What gives? I post a question asking why I cannot log in because the log-in page does not appear. Instead an "invite code" box appears. No matter how I often I refresh...clicking the Play button displays the "invite code" box. Less than 10 minutes later...whoever is administering this forum deletes my question from the forum without answering it. So you'd rather delete the thread than just answer the question? Is that how you're treating long-time players now?
  4. More than half of the Tanki updates since early 2013 have ruined the game. Development has been focused on two groups: buyers and new players. It's clear to anyone who has been playing for several years that the changes cater specifically to making the game too easy (and too expensive in either time or $)....it all started back when they began marking the drop locations for supplies. Another was Shaft's laser (what sort of imbecile puts a visible laser on a "sniper"?). Twins unnecessary self damage ruined its close quarters combat. Overdrive (and before that the stupid staggered timing of supplies) took away the ability to better control supply combos. Removing Isidas self-healing "vampirism" (another dumb idea that took away a key strength). The cost of MUs...the constant fiddling with the way MUs work....the ridiculous cost (time and crys) of speedups. Holy sht...the recent matchmaking BS is a nightmare. The notion that players now need to pay for PRO passes just to be able to pick matches. That has to be the biggest display of stupidity in recent memory. I could add hundreds of negatives to this list going back as far as 2013. There's only one reason I stick around....and it isn't for regular gameplay. ;-) I've found other ways to have a little fun. Otherwise I'd have left this trash heap years ago.

What's the deal? I press the big green play button as I've done for years now...and all I get is a box asking me for an "invite code". That's it. No log in boxes...no New Player boxes. Just an "invite code". System bug? I was under the impression that the June 6th Game was completely unrelated and not on the primary servers. Why would I need an invite code for ordinary game play? (update: of course 5 minutes later the server is now "undergoing maintenance"...so maybe it was a bug. We shall see when it's back online.

    III-No_Limit-III using a speed hack

Hello ! You need to record a video which clearly shows the violation. Quality of the video must allow moderators to easily understand nicknames and ranks of all the players. Before creating this topic , Please read : *** GAME VIOLATIONS SECTION RULES ***

Thanks for the clarification. Do you happen to know if this glitch (due to miscounting tanks as they enter and leave battle) is the same one that allows disproportionately sized teams to continue for lengthy periods of time before the short timer begins? On many occasions in recent weeks I've seen 50% of a team leave a match (leaving, for example 3 vs 10) and the timer doesn't kick in to end the match early. It's as if the system doesn't know half the players of a team have left the match.

http://tankionline.com/battle-en.html#/battle=2aaaaaba20c1f5ac Impossible to have a battle with 18 tanks, is it not? Glitch in the math? Hackers? Who knows. That screen shot was taken 1:35pm EST (GMT -5) today.

Your questions for this week's V-LOG

The topic choices are many. I'll focus on just one - turrets. Here's a question for both the developers and Tanki's executives.... Over the past few years you've consistently ruined existing turrets and ignored player input, why? The topic 3 idiotic turret changes in no particular order: shaft's ridiculous laser: I commented on this when it was first released years ago. It killed the number one purpose of a sniper: stealth. Ask a Russian sniper if he'd be stupid enough to use a visible laser. Of course he wouldn't. isida's loss of self-healing: This killed isida's strategic role as a healer able to focus on healing other turrets rather than running around the board healing each other or chasing health kits. twins splash self-damage: One of twins strategic advantages--an ability that offset its short range and relatively crappy damage--was its ability to help push and move hulls both friendly and enemy. This was especially true on ramps where it was effective at using close-range-impact of its rounds to push, lift and kill enemy tanks to keep them from coming up. These are just 3 of the many examples where development choices ruined turrets. If players had no investment at all in the game, then it would be understandable that Tanki staff could do whatever it likes whenever it likes. However, many hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of players have invested in equipment and upgrades. They've invested thousands of hours of time to earn crystals used to purchase these items. More importantly, many invested tens, hundreds, and in some cases thousands of dollars, CASH $$, to purchase these items for the abilities they had. I didn't purchase m2 and m3 shaft, isida and twins turrets and upgrades for my accounts years ago with an expectation that Tanki would ruin them later. Had I known that would happen I would not have spent a single penny on Tanki. I spent a few hundred USD on Tanki years ago. Guess what? I have not spent a single cent, not a penny on Tanki since the day it ruined shaft with a laser. You lost a paying customer. Now I return every once in a while to play for free because Tanki doesn't deserve any further money from me. Imagine you've spent $8k of your real-world hard earned cash/crystals on a top-of-the-line AWM sniper rifle. If you're a sniper you'd be pretty excited wouldn't you? How would you feel when Accuracy International (the manufacturer of the AWM) tells you that it's going to install a visible laser you did not request, and do not like on the rifle you had already purchased? You'd be pissed off, and rightly so. You'd complain. Now imagine the company doesn't listen to you and decides to follow through with the changes anyway. You'd be even more pissed off because the company didn't listen and completely ruined the investment you made in the weapon. That is what Tanki has been doing to its players year after year. Changes such as the ones I mentioned above were a big slap in the face to players who invested time and real-world money into their favorite turrets. Yet over the past few years Tanki has repeatedly demonstrated that it absolutely does not care what players really have to say. Instead, it offers up contests, giveaways, new turrets and other distractions hoping to offset the damage of its decisions. Its one thing to apply new changes to equipment that has not yet been purchased by a player. They can decide i they want the equipment with the new changes. Its another thing entirely to apply the changes to equipment that had already been purchased in the past. Players should be given a choice of whether they wish to accept or decline new features for equipment they have already purchased. So I ask again, why have you ruined turrets in which players were heavily invested with hard earned time and money and ignored the pleas of those players?

