I think most of tanki X is pretty much in Alpha testing really, not Beta, too many simple, basic bugs that should have been corrected, e.g: 1. pick up a flag and message says it's 'captured', no sounds or messages for drops, or captures 2. battle list empty half the time 3. random server disconnections 4. visuals are terrible, no idea if shots hit target, graphics like oversized cartoons, tanks same size as trees, graphics obscure drops 5. extremely slow to load 6. tanks flip randomly for no reason 7. too wide a range of tank levels on one battle 8. need XX xp for next level, score 10x that and still need the same 9. 'physics' are even worse than Tanki, weird bouncing, unrealistic acceleration etc 10 some displays too big and obscure gameplay, some missing (keep forgetting what team I was on :-D) 11 flags invisible sometimes and no-one can pick them up Graphics are set on loading - even with a Radeon HD6900 card I can only play half res, medium quality and that's stretching it. All in all, a bit of a waste of effort I reckon. They need some serious changes to the game play to be worth the effort, the same old maps with everything in the same place is not going to make people start from scratch again. Just my opinion so far, they got a lot of work to do to get to old Tanki quality and with nothing new I don't think cartoon graphics will convince people to make the switch.

Got my invite code for the closed testing! Link in the email to download the client doesn't work  Is there any other way to get the client?
  4. "The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner." Really? There is absolutely nothing in this update that has any relevance or affect whatsoever on unbalanced teams. It doesn't take a genius to see it either! If a 15 minute battle has a score of 4-4 I'd say it's pretty even, that's absolutely plain and obvious. So why, when either team score one more flag does it suddenly become 'unbalanced'? It doesn't, it's obvious. No one with any sense whatsoever would think that it ever could. If you really want to save face while we're all laughing at such a failure of a 'solution' then pretend it was a bug and that it's actualy meant to be one team scoring 5 without reply? That at least has some relevence to the balance. Then, go back to your Coding101 notes and refresh yourself about defining and meeting specifications! Then, find a measure of imbalanced teams, relative scoring rate might be one (total score is absolutley NOT!) and try using that. Then you may come up with a solution that addresses the problem instead of one which does not, will not and can not.
  5. Yup, definitely not related to the client computer. I even checked it out at work (I work in a computer science lab!) corei7, 16gb RAM and a 150GB internet connection and it's terrible there too. Tried all the tricks and tips, tried chrome, firefox and IE..... and with absolutely nothing else running - I even switched off virus scanner at one point. I was getting 5-15 fps. I even tried a sever with less than 250 clients and it's still bad. Getting to be pretty unplayable at times.
