    Update 254 — Balancing of Turrets and Hulls

    Dear developers of Tanki Online, I want to address the changes to the hulls and turrets. Firstly, let's look at Viking, that used to be the heaviest and strongest medium hull, which is an important characteristic which gave it its popularity, completely reversing these characteristics makes anything that players were used to irrelevant. It's fine that the game addresses the problems of inequality in tanks but that means you would have to give players refunds, and more importantly changing the kits. Medium m2 kit should have m2 thunder and m2 dictator shouldn't it? I understand that viking was a little overpowered so its armor had to be reduced, but why change its characteristic by making it the lightest medium tank. Also, the huge reduction in the damage of Thunder is a concern. I realise that m2 damage now, is as good as m0 damage was before the update. And why is there a change between range of smoky and thunder. I understand now smoky is a short range medium weapon, while thunder is a long range and medium, but the whole point of thunder was its splash damage and of course the disadvantage of self damage (but it made up for with powerful damage), which was good in short range and medium as tanks were closer to each other. Also firebird reload time is as good as freeze, which completely takes away the specialty of the turrets, and firebird gets a huge advantage since its damage is higher, has burn effect and reload time is as good as freeze, so who would want to have freeze instead of firebird? My concern here is that player's hard earned crystals have been wasted since they now favour one hull/turret over another that they have, and I am hesitant to buy/upgrade anything else since i know that the very new tanki online on unity is going to be released and that would completely change everything the whole dynamic of the game, so decisions cannot be made now. Maybe in time players will get used to the new stats, but now it just seems like the whole characteristic of what we were used to, or made the game dynamic is lost. For example, now when a thunder is shooting me i dont even need to be afraid. I would like to point out that majority of the players are teenagers and kids who want to have fun in this game, and it only seems like buyers are having the fun, with their drugging supplies and advantage in tanks and turrets, and the game has become ruled by druggers, so how is that fair? If inequality is to be addressed with the rebalance, what about buyers? and constant drugging? Thank you