New balance changes and other features

3+ years, multiple accounts. I have thousands of hours of experience under my belt since 2013. This update is now officially the worst I've seen in the past 3+ years. What the hell happened to the physics of the hulls? These damn things are undriveable. Wasp is chaos on wheels (I have M0 through M3 across accounts, same issue with all). Massive oversteer. Flaky turning. Constant issues with the keyboard becoming unresponsive. At times I sit with a turret that wont turn and a hull that wont turn or move. Physics of object impact and rebound is all f'd up. Fire the group of developers that worked on this update. They took handling perfection and ruined it. And for what? Obviously this wasn't an improvement.

Rank Number Eight To Use Chat?

To justify this poor decision, the single biggest reason cited by Tanki administration is that game play information is already "available in Wiki pages". It's a poor excuse. And the end result is that it punishes many thousands of players for the actions of proportionally few. Worse...it's a temporary fix. The moment trolls achieve M Sgt they'll start trolling verbally anyway. Sure their account *might* be banned. Creating a new one is free, easy and a couple clicks away. In a few days they'll be right back to the same old behaviors. The is just another poor decision forced upon the Tanki community. No vote, and no request for player opinions....especially the opinions of experienced players. As usual the overlords simply dictate the new rules. Here's the immediate impact of the decision: We can no longer provide advice to new players who need it most. Players now sit upside down, sometimes for several minutes or more during a match, with flags that teammates cannot retrieve from them. Not only do the players not know that F releases the flag....their own teammates cannot tell them. A source of frustration for the entire team. Players now sit upside down for significant portions of a match once they flip over. Not only do they not know how to self-destruct, other players cannot tell them how to do it. So they occupy a spot on a team that could be occupied by an active player. This is no different than having mults on a team. Again, this is frustrating to all members of the team. Players use dropped supplies when they don't need them, depriving their teammates of these supplies. Or, they pass supplies by when they should use them. While I've seen this in higher ranks, it happens frequently in low rank matches. We can no longer explain to these players how to effectively use supplies. Players can no longer communicate that they see an enemy flag carrier hiding, or where they are hiding with the flag. More frustration. Players can no longer communicate enemy positions or travel....this is key to effectively working as a team. More frustration. This list goes on and on. The lack of communication available now in low ranks makes a challenging game even more difficult to the point of frustration. Both for new players who cannot figure out what they're doing incorrectly, and the more experienced players who can no longer provide advice. The answer is not a Wiki. Kids read wikis like their parents read account terms & conditions....that is to say they don't read them. It's a nice thought and significant time and effort goes into creating and maintaining a Wiki...but it's simply not the solution. These kids need advice in real time while they're playing and while they're making mistakes. Experienced players are happy to provide it. But that option has been taken away. Tanki needs to find a different solution. Perhaps one account per registered email to curb the number of users with multiple accounts, or some other similar measures. I thought adding the laser to shaft was the most idiotic decision ever made by Tanki. I was wrong. Eliminating the ability for new players to communicate is the most idiotic decision ever made by Tanki.

Reserve your nickname for Tanki X!

Thanks, I will try to contact a mod. There are no other accounts linked to this email account. In fact, the only reason this Tanki account was ever linked to my personal email was due to a promotion Tanki ran way back in early 2014 or late 2013. To take advantage of the promotion players had to link an email account…it wasn’t optional. Thanks for the mod names…appreciated.

Reserve your nickname for Tanki X!

That confirmation and email verification process was completed more than 18 months ago. The system still doesn’t acknowledge there is a confirmed email on file. I wouldn’t be here wasting my time if this wasn’t already the case. And my attempt to re-enter and save the email does absolutely nothing. Sure the profile page acts as if it saves my email address again, but there is no new confirmation email and the Tanki X registration still claims there’s no email on file. And before you ask: 1) yes I spelled the email address correctly…the same one I had linked to the account since 2014, and 2) there’s no new confrmation email in my spam folder or any other folder. Rather than: a) repeatedly making guesses about why the process might not be working (considering I am not the only one experiencing this issue), and b) providing the same old unhelpful generic crappy links and information to a “solution" many of us have already attempted multiple times perhaps the Tanki development teams responsible for security, access control and registration should look into it. There’s a bug in the code, perhaps more than just one. Find it and fix it.

Reserve your nickname for Tanki X!

The reservation system is not working properly. I have an email linked to my account already (has been linked for more than a year now) yet when I try to reserve the nickname for Tanki X I get an error message telling me that I must link an email to the account. I doublechecked in my profile and my email is definitely still attached to my account. So…how do I reserve the name? And yes I already retyped it and saved it again according to this earlier answer (below) and it still does not see that my email is linked already.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

I used shaft almost exclusively last year until the laser was introduced. Shortly afterward I stopped using it. At the time I was very much an expert with sniping. Today I attempted to use the shaft and I was extremely disappointed. For whatever reason, my shots in sniper mode did not seem to be hitting their targets. Has anything changed with shaft of which I should be aware? I shot the weapon thousands of times last year and I knew how to use it very well. But I swear it doesn’t seem like my shots are landing where I am aiming. I see small puffs of dirt off center but often cannot tell if that’s supposed to be my shot, or another player’s. Very weird. From what I have been reading it sounds like some mouse control update may have affected the turret in unexpected ways. I use the keyboard and I have never seen the turret so inaccurate. I also recall that there was some random movement in the barrel…which I was accustomed to. Now it seems to be gone. Did they do away with it?
