  1. Why shot effects? Their implementation will basically remove from the game, the experience gained by your expert players which enabled them to determine the turret and "M" level of most shots fired from the color of the shot. It is like allowing drivers to arbitrarily change the color of traffic lights while driving. Imagine the color "purple" replacing "green" lights, "peach" replacing "red" lights, and "lime green" replacing "orange" lights. The experienced drivers would no longer be able to react instantly to a traffic light. Having to push a button to determine the meaning of the light they see would greatly increase the drivers' reaction times and cause many accidents. The kiddies who want to play with colors can easily get a finger painting app for their smart phones.

    Battle Indicators, PRO Rugby

Where can we find a list of the new battle Indicator ICONs together with their respective meanings?
  3. When "click" on "ratings" button on top of home page, one is returned to the home page. When in game and "click" on players name and select "profile" , you get "Page not found". The features appear to be broken.
  4. I have two questions concerning the usage of the Standalone Flash player with the Unified Battle List. The information in the Wiki is out of date and and does not reflect the Unified Battle List. Both questions concern the "link/URL" to be copied into the "File>Open>Location. Question 1. What "link/URL" should I use when starting a Tanki Online session? Question 2. What "link/URL" should I use when re-starting a Tanki Online session session after a server failure so that I re-join the battle I was in without losing the XP earned, etc?
  5. I just tried the new automatic match menu twice using one of my lower level accounts - a first lieutenant. The first time, I selected "Deathmatch" with no others in my group. After waiting a minute, I was in a CTF on Kunger NOT a DM! There was no indication of the name of the map I was assigned to. With out a brief "title" giving the name of the map as we are entering battle, how will less experienced players learn the names of the maps? The second time, I also selected "Deathmatch" with no others in my group. After waiting a minute and a half, I was finally in a DM. There were times the lag was so bad, it seemed like I was vibrating in a car riding on railroad ties. There were full colonels in the battle with my first lieutenant. Their experience level is more than 200,000 experience points higher than mine with much more powerful weapons. This is not a good way for players to enjoy battles.
  6. There are no captions
  7. #Removemisionsupdate Most of the battles I participate in are PRO battles with supplies off and supply drops turned off. I applauded the efforts by Tanki last year to introduce the use of PRO passes to the lower ranks by awarding daily free PRO passes for a period and lowering the cost of PRO passes to these ranks after the awarding of free daily PRO passes stopped. Before Patch Update #451, I always completed my daily missions in PRO battles with supplies off and supply drops turned off. Now, in order to complete my daily missions with the changes in daily missions introduced by Patch Update #451, I am now forced to compete in 15 minute battles with all forms of supply usage turned on. Format battles like XP/BP are unavailable for daily missions since they are PRO battles. Competing in 15 minute battles against opponents who are liberally using supplies forces me to also use supplies in order to be competitive. The cost of the supplies I must use often exceeds the value of the completed mission. Long missions like earning 99,999 XP and making 9,999 kills are impossible to complete in non-PRO battles without spending more on my used supplies than the mission is worth. It looks like the introduction of Patch Update #451, will force me and many of my fellow tankers to STOP doing my daily missions as they are no longer profitable. Please remove the daily missions change in Patch Update #451 from Tankionline

Changes in garage and reworked CP

I was watching a Poly CP game today and there appears to be a bug in the new scoring. Team B was behind and began coming back and, as expected, Team A's score decreased as Team B's score increased. Eventually, Team B passed Team A but, as the now leading team B's score kept increasing, Team A's score continued to decrease. Is this the way the new CP scoring is supposed to work?

