6. Did you add up the digits of each year that falls between? :D Or did you look up a list of primes? :lol:

    Twitch vs. Starladder PSA

    This is something that seems to be creating quite the confusion amongst newer cyber-sport enthusiasts (as well as those who just wanted to get free drugs this starseries! :P ), especially in the far-away servers,and I'll keep it brief. If any similar topic has been created, which I personally couldn't find at a casual perusal, please feel free to redact this without even a moment's notice. ;) Bottomline: Twitch, where you probably registered to support one of the 4 top clans is different from Starladder. So keep that in mind, and register for starladder if you want to play in clans. Just because you joined twitch back then doesn't mean that you are automatically signed in at starladder too. The 2 entities are separate, and you'd be the wiser to remember that. Happy tanking, everybody.
  8. Interestingly enough, mine adds up to my exact age (in years) as well. Clues: in the 1980's; not a prime number; the prime before it is 1987, and the prime after it is 1993. So find out if you are--unfortunately, as most might say--mathematically inclined. :P
  9. I completely agree; hence my request that this article be brought forth to enlighten more and more n00bz. ;) (P.S.: Idk anyth. abt. said 'alt' that y're referring to, I'm afraid! Should I know it, somehow? :D If that's the case, then you can always PM me; no need to clog the fora's pipelines, after all. ;)) {P.P.S.: Please excuse my barrage of emoticons; I just can't help bein' a kiddie, apparently.}

    [Issue 25] Main Topic

    Guys, all is well, but I'd, somehow, prefer if at least a notification appears on the game's main page and/or @ the logging-in time informing all that this month's issue is out. After all, not everyone is aware as to when the paper is due, notwithstanding their eagerness to view it. Maybe take it up with the developers? (This is of course in keeping with my experience; it might very well be that a notification of sorts is out already, and that I'd missed it because I saw this too early--though not too early, apparently, considering the no. of posts above me.:P If that's the case, then feel free to redact my comment.)
  11. I like what you did with the rankings; top-notch. Bring 'em comin'.
  12. NOT BAD, NEW GUY... (If anybody didn't get the Daario Naharis joke from Game of Thrones, well, what can I say?!)
  13. , I understand your concerns. But try to think in shoes like mine (as well as a host of other newbies' who should've some interest in this, I hope, at least!) for a sec.: we're new players; the fora are an arcane and mysterious place to us; most don't even visit it. The result? Sheer and utter confusion when it comes to finding a trivial but useful piece of information as to how to use it. E.g., just the other day I spent about an hour trying to quote a user's nickname to no avail. Two consultants (one a veteran and another a trainee) failed me. And this is something I'd done before, here in the TO forum, i.e.! But somehow I'd just managed to forget the simple BBCode format (or the 'special' button that does it for us)! :P Finally got my answer thru' @Issho_Fujitora, who was kind enough to guide me to http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=182745. So my point is this: if more and more new players (who've just started to use TO and are either too lazy or too inept to dig out the archives) find something from this article and the sequels, maybe it's not such a bad thing?
  14. You finally did it! Came down to the level of us lesser mortals, i.e. (Sorry if I've bothered you for far too long in main chat demanding a lower-range paint review!) As for Mary, well, that being my current paint since I could afford and/or equip it, the freeze protection kinda helps. They are the most annoying of all turrets, after all! Thank you.

    [Issue 25] Leprotanki

    Surprise. Shock. Awe. Now all we need is a NecroTanki site, which'd probably list all the great old-timers. Jokes apart, thanks for informing us all about such a curious piece of web endeavour. Needless to say (at my rank, i.e.), wasn't aware of it before this post.
