    Demolition WAR

Dear Tanki Online Support, The current Demolition WAR tasks need to be clarified. I check the status on a daily basis; as shown in the image below:- it states delivery of flags or RUGBY BALLS. This inferred that I can play CTF / Assault / Rugby battles to achieve this goal. I played Assault / Rugby battles for a bit of variety and noticed the count for this task was not going up as expected. However, since none of the other statistics were changing on the status screen, I considered this a lag in updating the numbers. Tonight, I became suspicious and went back to find the original announcement of the Demolition War and on that HTML page it states only CTF mode for this task; as shown in the image below:- I wasted hours playing battles that do not count towards completing this task. I am probably not the only player misled after seeing the task description from the Demolition War status screen so a broader announcement to all participants of the Demolition War should be made clarifying what directives should be followed to complete this particular task. Regards Michelion
  2. Yes, I like all these new animated paints . . . . on other people's tanks! :) It feels more justified singling them out for special treatment on the battlefield, because they are so BLAST-worthy; the paints just scream "Shoot Me, Shoot Me. . ."

    THE GAME: winners

Thank you willkillu and millsman; this is good to know, should in the future, the Quest puts another clue "out of bounds".

    THE GAME: winners

I tried to see the clues on the Cologne map (i.e. icons that spell out "tankionline.com/wasp") but they seem to be on the side of a building where access is blocked from the road. Is this achieved by some parkour feat or some other trick?

Test the Night Mode for maps!

It has been mentioned a number of times that the laser gives away the tank's position and this negates the effort a shaft / sniper tanker invests in finding a good vantage point with cover on the battlefield. Even before the shot is made, the laser gives way their position allowing team mates to intervene with either counter fire to upset the aim or text warning to target. The second problem is that the laser sight gives away the sniper's anticipation or plan. The Shaft turret moves slowly in sniper mode so for fast moving targets you have to anticipate their move, pick your spot and power up for the kill. Drawing from my experience on the test server on the stadium map, I was moving to collect a supply on the ground and immediately changed course when I saw the laser beam in front of the box. Obviously, I was pleased that I could evade the planned sniper shot, but no other turret on Tanki is penalized in this way (e.g. we don't get warning sirens whan a Freeze sneeks up behind you and freezes your ass). The positive comments on the laser sight have been the look of the beam, which it is shown in a lot of Hollywood movies because it is more dramatic than telescopic sights and really that is just that. It is said "variety is the spice of life" and each turrent provides their unique flavour to the game and shaft represents the cover/camoulage/"one shot - one kill" aspects of the battle. The laser scope really undermines the use of this turret and should not be deployed unless it is the plan to replace shaft with the new guns.

    Changes in Product Kits

It is interesting that the new M3 kit has stirred up so much controversy when first presented as obtainable at the Brigadier level. Although I empathize with the opinion that Brigadier was too low a rank for something like the Clay paint; the revised level seems an over correction due to early feedback that cannot be representative of the entire membership (approximately 390,280 in the forum list). A vocal minority does not necessarily have the right argument because they submitted their opinion earlier or louder. Considering these kits are discounted; presume that the Marketing department (Forum topic: How Discounts are Designed) have carried out the analysis of the entire membership base to come up with the offers. The argument here is that this team has delivered offers consistently and successfully on a monthly basis. The measure of success is based on Tanki Online being still in business since 2009 as opposed the self-centered viewpoint that something cannot be successful if they did not buy. Given that Marketing have years of proven experience and have analyzed the entire membership vs. about 100 opinions; the former should be making business decisions that affect Tanki Online. I am not stating that feedback from actual players should not be taken into account, just weighted appropriately that their opinion alone does not sway a methodically planned sales offering to bring in revenue into no sale. It is not yet proven that nobody will buy the new Medium tank M3 kit, but I for one will not be interested. Firebird M3 can be acquired on its own at the rank of Commander without buying extra items in the package that might be redundant or not wanted. In addition, Hornet M3 and the Prodigi paint are available at the earlier rank of Fieldmarshal and Marshall, respectively. I enjoy playing Tanki Online so happy to buy and contribute to the continued existence of the game. Rounding out the argument, Semyon Kirov, unless you are happy to work for no pay, allow Marketing & Sales to bring in the revenue. When taking opinions on the product kits or other offers please bear in mind that arguments of what is balanced, over-powered, expensive, etc. are mute when there is no more Tanki Online.
