A nice feature have to admit. I'm loving the clan chat, one of the best updates so far. However, why only 12 members allowed in a clan? Most clans have a lot more memebers, 12 isn't simply enough. Hopefully, in the future they'll allow more members to join a clan.

You are right, let me explain it further. Now paints are just for looks, they will not give you any protection. You will have to buy Protection modules. As you can see for yourself on the picture above, there is nothing listed (No Protection). Go to Garage, and press "Protection". You have to buy one of those to help you protect your tank.
