I would like to participate in this contest. I do have one question, however: At the rank of Colonel, I currently own the M3 Thunder which I received when I purchased the Bulldozer Kit. If I win (hypothetically and wishfully), will that M3 that I currently own be Micro Upgraded to M4? And if I don't own something - say the Hunter M2 (I currently own M0) - will I be given a fully-MU'd M2 Hunter as a reward alongside the Thunder M4? Thanks in advance, AAD :D

I have properly installed AE, TTT, and WinRar, but I cannot find the 'props' folder when I try to load a new library. What am I doing wrong, and how can I import the new props? -
Raphael2, you said we can't use photoshop, but can we make a collage of a couple (4 max) images (w/o effects), or no? Also we submit the entries here, right? Dumb question - I know - but just wanna get that straight since there's usually a form. - AAD.

I am disappointed my entry did not receive a prize. I feel I was more original than, "Fight Fire With Fire."

There is no single winner. Let us both hope to win (in my case, I hope I win all three!)

Contest [Issue 34] Continue the Story... Returns! [Chapter 1]

Plight of Transgression Darkness. An inescapable void unto which we are bound and into which we are destined. An indescribable phenomena from which all life originates, and to where all shall disintegrate. There comes a time when nearly all shall perish within it; there are few who can escape... Left. Right. Left again. Once more right. The movement of my steps had become a senseless rhythm. One with which I came to know all too well. Dodge left. Duck. With an inhumane instinct I fled from the threat of defeat: I flung myself yet once more from the clutches of an imminent afterlife. Twenty men down. I was the solitary man of my platoon; a toon of once glamorous valor, brought into shadow by the void which consumed our enemies. The whizzing of bullets which reached and attempted to touch were suppressed by my unrelentless desire to continue living. A rift had occurred. A rift in the system which so thoroughly disturbed the gentle fabric of cooperation and content. A series of riots within my 31st century city broke down the government, and tore away at society. Complete and entire chaos. It had to be fixed. I knew the problems of our day originated from the past. I had lost my desire to live. A shell of iron; it shot me through the heart, and alas I was no more. I experienced it before. A time at the end: the end of life, when the gist of man was removed, and his soul hollowed as he transferred to another life. Although, I - and almost none other than me - made way along a new path, and therein established my plight of transgression. I had conquered the predestination set within the minds and spirits of those who died, and proceeded to journey through space in time. For what is seen, is conceived in the mind. The material reality apparent to whom perceives it - the lands walked, the feelings felt, the thoughts expressed, the emotions shared - is merely a fiction of the mind. It was never real at all. Bending laws of time and physics - which I aforementioned simply failed to ever exist at all - I travelled to a distant time and place. I returned to an era of peace and tranquil nature; one devoid of the corruption and massacre of the modern century (again, modern is an entirely relative term). I sought to set straight from the start and instill into the hearts, minds, and souls of the women and men of admirable nature a desire for straightened morale, and respectable spirits. The very clutches of death - of which I deferred- became a self-containing prison which I detoured in an endless cycle of creation and recreation. I had experienced all meant to be felt, and learned all conceivable knowledge. I had only but to hope that my knowledge would be passed onto those within the realms of my thoughts, and that maybe, through proper living and guidance, my thoughts might become free. -

Contest [Issue 32] Developer for a Day
AdustioAtqueDelerent replied to Pathfinder in Newspaper Archive
Developer for A Day Problems & Solutions: New Game Platform: The biggest issue currently present in Tanki is achieving a consistent, smooth frame rate. To improve the smoothness of our game, we are redesigning the game to operate on Unity, instead of Flash. Hackers: People using third party software to artificially increase their chances of success on the battlefield are fairly common, and make gameplay unfair to other tankers. To resolve this, we are imposing a stricter 'foul play' ban, which will now activate when it detects abnormal movement patterns, or an intrusion or confliction of other signals into the tanker's IP address. Balance of Turrets: Turrets such as Railgun and Ricochet greatly outnumber Smoky and Twins. One of the primary reasons these weapons are preferred is because of their superior range. Our next step in balancing will be extending the range of these shorter range weapons. Early Battle Ending: Currently, our automatic battle shortening system is too easily triggered. Our solution is to end the battle sooner only when there is an increasing gap between the teams, such as the number of player active, or the number of flags captured. Railgun Bug: A common bug is noticeable when Railguns can hit tanks even through walls. This is a result of lag, when one player sees his perfect shot, although his screen is actually delayed. While it is inconvenient for the player who's hit, it still is technically a fair shot. In order to resolve this, we are lowering the damage dealt by the shooter in this situation. Future Planning: New Flag Player Button (Kick system): This system will allow multiple players to vote or 'kick' someone out of a battle. Point Tool & Ability to Copy Text A keyboard command in which an arrow above your tank indicates a direction and general information (such as, "Get the Flag"). This, combined with a future ability to copy text (in battle) and paste it into a translator would allow much more effective communication in battles between players who speak different languages. Improved Graphics & Mobile Support: By switching to Unity we are not just planning on improving the smoothness but also the graphics of the game, and the ability to play it on mobile devices. Increase popularity: Gaming community support (Steam): Adding support for popular online gaming communities, such as Steam, would offer online leaderboards and content, and allow future tankers to more readily discover Tanki. More Ads on Partnership sites: Online advertising has increased public awareness of many video games by posting incentives to play on numerous popular sites. Gaming Events outside of Russia: Tanki-related gaming events have been held in Russia, but similar conventions held in the U.S. would help gain players. Extra Content: Rating System: A bonus for tankers would be the re-introduction of the rating system, which is based on their monthly D/L average, and will reset every new press issue. Tankers thereafter will be rewarded crystals respective to their ranking amongst other players of their same nationality. - AdustioAtqueDelerent (499 Words, Excluding Title) -