    Experimental Camera Speed

I disagree with the above comment. While I know Tanki isn't here to babysit us, Tanki is here to police their game and enforce their rules. Enforcing the "no hack" rules could be done by developers who could include code in their flash client that would either: Periodically compare the values in memory that contain the parameters for the current turret, hull, and paint with saved original values and report discrepancies back to the game server. The server would log the first five occurrences of discrepancies for a tanker in a battle. Periodically send the values in memory that contain the parameters for the current turret, hull, and paint back to the server where these values could be compared against the actual values sent to the client. Again the server would log the first five occurrences of discrepancies for a tanker in a battle. The logs could then be later examined and tankers with a history of operational parameter changes (hacking) could be barred! If Tankers who cheat by "Hacking" were easily caught and "barred", those first caught would be eliminated from the Tanki community and after hearing about the first group of barred hackers, others would probably discontinue their hacking for fear of losing their Tanki accounts.

    Experimental Camera Speed

I personally like the new camera speed but I also know that others don't like it and that among some of those who do not like it, there are complaints of motion sickness and disorientation. Perhaps everyone would be happy if the developers either added a new option so that individual tankers could either turn the camera speedup on or off or a added a slider to adjust the the camera speed.
  12. I too find the "Updated system for earlier battle finish" is not yet ready for use by the general Tankionline population. The algorithms used to determine both: When a battle battle becomes subject to early battle finish and When a battle is no longer subject to early battle finish are flawed. Warning klaxons for early battle finish frequently blare at the very beginning of many battles, followed 10 seconds later by warning klaxons terminating early battle finish. Why? During normal game play, warning klaxons for early battle finish correctly sound, but are shortly followed by warning klaxons terminating early battle finish. This process repeats over and over - It seems that the termination algorithm is flawed. In any case, the result of the "Updated system for earlier battle finish" is a nearly constant blaring of klaxons which drown-out the very important battle sounds like "flag taken", "flag returned", turret firing nearby, and "Gold box will fall". These Klaxons are MOST irritating!
  13. I purchased the new "Vulcan" turret during the recent "garage" sale. When I later began planning micro-upgrades for the "Vulcan", I entered my "Garage", and clicked on the "Vulcan" turret now located in "MY ITEMS". I then clicked on the "Upgrade" button to display the pop-up "UPGRADE" dialog box. This is what I saw The third upgradable Item in the "UPGRADE" popup is labeled as "Reload Time" when in fact "Reload Time" has no relevance to the Vulcan. I believe the third item should be labeled as "Time before overheating" as it is in the Micro-upgrade portion of TankiWiki (See http://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_Vulcan). This incorrect labeling could cause confusion when tankers attempt to upgrade their "Vulcan" turrets. Also, the Icon shown with the third upgradeable item (in both the "UPGRADE" popup and the "INFORMATION" area) is the Icon for "Reload Time" (Which consists of an cannon shell and a clock). I would suggest a new icon consisting of a clock and a flame to indicate "Time before overheating". My PC is an Alienware 17 laptop with 16 GB of memory, running Windows 7 (64 bit version). My internet connection is cable based with the capability of 20 Mb download speeds and 2 Mb upload speeds. For playing Tanki, I utilize the standalone Flash player v 16.0.0.235. For browsing the Tanki home-page, Forum, Wiki, and other associated pages, I use Firefox v 36.0

    Let's discuss new paints!

Simon When will the TankiWiki micro-upgrade pages be completed for the new Vulcan paints? Currently these TankiWiki micro-upgrade pages are "stubs" containing only the following statement: "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs."Thanx :)

    Standalone Flash Player troubles

I have the same problem when I try to start the "Standalone Flash Player" with an "English" server. EN1 used to be accessed with "File" --> OPEN: http://tankionline.com/AlternativaLoader.swf?config=c38.tankionline.com/config.xml&resources=s.tankionline.com&lang=en&locale=en When I do try the above; I get the following message: "Server is unavailable as it is under maintenance. We apologize ..." However, I can start the Standalone Flash Player on Russian servers. For example, to start with RU2, use "File" --> OPEN: http://tankionline.com/AlternativaLoader.swf?config=c2.tankionline.com/config.xml&resources=s.tankionline.com&lang=en&locale=en and then switch to an English server once you get the "Battles" screen. Note: "Hover" the above URLs with your mouse pointer to see their full syntax