This is my application for the Supplies Video Contest. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQQtdSPepZU&feature=youtu.be I understand this contest's challenge is not to complete the dares, but to tell how you should defeat them. My video covers other key aspects of using supplies, as well as how to prepare for and use strategy in a battle! I hope this tutorial helps! Contest [Issue 28] Continue the Story! [Chapter 3]

Part Three: The Oblivion Consortium I staggered against the wall of the hallway as I was thrown into the hellish pit of lies and deceit that engulfed everything I once believed. I was betrayed. With a quickness I lunged towards my dropped TT331. I attempted to confront my newfound enemy, only to fall into the darkness of unconsciousness. I awoke into the bindings of a cable's steely grasp. Boris grinned. "You will only find you are but a pawn in the hand of the mighty Lasker2; an expendable figure who shall succumb to manipulation, as you have witnessed." He said. I had no energy nor will to speak. Seeing the look of utter bewilderment upon my face he elaborated; "War is like a game. A game of strategy. First, you must move the pawns. Create a distraction. We, the Germans, have forged an alliance. A consortium, with the common goal to destroy Britain's power. Next, are the bishops and rooks. We're forming an internal power among our confederate by assisting to weaken Russian resistance. A front line support." This was madness! I knew I must escape from this evil in which I was ensnared. I searched my surroundings for an object with which to free myself. "Sacrifice the queen." Boris continued, "The Britons will never suspect a seemingly weak power to attack. Jump the knight. We will get behind the backs of our allies, at which point we shall destroy them from the inside. Checkmate. We shall use our forces and armaments available to become the dominant world power! Your usefulness shall come soon enough!" I discovered Dragovich laying nearby, evidentially neglected. Seeing he still wore his vest I knew he withheld a knife. An artillery shell exploded nearby, shaking the inside of the building. Seizing this opportunity, I slid over to him, pulled out his Kizlyar3, and freed myself of my restraint. "Halt!" Boris shouted. "Nach ihm!4" The German officers obeyed and raised their SMGs, ordering me to remain motionless. I threw myself behind the central pillar to avoid their fire. "Nein!" Boris exclaimed, "Do not shoot him! He has intelligence we need to infiltrate the U.S. Armory!" While missing me, the shots from their SMGs destroyed the roof support of the crumbling structure; the roof collapsed a moment later. Surviving the destruction, I began to venture outside, passing an injured Boris and two German officers, now buried in rubble. I hadn't made it very far when I received a shot to my right thigh. I fell to the ground in agony as Boris, SMG at side, approached. He must have been better off than he appeared. Still ahead, I limped out of the building, seeking to find a place to hide and message for help. Neither of us had gotten far, however, when we were confronted by a platoon of advancing tanks. American tanks! At last support had arrived! The line halted 20 metres outward from our current position. American General George S. Patton5 exited through the hatch. Turning in my direction Boris explained, "Allow me to introduce to you our allies, the U.S. Army!" Training his semi-auto on me, Patton spoke, "You have been played, Major Viktor! Checkmate." 1 TT33 - Russian semi-auto pistol, military standard from 1930-1952. 2 Lasker - German World Champion Chess player, held title from 1894-1921, used extraordinary tactical abilities to save and win the game even in difficult positions. 3 Kizlyar - Tactical Russian-made Knife 4 "Nach ihm" - German translation for; "Get him!" 5 Brigadier General George S. Patton - WW2 General, known for unpredictable, daring, and sometimes questionable actions.
